For everyone who is curious, the stamps are used for things like signatures. They use those stamps instead of signatures at banks and stuff. They're also used in Japan.
Thank you xD I was going to ask her what they were for. That's such a great idea. No need to try over and over again to get your signature identical to the computer one lol!
I honestly get so excited to see your videos in S. Korea! Your previous videos helped make me more inspired to work hard and make it to Japan (I've gone twice now for study abroad in highschool (2014) and college, and I'm preparing to apply to JET in the very near future), and now you've helped me gain inspiration to continue self studying Korean again and consider job options in South Korea as a possible choice after JET! I hope this all doesn't sound creepy, but you as well as other j-vloggers and k-vloggers really do create nice sparks of inspiration that help me stay motivated in the long run!
Hi!! Just wanted to let you know that there's an amazing vegan restaurant in Insadong. It's called 산천. The owner is a former monk and the dishes you get are like a... whole entire menu of cool herbs and amazing vegetable combinations because back when he was a monk they would have to get the herbs themselves from the forests and stuff. That's what we were told. Super cool experience and amazing atmosphere in there. I super duper recommend it and can let you know the exact address if you need it!!! Please like so she can see! 😘
Each day I watch Sharlas vlogmas it gets me excited cuz I remember why she’s in korea x3 one day I shall be there as well.... maybe not but oh well haha
This was such a nice vlog, so interesting to watch, I don't think I'm going to miss the Japan vlogs if this is the kind of content you are going to make moving forward.
I am so happy you are doing Vlogmas this year! And watching you guys in Korea makes me very excited because my husband and I are planning on taking a trip to Korea next year ^0^ I am making notes of all the places you visit so we can go there next year lol
The hand-carved hanko are cool! Real impressive how he could invert the words just like that. Never found anything like that when I went to Korea. Now you’re making me want to go back! My family was deciding between Korea and Norway for our year-end vacation and we’ve chosen Norway instead.
Love this Korea vlogs! Unfortunately I can’t travel there because my family then will be afraid because of the “situation” right now so this really makes me so happy! Thanks!
Hi Sharla! I’m loving all the videos you’ve done while visiting South Korea. Moving is going to be such an exciting change for you and your channel. Looking forward to the rest of vlogmas! I currently use an iPhone 6s
I was studying for the JLPT and trying to stay away from UA-cam, but I kept thinking every day, "I'm missing Sharla's vlogmas videos 😭". I always love when you do vlogmas, and I'm excited to go back and see the ones I missed now that the exam is over. Happy to see your Korea vlogs! ^_^
I like Quince tea (mokwa). It is made of a fruit that has a unique fragrant. Omija tea is made of a fruit that suppose to have 5 flavors with intense sour note. The name means 5 different tastes (five -- Oh, taste -- mi). This tea is a traditional one that was popular during Summer in 70s.
I love seeing your life in Korea, its so exciting! I have an iphone 6s btw. Thanks for making such uplifting and entertaining videos. It takes a lot of time and effort on your part, but I always enjoy it and learn a lot!
I love when you show us cool places to visit in Japan and Korea! I'm moving there within the next few years, so it's nice to have a list of cool places to visit while I'm there! And I have an iPhone 6! Happy Holidays!!
Sharla I’m super excited to see your Korean vlogs when you move! It will be so interesting to see somewhere new and follow your journey to learn Korean 😆 I’m a little sad though because my chances of running into you when I go to Tokyo or travel around japan are slim to none now 😭 haha
It’s awesome that you’re doing vlogmas in Korea (or at least starting it in Korea) because I’m applying to study abroad there for 6 months next semester, so it’s helping me get pumped! I’m curious how your apartment hunting is going too, find any potential places yet?
I love your s Korea vlogs, it's so nice to see you explore all of these new places. Moving somewhere new gives you such a lease of life, I love seeing that excitement.
I went to insadong July and it's seriously the most beautiful place in the world omg. The people working in the street food shops are also the sweetest
Sharla! I think its soo adorable that you guys have been toghether for such a long time! And this major life change youre willing to make for him and that he helps you getting to know korea. Must be exciting to finally get married!! Soo happy for you guys really admire you guys! Goodluck :)
I just started viewing your vlogs and I have to say that I am really enjoying them. They are very entertaining and certainly educational. You are very sweet.
So excited for these Seoul vlogs and can’t wait for you to move there- I’m visiting for three weeks next October so look forward to seeing your recommendations 💖 I have an iPhone 6s 😘🇰🇷 xx
doing a catch up on all your vlogs! i enjoy seeing you in a new environment; it’s so different and definitely convenient considering a lot of my interests are in korea so i’m discovering so many new places through you!
Ugh hopefully I can go to Korea this up coming summer and maybe I can meet you! But I don't know if my bf would be up for it. He wants to go visit a bunch of places when I'm there
Hey sharla.i do pottery at my high school and the pots usually take about a day for all the glaze to melt and turn the color you want is super fun to do it but its hard by hand too 😆😅
I was sleeping when you uploaded your new video. What time is is when you upload in Korea? I can’t believe how cold it is in Korea. Come to Dubai the weather is perfect in the winter😍 Sharla how do you feel about vlogging outside? I feel so shy if anyone is looking at me. To me you look shy but also outgoing at the same time 😁
seeing you in korea makes me so happy. i’ve always loved japan but i feel like korea has the most adventures in terms of modern life, yknow. i can’t wait one day for you to go to jeju island!! that’s exciting. there’s this cute teddy bear museum there. before i ever go to korea one day i REALLY need to stop procrastinating and delete like half the photos on my phone bc it’s about to pop ㅜㅅㅜ
I I completely forgot about this video till it popped up on my recommendations. But last year I went to korea and I went to the same cafe you went too and it was the cutest traditional cafe ever. I loved the sweets and the vibe of the place. The staff was so lovely and it felt so peaceful. Definitely recommend!!! Insadong is also such a cool neighbourhood it isnt that well known to visitors but it has loads of different traditional shops so I definitely recommend!!!!
That deep fried mochi looked so good! I adore your stamps! How adorable! I really enjoy all the trips that you take because you take us and we can also see great parts of SK. Thank you for Vlogmas. I know that it can get quite grueling to do these and edit them everyday. You're awesome! PS. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
I went to that tea house when I was in Seoul, but I didn't know what it was called and I would like to go back in case I return to Seoul. Mistery solved! It really is a lovely place.
Hey Sharla! Loving your videos for vlogmas! I just saw your Instagram vid post and I use the iPhone SE. I haven’t had any problems with it so far so I like it pretty well. Best wishes to you!!
Insadong is my favourite area of Seoul too!! I fell in love with it when I went to university in Seoul and when I taught in Busan I'd go back every time I was in Seoul. The best!! Your vlog made me miss Seoul a lot. Especially the 만 won purse stores.
Ah the little stamp cases are adorable!! Also, thanks for sharing the Lingodeer app for learning Korean! I'm progressing faster (albeit I'm still super slow at learning) than I have before!
I loved this vlogmas episode you could say? Hahaha, I look forward to future vlogmas videos from you, I hope you two have a lovely Christmas! You almost make me want to start vlogging for Christmas even though I don't have a UA-cam channel! XD Anyway, I saw in your Instagram story about commenting which phone model we had for a little giveaway? By phone model do you mean like, I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 (?). I do by the way, except it's my Mum's old phone so it's not working very well anymore hahaha. I loved seeing how those stamps were made, very interesting and he were really quick! The food you ordered looked so delicious~! I was getting hungry as I watched it XD
I accidentally watched this one twice while doing my homework this week - but it definitely wasn't boring the second time around. I noticed stuff I totally spaced out on! hah!
I use the iPhone 6 :3 That tea looks delicious dude. I loooove when you go to authentic Korean restaurants and they give you the cinnamon tea after your meal. I could drink it all day
I love the grandma in the beginning! 😂 I want to go to Korea so badly 😭 The phone model I am currently using is the Iphone 7plus in rose gold (128gb)! 📱
When I lived in Korea, I always did my souvenir shopping in Insadong. The mother-of-pearl jewelry boxes are extra nice for those people you want to give a fancy gift! It would be a nightmare for me to date a vlogger haha! I hate being in photos and videos😆 how do you enjoy your life while vlogging all the time Sharla? Must be very difficult! I admire your hard work!👏🏻❤️
For everyone who is curious, the stamps are used for things like signatures. They use those stamps instead of signatures at banks and stuff. They're also used in Japan.
teanna jello thanks I was just about to ask about them....
Thanks I was wondering why they were getting the stamps
Thank you! I assumed this, but scrolled the comments to know for sure :).
Though hers says only her first name so she can't use it officially... It needs to say first and last name in either English or hangeul.
Thank you xD I was going to ask her what they were for. That's such a great idea. No need to try over and over again to get your signature identical to the computer one lol!
lol that lady waving in the background was so cute
Linds Tee she was!!!
Linds Tee the best part of the video in my opinion
Linds Tee agreed I was like “aw , *waves like she could see me lol “
When I saw her wave I thought, "Oh, she is so cute!"
And she was matching Sharla! Pink hat and black coat is the look
It's always so fun to hear you speak English to us and Japanese to your husband, and then hear him speak Korean to other people. I love that so much 😃
Anyone else love being a December baby? Vlogmas from your favourite UA-camrs, it's like receiving a little birthday gift.
SaveTheCows I'm a Christmas baby so I feel like it's a great countdown to my birthday!

