    I love seeing the other years of biblioplan and how everyone uses it. It's such an amazing curriculum!! I wish every subject had a Family guide built like biblioplan. So many good resources and material suggestions!

    Literature suggestions! 😍 Online resources and movies!! What?! So cool! I normally do all that research on my own.

    I’m looking at this and story of the world. I know you’ve used both.. I would love a comparison video or a video explaining why you like biblioplan over story of the world!! ❤

    • @PenniesAndSalt
      @PenniesAndSalt  Рік тому +6

      Story of the world can actually be used along with it, however, the difference is this;
      Story of the world is literally history in story form with an activity guide with a few ideas for hands on activities, suggested read alouds, and review questions. Biblioplan goes into greater depth but provides engaging text can be used with every age level. They offer many different optional add-ons to make the course what you want as well read alouds for every age level, etc.
      so the difference is the depth, additional resources, and the vast age range.

    Good timing because I have to select what we will use next and i really like literature-based history, but my kids are old enough now they can do more hands-on activities and search the internet links too, so I want something that pulls in a bit more hands-on that I don't have to search for! I would definitely add the activity guides!

    I would love a video on the difference between biblio plan and mfw … You got me head spinning and thinking today 😂 we have used ECC this year with my 2nd, 4th & 6th grader and we used notgrass 50 states the year before and tgtb history the 2 years before
    So I have been on such a hunt deciding if we want to do creation to the Greeks next year and follow that cycle … we haven’t loved the science with mfw but we do love the read alouds and how simple it is to follow and pick and choose
    I’d love to hear why you like this more
    But now I’m really thinking we are going to do biblio plan … I had never heard of it before today … and add in story of the world
    Always love what you share & have to say!

    Watching this video again. Thanks for sharing. And I finally subscribed. This was so helpful. How long would you say it takes y’all to get through history? How do y’all think y’all will get high school credits for US history, geography, and government, and such? Would that also come from biblioplan? Thank you! We also have a channel and have tons of homeschool content. It would be fun to be friends! Love your content!

    Thanks so much for this! I was hooked when I saw your video on this last year, so it was nice to see it "in action" 😂 My kiddos are still pretty little, but my plan (for now, haha) is to switch to Biblioplan after my littles are school aged. We shall see 😁
    I just love that family guide! My question is, how do you decide which stuff to do/read? I feel like I would want to do every single thing 😂
    Again, thanks so much for doing this!

      I go with the mindset that the next time we cycle through we can do other components or go further.

    I am considering this History curriculum for my 3rd, 4th and 7th graders. Do you have to do 3 days a week? I was wanting to do history once maybe twice a week. & How long does it take you to do History as a family each day? Thanks!!

    Cool History for Middles.... do you use that as independent work for the older kids or as a group review at the end of lessons?

    • @PenniesAndSalt

      I have my older kiddos track along and fill in the answers as we read and then we go over it to review after as a family.

    Megan, in the past you have used MFW. What do you see as the biggest differences between these two? What is something that you have appreciated more in Biblioplan?

    • @PenniesAndSalt
      @PenniesAndSalt  Рік тому +1

      Biblioplan has the text component and My Father’s World doesn’t. The family guide is easier to follow and you can choose the pieces you want to use in order to tailor it for your family and your needs. It’s also k-12 and My Father’s World isn’t.

    You may have already answered this but at what age/level do you start history? I am new to homeschool this is our first year my son is in kindergarten next year will be 1st and wondering should I start history or hold off another year
