Thanks for the quick hands-on impressions and perspective of aesthetics and experience. Furthermore kudos to yourself and the whole team on the quality of the content. It not only looks great but is tastefully edited with great transitions and wonderful choices in backing tracks! As always looking forward to the next video. Keep keeping on!

You sir, are oh so refreshing. Yes, looks matter with hi fi gear! And yes, what you stand for and the quality of your videos are very much appreciated. Kudos to the crew. I hope the outpouring of positive feedback you get in the comments gives you more energy and motivation to do more of these videos. 👍🏼

Even if every hi-fi reviewer did exactly the same type of review that you do, you would still be a hundred times better than the rest. I DO appreciate every review and the production is first class all the way. So glad you reviewed these. I'd love to hear them. Thank you Sir John. Cheers from Dallas. Yeah, that one.

Evidently the designers subscribe to the idea that, speakers shouldn't be 'anchored' firmly in super heavy stands, like the (until now) accepted method was.
I find these extremely good looking and I agree with your comments about the importance of looks, especially in a nicely decorated apartment such as yours.
The stands are a change from the 'boring' old style and, again, suit the futuristic style these speakers offer.
Great video as usual John, Thank You!

I replaced my Q Acoustics 3020 which I got for just 200€ with a pair of KEF LS50 and my initial thought was: WOW either these KEF really aren't that great or the 3020 are the bargain of the century.

You did a more than admirable job with this speaker/stand combination. For such an expenditure someone would have to do some serious listening with music they are most familiar with in order to make a sound decision. The fact you did such a good job describing the design of it will no doubt intrigue a listen. I’m afraid it is out of my means, but according to your video, it will likely be pursued by those who have the funds to play in this yard. Good job!

I used to own a pair of 3050i’s. They were, to put it mildly, mightily impressive on a multitude of levels. I’m currently seriously upgrading my system. Along my journey, I auditioned the Concept 500’s, it seemed to me to be the natural progression! How wrong was I? I found them ‘dull’ and ‘lack lustre’, really disappointing! I’m still looking-listening in that price bracket?

From all the praise I wonder if this would change my opinion of "drivers on a box" style speakers that have irregular vertical dispersion (Relative to something like the KEF LS50 mentioned... so far, I've not heard a single speaker I didn't wish for it to have a coincident coaxial driver.) After the "DINAS" Speaker (35hz F3), I wonder why these have a response of 55Hz - 30kHz... Large box seems like it should reach lower, but perhaps something else was prioritized during the design. Aesthetic? ;)
Important, but perhaps I wonder if there is any case where it doesn't come at the cost of the sound.

Nice design and probably sound technically ''impressive'' but are they musical? I was recently disappointed by the Buchardt S400 in that they checked all the boxes (deep bass, treble smoothness, soundstage, etc) but just didn't move me (in my setup).
When speakers are that imposing by their design they need to walk the walk as well. More unassuming looking speakers tend to lower expectations.

Style? Why should it matter, I mean your eyes can't hear the music. But then our experiences are not mono, we experience life using all of our senses. And all of our senses contribute to the experience. Stop and think, have you had an instance where a piece of music transports you back to the time you first heard it? And with the memory of the music comes a recollection of what you saw, smelled and felt at the time you were hearing the music. Tastes, what you might have been imbibing in, who you were with all come rushing back just from that auditory clue. The experience is integrative and can't be reduced to the sum of its parts. Sorry objectivists, measurements haven't yet been imagined that can define and categorize this, this important part of music that hasn't received the attention it deserves. And I say music and not "audio" as the experience of music is far more than just "audio" , just pressure waves generated by some device. So thanks John, thanks for pointing out that the experience of music is far more than just pressure waves.
