Absolutely. I have no delusions about this team winning a championship. It’s just so hard to do in the NBA without a top 5 player (last year an exception), but I just want to be entertained.
Kevin is always awesome! Never got to meet him, but man his vulnerability the last couple years is nothing to scoff at and shows a ton of character. Love it
Fox is gona stay! He just wants to win… the last game against rockets just showed how this team has for Fox help. Fox didn’t have to do everything like before, he just played some defense and played team basketball. It’s not always about the numbers, Fox is learning to trust his teammates under Doug Christie
It’s Keegan if he can shot 36-39% after being 27-28% from 3 we will win a handful of extra games… Keon playing 20-25 minutes a game will come naturally… Sabonis just continue what he is doing
The Kings are now in the situation expected at the beginning of the season. They’re better than last year, but they still need forward help. The balance between DeRozan/Fox is starting to happen, Keegan is starting to shoot better, guard situation finding their roles, but they still need frontcourt help.
Well it's not that Keon Ellis necessarily "earned" a starting spot, it's that Huerter and Monk were both hurt in the 2nd half of the season, so Mike Brown didn't have much of a choice. He was NEVER going to play Ellis otherwise. And it's odd to me that a proclaimed "defensive coach" consistently REFUSED to play the few players that actually excelled at playing defense.
PG - Monk, Carter SG - Demar, Ellis SF - Keegan, (blank) PF - (blank), Lyles C - Domas Kings should trade Fox to get a dominant starting 4. Move Demar to the 2, move Keegan to the 3.
@@1970roninI love D’aaron but he’s not top 10 and that’s the problem particularly with his upcoming extension. He would be really close to top 10 if he were a 38-40% 3 pt shooter but at this point I don’t think it’s happening. I understand the love for Fox but he’s not going to be a King his entire career no matter what. Even if he signs the extension we’re not going to be able to go far enough and he will want out to chase a title post 30 years old. It will end like Dame Lillard, Russell Westbrook, James Harden etc… FYI it could be great for Fox too and that also cool
Don’t bother telling kings fans they want to keep Fox until he leaves for nothing and then there wondering what happen just like they didn’t want to trade Keegan and now all of a sudden they do , kings fans are bottom tier
The primary difference is that they are winning close games now. They seemed to be tightening up too much at the end of the Brown era. I don't think this is about Brown being a bad coach or the team tuning him out. They are doing what Brown implemented better now. Brown designed and built this team and I think he just pushed harder work and more focus on correcting mistakes and it became too heavy. Sometimes getting out of a slump is not about working harder, it's about thinking less and "loosening up". I think it would've been great if Brown could've just taken a 10-day vacation, then come back with the new perspective that Christie has brought.
Nice to hear a different voice, funny but I think that is the big difference. Coach Brown seems to be a bit of an old schooler in the sense that grid and grid and if that doesn't fix it grid some more. Maybe that just doesn't work as well as it used to, That was the way I was raised but today's sports are not like that, so the positive vibes and working through mistakes instead of a strive for perfection. I am someone who watched DC play and loved the little things the "dirty work" he always did, and that is the identity I see now in this team, win or loose that's what I will always want to see
It didn't really work for him even 20 years ago either, Cleveland fired him twice, he's been on two teams he was fired that both had two of arguably the top 5 players all time. Kobe specifically got him fired on that lakers team as early as he could the second year. Don't think things repeat themselves for no reason. People like to say he's a two time coach of the year, end of the day Doug's thinking is correct, it's the players and not the coach. Coach has to lead and induce confidence and let elite athletes do what they do best
The next two games should be a winnable games. Wizards and Warriors are coming to town. Doug Christie needs to stick with his line up. I think Ellis and monk should always be in the lineup because they defend better. Fox should be the sixth man.
I was 100% wrong. Completely off. Firing Brown reminded me of....lots of Kings history. Past Sac would now trade Christie for a prospect that would refuse to sign or some damn thing. This mught be different.
Stop beating behind the bush and talk about trading Fox. This whole 42m talks about nothing that we don't already know. Talk about how to make this team better and not be a mediocre and laughing stock of a sports franchise.
Maybe trading fox isn't the best solution? Maybe just maybe not everyone on earth has hopped on some ridiculous hate fox bandwagon like the rest of you fairweather fans.
If Keegan can get a consistent 3 point shot we will win a lot more games
I just want them to make the playoffs again! It's fun to go on that emotional roller-coaster when your team is in a do or die situation.
🙈🙉🙊💯💯💯
Hi
Absolutely. I have no delusions about this team winning a championship. It’s just so hard to do in the NBA without a top 5 player (last year an exception), but I just want to be entertained.
Facts ..
Hell yeah, Kevin on the show is awesome!
Agree. I like him
Matt, I truly enjoyed your guest, Kevin John, on this podcast. The questions that you asked and how he responed I liked. Keep up the good work!
Yeah he’s good
Kevin is always awesome! Never got to meet him, but man his vulnerability the last couple years is nothing to scoff at and shows a ton of character. Love it
It was a pleasure listening to Kevin John. He has great knowledge and worthy opinions about the Kings.
Small market team doing big market thangs. 🤴
Thangs, rhymes with Kangs, and that not a good thing. 😂

I hope so.. because that’s when Kings are at their best/ peak
One of the best turn arounds I’ve ever seen from the Sacramento Kings!
It’s Keegan if he can shot 36-39% after being 27-28% from 3 we will win a handful of extra games… Keon playing 20-25 minutes a game will come naturally… Sabonis just continue what he is doing
Just live up to expectations. Just because you lower the bar doesn’t mean you could step over it and be successful. Let’s go Kings
This guy just oozes enthusiasm.

My eyes and ears have never witnessed two nicer guys on the screen at the same time. 🫡

No
Fox needs to retire a King he is a top ten player in the NBA why do you think that would be easier to win without?

Same people saying that wanted Lonzo Ball instead of Fox. @@SKOOBZTERZ
Kevin taking shots at Philly like we havent been worse the last 15 years
In Mcnair and his crew, fans should remain trust Dougy is about families. GOD blesses good times❤
Monte McNair is horrible lol

huerter, lyles, and carter + pick for kuzma and valanciunes. contracts work on fanspo
We took the Warriors to 7 games in our first playoff appearance in 17 years so this franchise definitely can be dangerous
Sure buddy
No doubt.. I agree

Keva!!!
We need to keep Fox.
💯
We should trade him for an athletic wing and rim protector
If we want to keep fox we have to make the playoffs and win a series.

This team had way too much talent to be 13-19, the regression to the mean was inevitable. Hopefully they can play to their potential down the stretch.

I think 13 more losses this season at most.

FOREAL🤣🤣🤣🤣
What about trading for Cam Johnson so Fox and the boys get the backup in size they need?
5 minutes to get to the point. Start faster. 42 minutes!? I dont have that kind of time dude.
Yet you're on UA-cam....
He needs to take notes from deuce And mo lol
Can Monte McNair make a move a get some help , god he’s horrible
Get rid of Fox
