- Every day, hundreds of business people from over 20 African countries look for goods in the neighborhoods of Xiaobei and Dengfeng in the city of Guangzhou. Locals now call this area, "Little Africa." But how many African expats are actually in Guangzhou? Some media outlets put the number as high as 200,000, but an official from Guangzhou's police department said that is a gross exaggeration.

Also, We like foreigners who want to stay in China learn some basic Chinese. There are some foreigners living there for years still expecting Chinese to speak English to them (most of them are from the West, although), and complaining about not being able to communicate. Who's fault is that? Africans and middle-easterners are usually willing to integrate with the locals. Westerners? not quite, and they like to judge us based on their values, annoying as hell.

it's hard if you're poor. My family took 7 years to immigrate to America via blood relatives already being US citizens. It would've been faster if my parents are wealthier or have skills that America needs. But my parents only got high school diploma, got no money, and don't speak English so it took us this long.
