Don't forget to find your local rescue group. I run a network of volunteer-based off-road recovery groups on Facebook. Search your state's name with 4X4 RESCUE at the end.
If you don't use Facebook go to offroadportal.org and they can network on your behalf.
Lastly, show some love to another UA-cam channel called Alpine Redneck Rescue. He's also a Rhino Ambassador.
Snow wheeling is gotta be one of the best ways to spend a day in my opinion
Same!
Good work Wes. Speaking as an old Dude, enjoy these times, they go by crazy fast.
Saw ya coming back from sac a few days ago.
Once my 79 scout 2 is ready I’ll join ya all
Wes I know that when it comes to snow wheeling having you as part of the group would definitely be a must since you know how to get people unstuck no matter what.
6:40 dog "this is embarrassing, i dont want to be on video"
Ha Ha, sharp eye. I hadn't noticed that at first. The dog most be camera shy.
I am not trying to be an ass, but a redirect as you were doing in the final pull doesn't double the pulling power. If you were using a winch on the stuck vehicle, then yes, but since you are using the winch on another vehicle, it's just a 1:1. Great video, keep the content coming!
100% correct. For anyone who doesn't grasp this check out the video smarter everyday did on snatchblocks
Gotta be smarter than the block!!
I came here to say that there is no mechanical advantage to one pulley. It’s irritating to hear people say this. Any they relay bad info that someone else gave them, it’s a vicious cycle.
@@Motodents If you are using the single pulley as a snatch block, there is a mechanical advantage... if you are pulling from another vehicle... it is only a redirect with no mechanical advantage.
Far cry from that Florida sand soup! Lots of fun!
Epic Music, Check. Epic Video, Check. Epic Content, Check. I think I just found a fast growing channel. Thank you for your attention to detail. Good stuff.
Great day
I air down to 4psi right off the bat then adjust lower from there when snow wheeling here in North Idaho. I’m running Gladiators 12 ply (Suck in the snow) Iroks are the way to go for all conditions!!! Only 6 ply for snow wheeling….
Great video
I’d like to see this channel get more subs
Lol, me too.
Throw a 3 to 4in ratchet strap around the tire crank it down as tight as you can it sometimes helps seat the tire
Another awesome recovery! Living the dream...
That looks so fun!
Once again another great video! Always love how you explain what's going on or what you're doing and why especially for the beginners.
Keep'em coming
Love your videos! Thanks for sharing....
I've never seen traction boards work well enough to justify buying them.
I’ve been using them a ton lately. Couple recoveries that would have been a nightmare without them
I think his problem with popping the bead off is that his (wheel) width is 10”? Use 8.5”-9” with that narrow of a tire. IMO 👍
Thank you for sharing.
With WARN and Factor 55, your in good standing 💪✌️
🤗❄️🌨️🥶🙏
Great video 👍👍
You need to hit up Ororo and get a heated coat.
I do need a heated jacket..lol
I watch the videos on my 75 in TV but gotta comment on my phone
Hey I appreciate the effort, comments help the algorithms
Same. Me and wife watch together on the tv
6:03 I think that bolt is not doing it's job lol
👍
Do you guys think All Terrains or Mud Tires are better in snow?
Probably mud terrain but I’ve seen AT do very well also. They just need to be aired down low
What compressor was used to fill them tires?
Excellent video and awesome Gladiator, thanks for sharing! 👍✌️ What size tires are you running?
They’re 37x12.5, hopefully going to 40s soon
@@4x4rescue74 - I’d like 40s as well, but as much as I hate to admit it 37s are a fantastic all around size for a Gladiator that isn’t off road 100% of the time. Thanks for the reply and keep up the awesome videos, glad I found your channel.
Have heard that it is not a good idea to have tires of different rolling circumferences across axles. Bad news for the ring and pinion gears. One can buy pressure bleed/relief valves to "air down" tires reproducibly at all four corners; they do it automatically to a preset pressure. Or use a tire pressure gauge with a push-button bleed valve on it.....$25.....one tire at a time. Have fun !
If it were driving on pavement it would be concerning. Mud, snow and sand wouldn’t hurt as long as it’s loose traction
Is great recoveries
Snow is pretty but wouldn't want to drive in it
