Hell yeah, why the fuck are you approaching the crew after the captain leaves? To apologize? Talk shit? Threaten? All of it can wait for the boss to get back. Hopefully the wife told him to fuck off.
I remember when I was young (quite a long time ago), after dinner my dad would say "let's take a drive" and my dad, my mon and I would on most days end up heading to the local boat ramp. We had a boat too but my dad just liked to go down and watch everyone load and unload, it was always entertaining. I learned so much about what to do and what not to do. When I grew up and got a boat of my own, my wife would drop me off at the dock and I would go get the truck and trailer while she circled out of the boat ramp, away from all of the other boats. As soon as she saw me backing down the ramp she would be idling into position to drive the boat on the trailer (she was a master at that). Basically I'd just stand at the front of the trailer and she would put the boat in perfect position every time so all I would have to do is hook the front strap. Then I would pull my boat up way away from anyone else, because I did like to spend quite a bit of time wiping it down and cleaning everything and I didn't want to be in anyone else's way. Always worked well, never had a problem, didn't want to ever get involved in any of the boat ramp drama.
I agree. Cat man was kind of a jerk, but you don't pull up and unload and then get your trailer at a busy boat ramp. Drop someone off and go out and hold till your trailer is coming down the ramp. It's common courtesy.
I had a 1930s classic wooden 30ft cabin cruiser kept on the Thames near London, on trips up and down river I'd often hang back at locks. One to save tying up on the waiting mooring and second to let the novices and hire boats get into the lock. This could be entertaining at times. Once I was cut off by a Tupperware boat just as I got to the lock gate, the skipper was told off by the lock keeper. I just gave It don't matter wave, one or two more locks and maty was waiting to get into the lock, when the keeper waved me in, much to his discuss. The think the jungle telegraph had worked, or being as my boat had spent 3 days at Dunkirk in 1940 saving soldiers off the beaches and taking them to ships off shore, may had played a part.

We moved away from south Florida, too, back in 2004 and these videos demonstrate why. While south Florida is beautiful, there are just too many people trying to live there. It is beyond overfull of people. I go back for work contracts every few months, and the first thirty minutes, I'm always like, "Why did we leave this?" and two hours later, I'm like, "Now, I remember."

Your cam person should have shouted out use the courtesy ramp when he was on his way back in, looks like it would be fun trying to get a boat that big in that spot
It looks like that happened to the cat boy before. That's why he took pictures of the other truck. He is a egocentric mama's boy. No wonder he launching all by himself.
I had a situation where I was launching in northern Wisconsin. Single lane ramp with one boat in front of me. He launches while his partner stands on the dock and will not move the boat further down or to the other side while his partner parks trailer in the lot about 300 yds away. I ask, he says I can wait. Ok, I play his game, partner returns, they talk, boat owner gives me "the look" and off they go. Small isolated lake, just the two of us. I finish my day before them. Recover boat and exit. I have wondered why they had two flat trailer tires when I left.
Cat dude is a dbag and Karen. Preps boat halfway down ramp. Takes photos of plates like that will do something. I'm not certain I could have been the bigger person. I'd have let him try to launch or told him to scoop over to the other one.

