This song belongs to latest album The Other One but it wasn't part of the 5 singles released prior to the album release, although it becomes one of fans favorite from this album real fast.
The nasty riffs reminds to "Ice Nine Kills - Rainy Day".
Maya in Hindu myth is the representation of illusion (which is the theme in this song), so that might be the reference.

The Western Kami Band playing this live at PIA Arena MM (April 1st) certainly gives some aggressive flavor and with MomoMetal now officially as a new member, just so you know this was performed during Black Night, at the end of this night she was announced as MomoMetal, the night after this (Clear Night) they're wearing the new costume you can see at Mirror Mirror and METALIZM official MV.
They've been rotating this song along with Mirror Mirror and Believing during The Babyklok Tour recently finished.

From this album: "Monochrome" live is really cool. In general: I'm still waiting for you to see "Onedari Daisakusen" from 2021 (Moa solo). Even if you don't do a reaction to it, be sure to watch it for yourself. It's one of my favorites.

There are some great Live performances off their new album along with Live performances of some classic BabyMetal songs from this Blu-ray collection taken from their 2 night sold out concerts from PIA Arena in Yokohama Japan, April 1 and 2 (classics such as Karate and Doki Doki Morning their very first ever song )
Yeah, I don't think that any of their choreographies are remotely easy. They are just ridiculously good at what they do and make it look easy.
What's happening in the latest choreography I believe they are becoming less physical (less demanding, less running, less jumping) and more technical!
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 This song was played 9 times during their North American tour with DETHKLOK. The performance in USA is different from this video filmed on Day-1 (April 1) in Yokohama when the performance was done right before the dawn of newly born BABYMETAL. Momometal was not official member yet and she did not have a mic back then.
[FYI : I witnessed this very performed live with West (American) Kami Band at the venue. Japanese fans always appreciate the devoted support by Chris, CJ, Anthony and Clint (Ryan replaced now). I can't explain how amazing it was with my English vocabulary. 😍]
Regarding "Maya", Su said in an interview "The lyrics in English 'How would you know ... is all an illusion' is not the kind of expression that BABYMETAL have not had in the past."
