Designing a boat is the best way to learn what works and what doesn't. This is not a typical hull as it has features of both a displacement and planning hull. The sponsons probably help with tracking but would add drag at planning speeds. The small outboard would push this hull better if there was a small amount of rocker aft. If it floats, is fun and safe it is good!

Thank you all for your comments I have allot of requests for plans or measurements but this boat was something I did off of a drawing and took me about 3 weeks to finish. I only have one regret and that would have been to make the boat 24 feet instead of 16 feet it would have coast the same on materials. And I probably could have been able to put a steering wheel and controls with sets. But all and all still happy. Total build coat was around $700 from wood, hardware and fiberglass.

It’s a neat design! Kinda got the Boston whaler thing going on , minus the centre strake, and it looks like it’s really stable. Great job.