The guy in the Cat needs to remember that other people on the dock are watching this unfold. He still needs to park his truck. Anybody could be vindictive and damage his truck out of spite while he's on the water. Be nice to people.
It just begs the question... why do some people just have to be jerks? Like you said, they're there to have fun, not start arguments. Catamaran boy seemed like he was just looking for someone to fight with. You gotta wonder what kind of substance abuse issues we're dealing with here? He just proved that he has some serious issues that he needs to deal with.
Haha I love how as cat guy walks closer to the dock his arms seem to go out like he is built. What a goof. Considering he's by himself with a big boat one might assume he can't get a woman because he is overcompensating for a little D!€k.
So interesting how different docks are. We boat on Lake Cumberland and it's done completely different. Usually the wives drop the husbands off on the dock to get the trailer, we back away from the dock, and when we see them back the trailer down we load the boat. It's very rare that you see people tie up because there is only one dock there. But its so fast. I would need a Valium to launch & load on these docks for sure.
This is why i carry a tire stem puller. Take a picture of the Cat guys plates. And after he parks and leaves on the boat, go over and let the air out of all the tires, and pull 2 stems out.
I have lived and boated in S. Florida my whole life. With more and more people moving here and the ever increasing number of boaters, I think it is past due to have law enforcement actively direct traffic at the busier ramps. Officers also need to cite people who prep their boats at the ramp (as opposed to doing it out of the way). It has gotten so bad I rarely get to boat anymore because the weekend is the only time I'm off from work. Thinking of getting a different job, one where I work weekends and off weekdays, lol.
@@marvindebot3264 it says that every asshole around the country with money ends up in S Florida. That’s why so many of us S. Florida natives have moved up to N. Florida. Hopefully we get a few more years up here before it’s ruined.
I’d have reminded the Cat owner that the ramps are first come, first served and he’s up next. If he kept at it, I’d lose my keys until he left. Easy peasy.
I'd say that if you tie to the dock in order to retrieve your truck and trailer, you have the right to be there. Especially if you dont have a crew member able to back the trailer down and you have to do it yourself. Catamaran boy just needed to pull forward and let the guy get his trailer in the water.
Boats are amazingly fun. The videos of these idiots are a small percentage of the boaters. However you can avoid them by choosing the right time to launch and haul out for a particular ramp. Do yourself a favor if you ever do get a boat practice things like backing, docking, launching and haul out when the ramp is not busy, think about what you need and what you (and the crew) need to do before getting to the ramp. When my cousin and I were fishing every weekend we had it down to a routine, each having certain tasks.
My lady and I refuse to let our day getting ruined by boat ramp chaos.. But I think the cat guy would've almost managed to ruin it.. We are pretty relaxed here in Australia but we have our obnoxious idiots as well...
I always always pull up let someone off to get the trailer then MOVE so I dont have the dock tied up then when my trailer gets a spot I come back in load hook pull out go else wheres to unload the boat
just flatten his tires after he parks.. Enjoy your Catamaran sir, I'll be home safely with family, while you're trying to figure out who, when, what, where, and why your tires are slashed and taillights broken to pieces 😀
If you'd have told me in 2004 that in 20 years I'd be watching on my phone high drama on the high seas of 2 guys in a standoff on who has the right of way at a boat ramp, I would have laughed at that silliness. And yet, here we are.😅
Rule should be --- if No One is backing up when you touch the Dock with your Boat -- you have 1st Rights... Cat Guy should have pulled out and let the Boat Guy trailer his Boat.....
It's common if the ramp is busy, you don't stay on it. Drop a guy off to get the truck and trailer and move off the dock so others can launch. Then when your trailer hits the water, you drive onto it.
Owned a boat here in Ohio for 12 years... It amazes me watching the way people launch and unlaunch in Florida..Tying a boat up and blocking a ramp is very disprectful here.. My wife would drop me off, I would go get the truck and trailer back it in. She would pull it on trailer and we were out.

Being an azhole at the ramp is how you get the valve stems cut off your tires after you leave your truck and trailer parked. Having said that I’d never leave my boat parked in a ramp slot if people are waiting to launch.
Why do they not have designated in and out ramps?? We have this in Maryland and it solves most of these issues. At the end of the day, people use all ramps to pull out. I guess it is Florida after all....
Mainly because you can launch at any hour in Florida and have good weather when you get to where you are going. There really isn’t a time where someone isn’t launching a boat in south Florida.
@@johnk3606 well, yes, there IS time when a boat isn't being launched. When other boats are in the way. A free for all system is going to cause arguments.
Dock it at the courtesy dock, then get your truck and trailer at an available ramp, and finally move your boat from the courtesy dock to the ramp where your truck and trailer is ready for it. This way you’re not blocking a ramp while you’re retrieving your truck and trailer
@@kaseyc5078 but you're blocking a ramp with your truck while you go get your boat...so a ramp is still being occupied. At the end of the day the Cat just had to wait his turn in line.
Hear me out... You come back from boating, pull up to the courtesy dock, get out, walk to get your truck, and drive it back to the ramp, back down, and load up. To launch a boat, you get to the marina, prep your boat in the parking lot, THEN go to the ramp, back down, launch the boat, pull the boat to the courtesy dock (or better yet, have someone you're with do that while you go to the truck), now drive your truck up the ramp and to the parking area, then walk back to your boat. By the time you get back from parking your truck, another boat probably had time to launch. If you hadn't moved your boat to the courtesy dock, people would have to wait for you to move your truck out of the way AND walk back AND THEN move your boat. Make sense?

The guy in the Cat needs to remember that other people on the dock are watching this unfold. He still needs to park his truck. Anybody could be vindictive and damage his truck out of spite while he's on the water. Be nice to people.
Right it's like be nice to staff at places where you eat you don't know what they can do to your food
20 years ago, absolutely…nowadays, everyone always thinks they’re on camera (and they’re probably right).
Catamaran Ford's tires would be mysteriously flat when he came back.
Fore thought is not a strong point of the asshole.
They should have pulled the drain plugs off the cat as a thank you for the courtesy
They were abused as children.
I wonder if the "Cat" guy would be surprised to find all of his tire valve stems cut, when he returns :)

