- The siege of Jerusalem marked the end of the First Crusade, whose objective was Christian control of the city of Jerusalem and removing the Church of the Holy Sepulchre from Islamic control. The five-week siege began on 7 June 1099 and was carried out by the Christian forces of Western Europe mobilized by Pope Urban II after the Council of Clermont in 1095.

I'm always impressed by your engaging historical narratives and the high quality of your video production
Will you do a video on Bohemond and his armies taking of Antioch?
There is one on other channel similar to this I think it's name is kings and generals
@@ZainAli911-l4hthe first crusade all parts.
Now we're talking buddy.
Deus Lo Vult!!!
The crusade emerged during that period due to the Islamic armies massacring Christian cities and demolishing numerous historic churches established before to Islam, while also coercing citizens to acknowledge Islam as the supreme religion. All the European crusaders joined forces to combat Islam in order to halt its brutality.

I think this video is a great resource for anyone interested in the history of the Crusades.
This is my favorite channel. The videos on your channel are always high quality and even educational, so they are always fun to watch.🔥
The first and third Crusades are my favorites. The first for its magnanimous unity, strength of arms and unstopped success and the third for Lionheart's undefeated prowess and legendary feats. The first Crusade has always evoked the imagery of the Lord of the Rings prologue, the War of the Last Alliance for me. "But there were some, who resisted. A last alliance of men and elves (all Europeans), marched against the armies of Mordor (Islam), and on the slopes of Mount Doom (Jerusalem), they fought for the freedom of the world".

Great video!
The Crusades were 100% justified in principle and cause, but there was lots of things the Crusaders did that were very wrong. They unalived innocent civilians after capturing Antioch or Jerusalem, I might be wrong on which city, and attacked Constantinople. But unfortunately when you deal with mere men, you will have such atrocities committed. Overall, I do support the Crusades and see it as necessary against Islamic aggression that was started in the 7th century to 20th century, and somewhat in present times. It’s a complex topic.
It’s either justified when it comes to Antioch and Jerusalem.
Most of the Civilians, mostly Muslims might revolt with their Jihad technique and there are young people who wanted to become a Muslim soldier.
I don’t really like when they affect the Eastern Christians unjustly as well as Muslims and Jews who are moral and ignorant with their law without complimenting to become Christians.
God does not command them unlike in the Bible and children are not crack heads unlike the Canaanites. The Crusades is mostly defending themselves from hundreds of years of being pillaged.
@ I don’t agree with your opinion on the unaliving of the Muslim and Jewish civilians, I don’t know how this can be justified. You mind elaborating on this?
@@brandonmireles3249Do you understand that there are stages within Jihad and the Talmud?
If Muslims are in Majority then there wont be Christians and Jews but Muslims in a unjust manner.
Christians were persecuted and suffered from the hands of Muslims under the Majority.
There is a book called Defenders of the West by Raymond Ibrahim of how Christians were treated.
I agree it’s not justified. I only say it’s either. I don’t know but I need to know again because I realized.
@ I get it, I already know about this persecution. I just think it’s not right to slay the women and children.
@ Nvm. I realized. Too be honest, I felt the lost of civilians.
But thank you for making me realized.
The Crusades aim was NOT to murder but to defend themselves from Islam.
What software do you use to make these amazing videos?
Un vero piacere di vista 😊❤😊
That was a good one!

Thousands died all in the name of religion and a benevolent and merciful God.
Go cry somewhere else.
Well, go ahead and cry.
The crusaders use the name of jesus christ as an excuse for their crimes, they are nothing but hypocrites

That’s what happens when you poke the bear. What’s better a false prophet that was a pdfile warlord that’s named Mohammad??
Someone else saw the US flag on a crossbow men shield?
It's not even truly fair to call it a "siege". It was the retaking of the city from people who took it by force to begin with. I think the first thing we need to do in order to help correct the history that has been so perverted for so long, is to watch our language and use terms that help tell the story more honestly. It was a repatriation of Jerusalem
Battle OF Mu'tah
Another great victory for the Christians yes. Where the Eastern Romans under Prince Theodore defeated muslim arabs of the emerging caliphate, including a certain Khalid Ibn-Al-Walid whom muslims still claim was undefeated throughout his career. Hilariously enough, muslim sources of Ibn Ashaq and Al-Waquidi tried to exaggerate Christian numbers immensily, writing that they had up to a 100,000 men and even 200,000. When in reality it was likely beneath 10,000. I suppose muslim pride was hurt pretty bad that day.
what game is this?

No shock
No such thing Palestine especially in 1099. The whole area was called the Levant.
Check me...
I love how you try and change history...
Bull crap.
The earliest written record referring to Palestine as a geographical region is in the Histories of Herodotus in the 5th century BCE, which calls the area Palaistine, referring to the territory previously held by Philistia, a state that existed in that area from the 12th to the 7th century BCE.
While Palestine's boundaries have changed throughout history, it has generally comprised the southern portion of regions such as Syria or the Levant.
Terms like Pāleśtīnā and Fālasṭīn are sometimes used in secular historical contexts to refer to the land when it is under European or Arab control, respectively.
😎
Sh*t up soap
False.
The area was named Palestinta after the Bar kochva revolt against Hadrian and it was in 135 AD.
Hadrian banished most of the jews living in the area (the ones who were alive) and in order to humiliate them, he chose the name Palestin in the reference for the biblical Philistines that were originally from aegen area.
The area was never named palestine except in the Roman times. It was either called Judea or the holy land in the Christian crusade times...
@@ronnyohl It's true that the Romans renamed Israel to Palestine as a kind of insult or punishment to further separate the Jewish people from their homeland. Unfortunately, many people are too engrossed in their religious views and the news to notice this reality, so they continue to be in ignorance. The kingdom of Israel and Judah existed long before any invasion, beginning with the twelve tribes of Israel.
