The ride was a great time. I always find new trails when exploring at AOAA. The Talon is night and day versus the Trail. It is wide, but itss stance just keeps it planted and it loves the high angle climbs. I have to get used to the throttle response since it is instant and there's nothing between the engine and ground (The trans of course), but there's no lag, so I just have to apply throttle more carefully. Very comfortable and handles great with the Live Valve.
I went to AOAA back In October 2022. We hit the western trails. We were having a great time until my buddy snapped his rear axle on his Polaris Sportsman 570. We put in about 22miles for a three hour ride out to AOAA. I plan to go back because that place was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful country side.
I believe if you have a 2 day or yearly pass, you can come and go into the trail-park access, trail 1, but you have to have a tag already purchased. I am sure AOAA can chime in, but you cant ride in and grab a tag. I believe you have to sign the waiver and get your tag first at the front office, then once you're in town overnight, you can drive back. Just check the days the shamokin town trail is open. Last I saw it was 4 or 5 days of the week.
If I remember correctly, on the Eastern region area, follow trail 10 out and it should be in the vicinity of trail 17, 18 area. There are a few playgrounds, that's just what we called it, not an official name. :) A washout, creek, some hills and play area.
Would love for them to have lodging on site and being able to ride at night.:( I won’t make the drive for one day of riding then to pack up at night and go home that stinks :(
We stayed in Shamokin at an AirBNB which had a nice open lot for trailers. Worked out well, but this was before the town trail was completed fully. You can camp on site at AOAA if you rent or have a camper.
Would be a better place if it's rider's would remember that the surrounding properties are Not owned by AOAA and keep out of them . Kinda getting tired of seeing them drive through the baseball field here in Ranshaw and than produce a map they got from the idiots in charge.
Looked like a nice ride. So the real question is, how do you like like Honda and how does it compare to your Polaris?

Its one of my favorites for local, close riding and a wide variety of trail types and levels. Great trail labels and markings.
Had a awesome time riding with you guys I forgot how steep that hill was !!!!
Yes! Was lots of fun. Hope to ride with you again soon!
If you stay at a motel in town can you access the trails from there once you sign in?

@@TheBeatenTrail thank you - love your channel 👍
What trails are the area you called the “playground.” I’m new to Aoaa and want to check out some fun trails

Another awesome video. Thanks.
I watched Dave confiscate an entire cooler of beer last weekend. It was hilarious. If the signs aren’t enough then Dave will take it.
I would’ve liked to see that. Lol
what is the most popular SxS model you see ?
