I remember those computers. I had to laugh when you talked about a lack of feedback from the keyboard. Guess you forgot how little feedback that a membrane keyboard had. I actually looked at the Z80 computer but didn't get one and bought the TI99/4A instead. I also laughed at the comment of the RF switch being common. I actually had 3 of them installed on the TV at one point. I had colored tape on each one so I knew which one was for which component it was attached to. Looking forward to the build and if it will actually work at the end of it.
Hey Curt! I had a TI-99/4A also... and an Atari 2600 and eventually a Nintendo... all had similar boxes. I'm waiting for the end of this build series also. This is going to be fun!
Thanks! I'm honestly not sure why youtube hasn't "discovered it" yet. Its a split off from my ham radio channel: ua-cam.com/users/temporarilyoffline since YT isn't supposed to like multi-topic channels - the ham channel took off after removing the retro content but the retro channel seems to have died.
The most beautiful computer ever made!
I am a big fan!

Also jam in a TSR-1 2450. You can dump the heat sink.
Hard to put together a NOS kit while replacing all the NOS parts... would invalidate the experiment.
That's a rare find, looking forward to the build ;)
I'm a fan of your channel, thanks for stopping by!
@@TemporarilyOfflineRetroTech I just found your channel today I'm enjoying it man ;)

Wow, a linear power supply. Nice
Its a nice brick, not potted at all.
I suggest NOT to build it. Keep it as it is. It is in such a condition that is is probably a very rare find. So save it for the future.
I think its missing some manuals. I've already started building it. Its been a great kit.
@@TemporarilyOfflineRetroTech I understand, must be difficult to resist :-)
It was for sure.
