I actually bought a second fine dust filter cartridge so when the time comes to was the filter, I swap them out and then I can wash the filter at my convenience, and let it dry and not be without my vacuum while the filter is drying. Then later when it is time to wash the filter again, I just swap them back.

The latch on the canister is a weak point noticed the door doesn’t lock well. So when you remove the canister to dump it, it unlatches and all the dust falls on the floor.

    1) Miele has a Hepa airclean livetime filter and cannot be replaced, but dust comes also on this filter, bad. What can couse a overheating motor, dust in the motor, motor break.
    2) the transparant holder for dust, has two klep hinge and that is a weak point and will break.
We all can see that this is not a livetime hepa airclean filter.
And this for a 267 to 500 euro machine,
    Miele must do better!!!
No, Miele is not always better.

Got mine for over 3 years now. The white one, and bought the parquetfloor brush extra.
      Setback for a total of 380 euro's.
I needed to disassemble mine because of the wire broke internally.
There is a little white foampad in front of the HEPA filter. It was black because of the carbondust from the motor.
The HEPA filter looked 'clean'. Cleaned the foampad and reinstalled.
But for normal consumers this would be a no-go.
After 3 years my conclusion is, i find the vacuum clumsy and heavy to use. It's only been used on wooden flooring.
Very thick powercord, (yet it broke internally from the reel) but very small wheels which makes it very low. Therefore it's always stuck on it's own cord. And, the hose is way too thick and not very flexible, which you can already see in the video.
Hinge release is a little flimsy, which can be annoying.
The integrated dust brush just broke after a couple of months.
The power is.. meh. We've got parrots, and the special parquet floor accesoire isn't capable of sucking in the food pellets. Very annoying, since i have an extra small and cheap B&D Dustbuster which doesn't have any problem with it.
So no, the next vacuum won't be a Miele.

Avoid the Miele Blizzard! Tried one out and trust me, the Miele C3 bagged canisters are FAR SUPERIOR! These bagless canisters don't have nearly as much suction and airflow through the hose, and you will need to do a LOT of maintenance on the filter to keep the performance good. Just get the bagged canisters and spend the money on the bags, it's worth it! Even if you have to use generic bags so you can afford it.

SEB 217-3 power head stopped working after one year despite regular cleaning out of debris. I can't figure out what is wrong, all looks intact.
Guess what Miele -- if you're going to build in obsolescence there's no point in me forking out hundreds for something that will fail despite being careful with it (because I don't have money to burn I am actually careful with my things). I will not buy you again. I shouldn't have to find an expensive repair place after slightly over one year of careful use. It was bad enough paying $5 a pop for you tiny vacuum bags but I thought if the vacuum did a good job I would pay.
    I learned my lesson!!
I guess I will go back to buying cheap vacuums because I don't want to feel like a sucker buying a new power head after 1 year.
And this will be deleted in 3...2....1....
