Wow... that was a SERIOUSLY long note that he held out at the end there! Good gracious! That was so amazing :-) I'm so glad that I found this group... I love their repertoire.
odd, same arrangement we sang only they switched parts around... that was the lead line that Tim was singing with the post... incredible none the less!!!!
A different key as compared to what ? the version you sing in church ? more than likely they pitched it to suit their voices and the range of the tenor ...and the 18 second post at full voice by the tenor is enough for me to say...GREAT !
I hope they never stop doing liturgical music. Don't get me wrong - I like the jazzy be bop Disney material they do but I also like the slower and more reverent religious music too. It is all part of the same barbershop tradition. I hope they never forget to do both.
How about keepsake how deep is the ocean if you're going to say something that's supposed to be cooler. That's tony inbetween a Bb and B because they sharped. Or cruella is a better display from Tim. Or most of the Four Voices songs with Lestor. Anything Kipp Buckner. And no need to consistently VS bash because you have a crush on Tony D
Much bigger fan of Gary Lewis or Patrick Claypool. Obviously Tony was and still is extremely good. Just not my favorite. Plus I figured I would ellaborate on other cool things to watch
This is the kind of video which makes one want to make tim-waurick-facts instead of chuck-norris-facts When Tim Waurick sings, Orpheus comes to listen to him. Tim Waurick never went to any auditions. The roles come to him and beg him to play them. There aren´t any notes too high for Tim Waurick´s range. Tim Waurick´s range is too high for the notes. Tim Waurick doesn´t sing like an angel, angels sing like Tim Waurick. Tim Waurick doesn´t read sheet music, the notes tell him evrything immediately
Last note gives me chills every time.
He held a high F#, full-voice, fff, for like 20 seconds......
AND in tune the whole time!!!!!
simply amazing, guys!
Wow! Wow! Wow! -- now it's time for me to seek out a CD -- thanks guys! Dave :)
22 second post there by Tim Waurick and no doubt he had a bit left too! Just fantastic.

wow. so good! i want to make a barbershop quartet.
I love it when tim and eric switch parts for the post... Very clever. Awesome job as usual for VS

Unison is tough, not a problem here. This never gets old. I enjoy the changes of key and wild chords and blend!! Thank you.
I love this song. I have it on my iPod and listen to it every day, along with the rest of their songs.
with a 22 second post from TIM...HOLY !
Truly heavenly, I agree, that final chord is so tight you can feel it resonate. Amazing!!
So impressive. Awe inspiring.
holy crap, DESTRUCTION of that last chord!!
It sounds like someone turned the volume up on that last chord. Awesome job fellas!
God Bless Vocal Spectrum! Thank you for singing God's praise. Way cool.
I pray someday I'll be able to sing like Chris. (A guy can dream, right?)
Beautiful
Possibly the best open fifth I've ever heard!
It did, actually, at least with my speakers. That note hit the resonant frequency of them. That's always bizarre.
But this group is amazing.
WOW!!

oh my gosh, eric's tone on the last chord is like a frickin.. dragon dinosaur thing.... that rings a lot of overtones......
Holy overtones batman.
Amen. That was ASTOUNDING. How do you even DO that?
the a-men as a post is genius.
Thank you
@jonathan1234911
I noticed this, absolutely amazing.
Eargasm at 2:39
@tigerman4 You talk about the "range of the tenor." You do realize that this band's tenor can hit any note humans can possibly hear, right?
If I ever have a new quartet, it's going to be called "The Frickin' Dragon Dinosaur... Things."
Awesome.
Many questions on the arranger - It is definitely Tom Gentry. I have seen the chart.
Whose arr. is this please? Just beautiful.

I think one of the guys in the original "Riptide" quartet arranged it. Eric King? Rich Lewellyn?
@tigerman4 It might have actually been arranged to suit the Gas House Gang's voices.
Who arranged this, and where can I buy it?
Flat my butt... that's AMAZING!
Not sure there is a better last chord...ever
They are a third apart ...
Sorry, my speakers are dire, it rang like a fifth on my computer.
This is the "Good News Quartet" arrangement ?
Tim Waurick does not listen to Barbershop. Barbershop listens to Tim Waurick.
Tim Waurick is what Willis was talking about.
you're kidding, right?????