Can you do a video about how you do your makeup everyday? I'm really curious because it's super cute and I'm not good at makeup at all.
Butterfly Muse I know isn't it? I'm in love with it it's so adorable on her.
This was such a nice vlog, so interesting to watch, I don't think I'm going to miss the Japan vlogs if this is the kind of content you are going to make moving forward.

That stamp is cool! Watching it get etched backwards is cool. As an artist... that is not a huge area I have tried.
I love those stamps, those are so awesome. It would be cool to use instead of signing everything.
I went to that tea house when I was in Seoul, but I didn't know what it was called and I would like to go back in case I return to Seoul. Mistery solved! It really is a lovely place.

Happy Vlogmas day 3🌹
When I lived in Korea, I always did my souvenir shopping in Insadong. The mother-of-pearl jewelry boxes are extra nice for those people you want to give a fancy gift!
Also, how much did the stamps cost? I'm curious to which design you chose in the end! I feel like they're not really that necessary in Korea since you can usually just sign. I don't think you need to register the stamp at the town hall like in Japan.
BTW, My phone model is an Android - Huawei P10 Lite. I prefer LG Android phones, tho. ;)
I love that cafe! 😍 the cold omija tea was my favorite
Lol that ajumma waving in the background 😂😂
I use the phone model iPhone 6s! Love you Sharla, your videos really bring a smile to my face, especially as I have exams now and I’m really stressed. I really appreciate it. Love from the land down under.
