I had this as a project sheet from Michael's twenty + years ago. They put lace around the opening. They decorated inside like a fabrege egg. Guess you could use some seam binding etc for boys.
It is so much easier to paint the glue on the egg and take the yarn all around it or however you want to I just know u don’t get glue all on your hands
Yes u can. Just use something that will HOLD that material due to its thickness I say use clear drying gorilla glue Diluted with water & follow the same steps & go from there should last a VERY LONG time. Please do hit me up with pictures. Good luck on the project u got this.

Next time try to grease the balloon before wrapping the yarn, that will stop the yarn from sticking onto it.
