You're so right about booktube being dominated by Americans/Canadians and The Southerners. Its nice to hear some northern rep. I'm from Staffs so I'm supposed to be unbiased but I'm not because I've got northern family. As someone who's been doing this for a few years now, my advice is to try and overcome the British Awkwardness. I know it's hard at first but, trust me, you'll get over it. The key is to just embrace laughing at yourself. Make videos you enjoy and feel proud of. if you have a good time in front of the camera the audience will pick up on that. I think most viewers just want some authentic entertainment. Super excited to hear more of your content. Hope you're having a lovely day buddy.
Thank you so much for this thoughtful comment! I love hearing other fellow northerners noticing that the book space is really lacking diversity within the regions. I definitely feel my confidence growing, it’s just so unnatural speaking to a camera at first 😂but I’m learning with every video 🫶
ahh love ur accent! also the dog is soo cute and the pink aesthetic is great
Thank you! I was a bit worried people might not understand me haha (in the uk people seem to have a strong dislike for northern accents, Liverpudlian & Manchester particularly 🙃)
I will definitely check out your video, the book community is such a lovely place and I’m excited to share my love for books over here 💗
Welcome to BookTube to you, Mabel and Milo!
Twilight certainly gets a bad rap, but honestly, the those books are responsible for introducing so many people to reading.
Looking forward to seeing some more videos 😊
Thank you! 🥰 in all honesty I feel the same about twilight, sure it isn’t the best book, but it did get a whole generation of young people to pick up books (me included!) I’m very tempted to reread it as an adult to see how it holds up 😆
Welcome to the booktube fam! 🫶🏻
Thank you ☺️💗
Finally a trustworthy source I can visit for book recommendations 💁♀️

welcome to booktube!! I also started my UA-cam journey as I built a small community over on bookstagram 🥰
Thank you! I will check out your channel as a fellow bookstagrammer :)
Welcome to booktube 📚☕

So excited!! I’m glad to have someone with the same taste in books! Here almost everyone is either romance, fantasy or mystery/horror.
I love that! And I agree, not as many people share their thoughts on contemporary lit which is some of my faves 💖
Welcome to BookTube. Yeah, who doesn't like a strong female character? I recently read Eighty Days by Matthew Goodman. I can highly recommend it. It's non-fiction about two women who went solo independent from each other around the world and set record speeds that beat Phileas Fogg back in the late 1800s.
Subscribed.
Thank you! & thanks for the recommendation I will definitely check that out 🫶
Great introduction, really nice space for a booktube, very atmospheric. Love your accent. Excited for upcoming episodes 📚💕
Thank you so much marjolijn 💖I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊
10/10 for the aesthetics 👌🏼 So happy for you that you’ve made the leap. Good on ya! And the self-deprecating is to be expected when we are vulnerable like this (and relatable), but I hope you also feel proud of yourself ☀️🫶🏼
Thank you so much ☺️ 💖I appreciate you !
Hi Rachel! Nice to discover another UK based UA-camr! I'm a romance writer and I've been on UA-cam for over a year now. Subscribed.x

Loved this! Excited to see what you do next 😊
