The New York Times' Sticky, Spicy Tempeh Recipe... Is Good?

  • Sometimes NYT Cooking recipes need a little help, sometimes they're great. Today we're trying the Sticky, Spicy Tempeh recipe by Ali Slagle for the first time to see how it goes. I love cooking tempeh, it's an excellent source of protein for vegetarians (like me), but this preparation is a little different than what I normally do. Who doesn't love trying new things?!

      It’s yummy! It basically just takes on the flavor of whatever sauce you cook it in, but I guess it’s got a hint of nuttiness on its own

    Is this a single serving size or meant for two? The steamed broccoli was a nice color complement. Were the chili flakes and the light brown sugar the only other tweaks to this? Sorry you did hangry cooking, but wouldn’t ordering in have taken longer? And it wouldn’t be as good. 😏 Good thing you didn’t feint !

      It's definitely enough for two people, or leftovers. I think I kept it pretty classic aside from the chili flakes and light brown sugar... although I stand by my broth suggestion.
