Aco drains at the back on the patio...if water gets past then it will hit the water barrier (I put in) and drop down behind, down to the weep holes at the bottom
@@foundationgood123 Video shows very few weep holes in wall. Damp is a bad short term fix. Water Drips to the bottom. Should drill water vents too allow water drainage via retaining wall then should be good. Not your fault as its existing brickwork but try and resolve the existing majour problems
I reclaim ed as many as I could but there weren’t many I could save, fortunately there was some new bricks left over from an old project in the garden and I was able to use them. :-)
This is a good example of how relatively modern construction can be defective, The modern materials are dense, impermeable, lacking porosity and moisture evaporation.
If it had been designed and built properly with those considerations in mind it would still be sound. Notice how theirs know means of water to drain through the wall so it would just gather and freeze damaging the brickwork
It stops the moisture and salts passing through to the outside wall which happened previously! The DOM sends the moisture down to the weep holes. Hopefully that will help protect the wall!
The drive has been re -done and silica sand placed down, there's an aco drain to catch the surface rain water, however water will still seep through thats why I introduced a further precaution by introducing a DMP membrane to deflect the water away from the front bricks!!
Yes, I’ve been busy! Got some new stuff to make and upload…Just on an extension so thinking of putting stages of it on soon! Cheers for your input bro👍
Great work, and the grass endured really well! 👏👏👏

Nice job Chris. Those soldier courses can be a bit of a mare to make sure they all fit in equally. What's your method for that?
Nice job, How does the water drain away off the patio area didn"t see any vent holes in last course

Nice job 👍

You pulled a black shield between the wall and the brick. What will this do?
It stops the moisture and salts passing through to the outside wall which happened previously! The DOM sends the moisture down to the weep holes. Hopefully that will help protect the wall!
Tidy work , whats to stop rain permeating down through the pavers and same thing happening again?

No weep holes ? Good worker 👍
@@keithhunter8158 The DPM membrane takes the moisture to the bottom of the wall where the original weeping holes are!!!
Did I come back the next day to wash those or was that the same day
