The fact that this is still being built in Tahara is amazing. I’m very impressed with the new 4Runner overall and I’m looking forward to seeing it in person! Thank you for showing us the walkaround!

Is it a good thing that it is made in Tahara?
Shouldn't it be good for the U.S. economy as well, since the Toyota plant in the U.S. is maturing and there are no quality issues?

TRD JON is a true Toyota fan with real skin in the Toyota game. Unlike some of these other UA-camrs who are already complaining that it doesn't have a pano roof and massaging seats. I liked seeing his initial reaction and quickly sizing the 4Runner up for his needs as a potential owner. Great first impression.

Seeing Jon geek out on stuff like the rear window switch is why he is a Toyota Fanboy like myself and thus an awesome reviewer and of all the ones I have watched thus far on the 6th gen 4Runner, the most genuine. It was nice how you could draw parallels to past 4Runners you owned and I liked how you did the 1st impression review for the 2nd half of the vehicle. Good job Toyota of bringing Jon out for his review...two thumbs up :). P.S., I do like what I see but not sure on the grille yet as it has a stacked looked to me so I need to see these in person to make up my mind.

Jon, you crushed it, great review in 9 minutes. The 6th Gen seems way better than I was thinking it would be. The major important thing in my mind that remains to be confirmed is long term reliability, especially engine and trans (but, hey, it's Toyota). Good items to me are: Made in Japan, rear window roll down with high mounted wiper, auto lift gate, huge 14" screen, 4H/4L, locking rear diff, body on frame, modernized interior, digital gauge cluster, and AUX buttons. Next, I'd like to see inside the engine bay and see SPECS, esp. MPGs and curb weights (regular vs. iForceMax). Thanks.

Jon, I don't care for the power steering wheel or the power tailgate, my dads car has a power steering wheel, doesn't work at all anymore, But I do like the new 4Runner, can't wait to see it and drive it, Beautiful.. Heck yea!!

Hey Jon, does the TRD Pro come with the isodynamic seats? Video not showing it but will it be another option?

Manual prop rod is an interesting savings, bring back a giant spring or something if not a couple shocks!

Definitely love the light bar included and the hood. But honestly not a fan of the copy and paste Tacoma features. I know they share a history but a distinction would probably make some people buy both. I guess the engine will just be something we need to see how it plays out 5 years from now. Long term stability will be a question until then.

Hey Jon, any update or hint on when the pricing is going to be released on the new Tacoma pro and trail hunter?

I'm really excited about the new 6th Gen Toyota 4Runners, especially this TRD Pro trim. 😍 And I really love the improvements: Rear hatch auto lift and shut! Large screen! Window buttons on the handle and not on the top of door! Off-road functions on the center console between driver & passenger seats. Cool tumble down back seats. So glad it's still made in Japan! It's the little things!