In Galveston, Texas area I don't see people tie off either. We do it like you are saying.
This is how I've always seen it done as well.
This is why i carry a tire stem puller. Take a picture of the Cat guys plates. And after he parks and leaves on the boat, go over and let the air out of all the tires, and pull 2 stems out.
If I was the guy behind the cat I'd probably sit down with a cold one and ignore him 'till he moved.
The guy in the cat is jerk! He was preping his boat on the ramp. Wow that's the drain plug you want!
Thinking of getting a different job, one where I work weekends and off weekdays, lol.
cops are needed to cite offenders and this bullying will stop
How sad that yo guys live somewhere that a boat launching facility needs LEOs on duty. Seriously, what does this say?
If the city needs to spend money for law enforcement at the ramps, they are likely just to close the ramps instead.
Watching some of these videos makes me glad that I'm no longer a boater. I don't have the patience today that I used to have.
I love MBR's commentary and watching the chaos, but it is turning me against ever wanting to own a boat. It seems like a big hassle.
@@3Hose I own a boat but if I had to go through this I would be selling it
That's why you get a slip and leave it at the marina. :)
@@taz997 can’t imagine how much a slip would be for a 25 foot boat
That's why it's better to have a friend who owns a boat so you can just show up with a 6 pack.
So glad I have my own lake front property. Boat goes in once and out once.
This is proof that sometimes violence is an answer!!!!!
The guy in the Cat is acting like a "Richard". Good on the guy in the center console for being a bigger man. What is the courtesy ramp?
I agree I would have sat there and smoked a couple of cigarettes and played with my phone before i moved over
The ramp is for unloading and loading . The guy in the cat is in the right.
Sure would be a shame if the Cat's dock lines came off when the guy is parking the truck...
Guy with the cat has the right of way. If you're trailer isn't ready, get out of the way
The guy in the cat, what a joke , the other ramp was open, just move over. Just cooperate with one another and keep the peace.
Hey! My boat's bigger (because I have a little dinger) so you've got to move your little boat! What a Richard Cranium.
Old homeboy on the cat would have got his wig split if I caught him talking to my wife the way he was!!
You can't block the boat launch boating 101
My thoughts are we never get to see you use any of these boat launches 😂😂
What a crazy ramp.
My lady and I refuse to let our day getting ruined by boat ramp chaos.. But I think the cat guy would've almost managed to ruin it.. We are pretty relaxed here in Australia but we have our obnoxious idiots as well...
Real answer is simple, Florida + American mentality: Me, myself and I.
Yep. Nobody on the planet besides ME.
I had a good day on the water. How long do you want to wait before you get out in the water?
if the the "cat"would have prepped his boat in the staging lane like he should have the other guy would have been long gone
He should’ve pulled the other guys drain plug!
Where's the Drain Plug Mafia whe you need them
I always always pull up let someone off to get the trailer then MOVE so I dont have the dock tied up then when my trailer gets a spot I come back in load hook pull out go else wheres to unload the boat
Cat man is formally, informally referred to as "Rickard Cranium" every place he has been by anyone he has ever dealt with.
just flatten his tires after he parks.. Enjoy your Catamaran sir, I'll be home safely with family, while you're trying to figure out who, when, what, where, and why your tires are slashed and taillights broken to pieces 😀
i'd have spun my boat around when switching docks and "accidently" roostered the catamaran, oops, I guess my drive wasn't fully submerged
Then when your trailer hits the water, you drive onto it.
what happens if you are by yourself or the wife isnt able to drive the boat i.e. been drinking.
Most of our ramps here in Australia don't even have jetties/piers/docks, you drop someone on the sand alongside to go get the car.
Boat on dock has right of way, damn rookies i swear.
I used to live by the dude with the catamaran. He is a tool. A few years ago his dogs actually got loose and killed my cat in our backyard, he just walked over got his dogs and left.
Animals like the taste of anti-freeze but it doesn't react too well in the stomach. Just say'in.

Cute little boats.
At 3:40 the jet skis on the immediate right of the catamaran have gone. Cat owner could have simply have re-aligned and launched at the dock right next door - problem would have been solved. Well done the other guy (in the right imo) for retrieving at the other dock. Cat guy is now a marked man! Maybe someone should show him this footage so he can see what a jerk he is.
Catboy can't back up on his left.
Just like the road. BIGGEST ALWAYS WINS!!!!!
I never have these problems launching my kayak.
You've been lucky.
Not counting the times I tip over...
Our state park run launch has signs that say "Launch on the Right - Retrieve on the Left" With arrows showing R/L Sides. It is also a fee to launch and park.
No chance I would have moved. Would have been a while before my boat was able to crank.
BG is the greatest announcer of all time, hire this guy!!! 👍
Having been thru Fla on the Loop and after watching this (and other) channel(s), I have a very low opinion of Fla boaters. I do indeed recognize that this channel highlights the problem people, but from my experience, this kind of thing is not that unusual. Someone with more experience please tell me if I am wrong.
It’s called Flori-Duh for a reason!
Guy in the Cat is upset that his boyfriend didn't show up.
Pardon my ignorance, but what is a courtesy ramp and how does it differ from the other docks/ramps?
Make sense?
@@52Ford Good explanation. If Mr cat did that on his return, he might have a good point.
Couldn’t be me I would have looked at him crazy and told him sorry boat won’t start 😂
It takes the boating experience to a low level. That guy has no idea what boater courtesy is. Kuddos to the guy with the his natural hair color (blue shorts). LOL
He’s got a big beautiful boat and no one to enjoy it with, it speaks volumes about who’s wrong here
This is why we have specific launch and retrieve lanes here in Australia
We do?
Gee looks like fun. Glad I don’t have a boat in south Florida. I wouldn’t have moved if I were the blue short guy
