Honestly, that calmed me down so much abt fba Snail, i will stick with bean but i think fba might be cool for people to try out!
I’m okay with full body avatars, I’m mad what they did FOR full body. They changed so many things that made rec room worse. They made the grabbing more strict so you cant extendo or double shot, removing double shot also made it insanly difficult to even use the bow. They changed item offsets and they are horrible. The bow was weird to hold, paintball guns were more difficult to aim, etc. fba are cool, but what we sacrificed wasent worth
I hear you. I'm hoping they can patch those things up in the future. Probably a little glitchy now as they're trying to implement everything but I hope they spend time revisiting the grip mechanics in their next update
I dont care about full body avatars, what i care about is that by removing double shot they also remove lots of other thins in the game like extendo and flicking but they also made laser tag harder you can't reload fast and cooking grenades is harder now.

i think rec room needs to evolve backwards a little bit. focus on their original goal a little more. they should make it back into the wholesome, for all ages wii sports of vr. the social club. a school campus where everyone knows each other.

I personally like the full body avatar update, mostly because it's optional. You don't have to use full body if you don't want to.

Not only is this behaviour Just overall a stamp of jack-assery to those around you, it might just drive people you know in this game away from you so please for the love of god, be more inclusive for once.
@@adwm1514sure, but if there's no way to be safe from fba, then people who don't like it are forced to suffer of leave potentially their favorite game because of Rec Room's downhill business decisions. It may not matter to newer players since they can no longer experience what the original game was like, but the ones that have been around for a year or longer may now be leaving because of recent updates, like the removal of weekly challenges, essentially breaking the way items are grabbed, and of course, fba.
Why is every popular person all suddenly commenting? (also dont tell rec room but i like to spawn fullbodyavatars, AND REC ROOM THEY WORK FINE, YOUR JUST HOLDING THEM BACK FROM US!

i used to play recroom, but i have left it alone for a while and when i saw the full bodies, it made me think "wow recroom is just going to become vrchat" and i dont think recroom whats to be the "new" vrchat...

Personally, I say Rec Room has to cater to their vr fan base more. sometimes, I feel like we never get updates that are valuable to us vr users. nothing major, but give vr players something that is for them. the whole menu is a great example. they have been working on it for years, and its mainly for flat screen users. but it just takes away the immersion of clicking a 3d item in vr. (I never play rec room any more so stuff could be better)

The FBA update on its own isn't bad, and this is one of the BEST videos I've seen on the topic.
People are only upset because the lack of the game's perceived quality elsewhere, and years and years of the game just not upholding the quality bar older players were used to.
It is also worth noting that the people who work on stuff like Full Body Avatars have nothing to do with the game's issues elsewhere like still having a broken weeklies system, or the double shot bow being patched (which honestly, I don't have an opinion for), or letting cashgrab creators run rampant and just completely ruining all the work poured into RRS (which is a shame because RRS is the best thing that's ever happened to the game, and nothing is being done to push creators to use it to its full potential).
tldr: Full Body Avatars are being hated as an scapegoat, honestly.

The beans were iconic because they were unique and silly, by making a silly game look more realistic, it becomes very unpleasant to look at. It's like if you gave kirby photorealistic skin
I think you actually do make a great point with full body avatars. although I really cannot agree with the bean bodies looking bad lol. sure rec rooms intention when they first started making the game probably wasn't those avatars but they have built upon those so much to make them look in my opinion, kind of charming to me. I like to consider myself the #1 full body avatar hater but I can say they don't look as bad now. I'm just still personally going to not be wearing them, just doesn't fit me.

It doesnt matter if full body is optional. Over the last 2 months they have ruined everything including but not limited to:
holding items, HAND OFFSET STILL HASNT BEEN FIXED IN OVER 20 DAYS',
extendo, people didnt use the accidental feature to only extend their weapons length,
double shooting, fucking 7 year old feature been there from the beginning, iconic in quest history, gone, fixee even after being stated it will forever stay,
All of these absolute mistakes for full body avatars..... before they even came out.

Honestly the way I see the full body avatars in vr games as a whole is that depending on how the game is advertised and how the characters are portrayed to look like determines what people will think of it. For example stride multiplayer, in the first few months it had bean bodies that looked fine but later added legs and arms and the reason why people were ok with it is bc the official art of that game has humans WITH legs and arms. While with rec room people see the bean bodies and think that thats just how the game is stylized and thats what makes the game so iconic but when you add legs and arms to the mix it makes it look unnatural. If I were a dev at rec room I would simply just remove the shine of the eyes and then it would look better since the rec room eyes are usually just a black dot. Don't get me wrong I still hate the full body avatars in rec room but I do think that they can change it to fit the iconic style rec room has.

Honestly everyone makes a fuss about it when it’s just an option so it’s not permanent full body also even if they add that they would maybe add a feature that turns every one into the selected body type

2 months ago i did a poll about fba abd everyone hated it, but i made another one and it was overall positive, so people dont hate them AS much now i guess
full body avatars are the best you could even have, imagine flashing that sweet sweet clothing items ya have with more detail than before, imagine being able to develop maps with full body avatars in mind, imagine the capabilities with FBT once thats ready

Full body looks way better than those goofy floating eggs with no neck. The game also looks more appealing and fun that way and seems more like a finished polished game

Yep the money process is a bit out of context with rec room. Like the token earnings are low but the prices are WAY WAY WAY high… I even wrote a review about it to them. Oh yeah I don’t remember the weekly challenges being deleted because that’s when I took a like 2 year break of the game😅😅😢. Why delete weekly challenges I ❤ THEM.
