jason is definitely my favorite character watching him grow more as a person and learn to set aside differences with salim was really dope! cant wait to play the devil in me next!!
also one more thing ! the guy said they are all connected in some way ! if you go back to man of medan and play the very beginning you see jason and salim together but as different people veryyyyy interesting!

@@witchingbrew3 She didn’t cheat on her husband tho. They were broken up. You can be *legally* married (b/c you never sign divorce papers) but still broken up. Ppl irl do it all the time. And they were broken up for an entire year. This is said in the game.

In the end when Jason goes back for Salim it made me so happy. I think out off all the characters that can survive Jason definitely had the most character development

The game is awesome! The actress is so beautiful, so I don’t get why on earth Rachel in the game looks strangely… the only drawback, as for me
i was looking at the thumbnail and i realized they put rachel’s nose super low to her mouth when irl ashley has a cute lil button nose, it looks like they stretched out her face in the game
I think they made adjustments in the 3D model. I don't think they want that, they just have to.
They made Rachel's eyes super close as well, making her face disproportionate
It looks just like her. The model just isn't wearing makeup and wearing her hair up

Honestly this game is really well made. Sometimes Supermassive games can have kinda cringey dialogue (Like in Until Dawn, even though it's supposed to be a lil cheesy, Man of Medan and Little Hope), but this game was written so well. Yes Joey and Merwin have their cringey moments, but the conversation between Jason and Salim as they enter the nest, if you choose the compassion route is honestly soooo beautiful.
LOVED the message in this. They blatantly say it but “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”
But like the way they just work together and the internal conflict characters have with the idea is very interesting
Imo the writing in this game was pretty bad until the very end. The scenes with Salim and Jason were great, but up until that point everything they say sounds like cliche dialogue from a bad war movie, or was just kind of boring. And that was like 4 out of 5 hours of the game. We never really explore why a lot of the characters are the way they are in a way that makes their faults seem sympathetic (only Jason got this treatment, and too far into the game imo) and a lot of the more emotional moments seem forced (aside from Jason and Salim's). The dynamic between most of the characters is forced or unpleasant and thinking back the only dynamic and dialogue I enjoyed or even really remember was Jason and Salim's and maybe Jason and Nicky's. Couldn't care less about Eric and Rachel's marriage, Eric's interactions with Jason and Nicky, or Dar, Clarice and Joey (and Merwin lol).

The dynamic between the 3 in the affair is a good idea, and it builds tension and let’s the player decide where it ends up, BUT the fact that they are stuck underground with demons and they decide that it’s the perfect time to figure out their relationships is BS. No one is gonna take the time to figure that out when there’s plenty else to do.
I read somewhere that Jason and Salim are clearly the main characters because they are the only ones completely focused on getting out. The other characters are just to add some more drama/story to the plot
The twist of the vampires actually being aliens shook me to my core, I loved it so much

I think this is the best Dark pictures game since Until Dawn. The characters wile campy had charisma and solid back stories and the story was interesting with good antagonist. It was nice to avoid the "is all in your head" twist

Salim hands down my favorite character.
Salim got more experience and deal with everything in a grown up responsible way ,he and jason were amazing team
Jason had leadership skills and knew how to handle situations under stressful circumstances whereas Salim was straight up experienced badass, whilst everyone was using a gun my guy straight up impaling vampires and playing javelin.
I feel like this game wasn’t really horror and more so thriller. But I’m totally fine with that since I can’t do much horror. Really enjoyed the game

I'm here because Cartoonz keeps saying how they made her look stųpid in the game. Her eyes in the game look cross eyed and they render her almost emotionless which is sad because she seems to have really liked her experience. They did her dirty, like toonz kept saying. I hope they fix her eyes.

I don't think a company and its devs that respect every people that part of the game will gladly "do them dirty".
They probably need to adjust the 3D model for animations and oof it did not look good. I don't think re capturing was possible at the time.
Expect Until Dawn characters, the rest looks super fake, plastic like. Especially character’s eyes movements, it’s horrible

The fact that they can pull out such good acting in a small room full of greenscreen is amazing.
This is certainly the best so far out of all the series. Thank God the monster is real this time unlike the previous two.

Until dawn was the best for me. There was no awkward movements from the characters and it was genuinely scary. House of ashes has that same awkwardness in the movements of the characters as man of medan and little hope.
@UA-cam are Snowflakes Until Dawn is not part of the Dark Pictures, so it doesn’t count.
I wish there was more behind the scenes stuff 😭😭 I'd love to watch them act out an entire scene just to see how it looks for them before all the magic happens

I appreciate this franchise, but never really cared for any of their characters.
Until Salim. And then, surprisingly, Jason, and their duo. Honestly I felt like I was suddenly watching a different game, they were written brilliantly compared to other characters (no offense). It was finally a story that felt real and engaging, and I fell in love with those two. So happy to see that was most people's response, too!
I love these type of games. The combination of acting and gaming , being able to have the audience(the gamer) participate too. Great!

I had no idea Rachael was played by Ashley Tisdale in the game until after the ending, they made her face so, odd so I didn't recognize her but I didn't have a feeling she looked familiar lol. I hope they can fix it like they did with Rey in SWBF II
Exactly. This interview alone they show she isn't crossed eyes and her eyes actually have movement. Every thing with Rachel is 👁👁 and no emotion whatsoever.

I gotta say this is probably my favourite game of the dark anthology, it was just so well written and so amazingly displayed.
Best so far but room for improvement in the next one. That one I’m really excited for!

I want someone to make a book or a movie on House of Ashes. I fell in love with the game and felt like it was too short.

I love the game but the dialogues, transitions and the characters are not likeable (except Salim and Jason). Also the characters are so emotionless, I hate say it but most of horror games are good at emotions so this is an exception
