I have an unspeakable amount of time in modded Minecraft and I had absolutely no idea that this was a thing lol, thanks for showing me! That said, the crafting calculator mod does this but better imo.
I just realized I repeated myself at the end. I thought I removed that part of the second ending, but I guess not, lol. That's my bad. 😂 I tend to record two intros and endings to pick one I like. Either way, I'm glad to see it's helping you all still. 😁
Awww that's sweet, thank you. You should join the discord and show it off when you're done. 😅 We just kicked off the massive group run I've been organizing so it's about to get wild!
Thanks. I've been wanting this for the entirety of GTNH's existence. Only for them to sneak it in without me noticing. I've had to use control shift a to get it to reliably add recipes that properly update the numbers of subassemblies they require. One thing a little annoying about this amazingly useful feature is that if the recipe can use different equivalent things to make it, so that NEI usually cycles between them, then whatever specific variant is showing when you press {control shift a} is the one put into the recipe it bookmarks. Not the more general one using ore dictionary name that matches any of several different variations. This is a problem for example of something like let's say a piston. If for instance you pressed the key when it had an wrought iron gear showing instead of just iron gear, well that recipe you saved will have in it smallWroughtIronGear instead of smallAnyIronGear. And lets say for example when bookmarking the carpenter's blocks you pressed the key when it said pig iron screws instead of iron screws. Then you added the recipes for small iron gear, iron rod, iron plate, iron bolt and iron screw so you could see how many iron ingots you would need. Then you link it up into a crafting calculator recipe and then say you try and see how many resources you need to make 4 pistons for a steam grinder multiblock. It would say zero iron ingots required because the variant of the recipes you picked used wrought iron and pig iron respectively rather than the correct just iron recipes. Something to watch out for. You can wait till the right version cycles into the crafting table then hold down shift to stop it cycling. You can use a search sometimes to narrow it down. I dont know if you can use regular expressions or the # character in the search available on recipes, but if you can either can narrow it down. But then maybe you get screwed with all the weird different sorts of fences and it won't give you the correct number of oak logs it takes. The piston is a trivial example, it can get much worse with more complicated recipes.
Yeah, I was hoping it would remove them, but it doesn't. You can remove each part as you craft them, though. Just press A on the further to the left or right depending on how you sort them. That will delete its whole line at once. Otherwise, I haven't found a way for it to recognize the crafts yet. I'll keep everyone posted if I find out more!
EMI found in newer mod packs also contains this feature it works a little differently but it also works. I do find the EMI one a little more intuitive as it also shows if you can craft some of the required items, non or all and it also remembers what recipe to use for the item for later which you can then switch for all recipes later on makes it really easy
I'm not honestly sure. It should come enabled as it's a built-in feature with the nei from what I understand. I would check the settings button on the bottom left to see if maybe it's something in there. There is an alternative mod you can use called just enough calculations. Otherwise, make sure you aren't trying it on a page with normal bookmarks. That doesn't seem to work half the time. I always start a clean, fresh page for them and haven't had any issues since.
You sometimes got to press control shift a to make this sort of book mark so it will work properly. Also don't forget to link them by dragging down on the left of them and to right click on the resulting linking line to enable the calculation of subassemblies.

Of course! I'm glad I was able to teach you something new. I will have to agree with you on that, but the built in nei one is quite handy.
@@CryptoDuck324 Yeah it's certainly something I'll be trying out!

I'm adding a shrine to you in my world.

I didn't know you could like the recipes with right click. Game changer
Oh my god. I had no idea this helps so much thank you
Of course! I'm glad it's helping new and experienced players out!

Definitely helpful for sure! Although, when I craft the items, the NEI isn't pulling the items away.

Yoooooo thank you so much I didn't know this. Like and subscribed.
@GaeThanos0 I appreciate it! I hope it helps. It sure does help me keep some sanity 😆
@@CryptoDuck324 It surely helped me (and my sanity too). Now I hop into the game and start bookmark like everything xD
damn this is super helpful.
I'm happy to hear it! Yeah, it's saved me a ton of time already 😁
I wish other modpacks would have this too...
@gdmango783 Unfortunately, you only see it on old modpacks that still use NEI rather than JEI. I really wish the jei devs added it 😔

That's sick
This is amazing

Jokes on you I do know how to use it
how do i enable itit wont work?.

those archways are not symmetrical
Just enough calculation is way better tbh
Yeah, but it needs to be added separately to the pack. Most people are too lazy for adding or removing mods 😅
