Welcome to the first day of 'Experimental Week'! It's been over 3 months since the last one so I really hope you guys enjoy this week of somewhat different tracks. The beginning of this might not sounds 'experimental' but trust me it gets pretty crazy, especially the second half :D
was this background specifically made for this track?! because it fits it soo dam well at 4:30 the background gets dark and so does the track and i also realized that the character in the background is daydreamers character
I feel as though this song and video tell the story of a friend's death and the girl's journey through grief. You can see the girl throughout the video chasing a light, or her friend's soul. She first goes through a stage of denial, as she asks "Where are you? I need you." Then, as she faces reality, she travels through the darkest time of her life - hence the wretched music and the looming fortress, symbolizing a seemingly unconquerable despair. As she emerges, the horizon begins to show again, and the music is very calm. The last we see of the girl is her sitting in a tree, giving up the chase and finally accepting her loss, her friend's soul remaining with her peacefully forever.
i randomly find this song throught spotify 5 years later and i cant say i was ever more glad to come across a piece like this. Its strangely questionable on a enjoment level, yet it has been my favorite piece for the last few months. Ive been dealing with depressions for a long time and finally starting to climb out of it, and every time i slip, i let this play. This song manages to describe and showcase some of the darkest places in a quite simple and effective way, its merely perfect to me. And i still notice and learn new parts involved in this melody. Its the final key thats helping me put things into perspective, but also display it to close relatives in a way words arent able to. Friends who have known my struggles and supported me for a long time started crying when they heard this, cause its the first time they where able to sink to a deeper level of feeling how im feeling. Thank you both for this, one of the best presents fate ever made me.
Description was the 1st thing I checked, no name there, just links to some galleries of the artist. Didn't find this drawing in the galleries either :x Ya Ra
That transition from the intro build into the bass, back into the intro melody was truly masterful. Thank you for the upload, Sheepy, and the track, Daydreamer!
Here iam. It's been 43 days outta rehab for heroin addiction cause I wanted to numb myself to life. But here iam at the lake by myself. Seeing the sun drift behind the mountains, casting its late brown glow across the waters surface. Hearing the piano rift at the end. Thank you daydreamer*, think iam gonna be a photographer thanks to your music.
I'm happy youtube has been recommending sheepy stuff to me, this channel is how i got my taste for music. Watching it get traction on newer videos or even videos this old is great.
i highly recommand the video "love&theft" if you want to watch some more audio-visual vids!!!This may be one of my fav vides on this platform so enjoy :)!
I always come back to this, I really think it's the hardest drop I've heard, it gives you stank face and tears both in the same time. So crazy intense.
vocal sample at 3:16 Sometimes Sometimes I wanna relive those nights again I wanna see it all again I wanna talk to you and I wanna cry again I haven't been able to in so long Where are you I need you
Oh my god thank you. I know this song from Spotify and I was searching the lyrics everywhere. Couldn't understand the "cry again" I always hear "craakin'" or something..
I can feel it, the raw emotion. Sorrow clouded by anger, by frustration, by fear. Letting go to what we once took for granted is sometimes harder than saying goodbye itself.
I didn't realize this was uploaded on my birthday, holy brownies. This was so beautiful and so badass at the same time. I kind don't want to listen to it over and over again because I normally would, but I think i will listen to this every once in a while to keep that feeling alive when I first listened to it for as long as possible, thank you Sheepy for uploading this.
This song man, it reminds me a bit of The Legend of Zelda, anyone else feel that? And all the while the glorious image provided reminds me of Ratchet and Clank. Seeing that this is "Experimental Week", this one is likely to be quite the hit with the community here. The song itself feels like a transition from home into the mysterious vastness of space, which might not be too far from the truth as the song is about Traveling Light, and it sounds like one hell of a game. It quite honestly feels like the progression of not only a journey but also a story that is ever so mysterious, magical, and emotionally impacting. I have no idea whom Daydreamer is or whom they are, but they have a lot of talent that needs to be heard. It's been a while since I've heard something so powerfully moving.
I, I played sheepy(steam game) and after playing chapter 4 i just remembered this video so came here now... this one is one of my fav still after 7 years huh...
This makes me think about how small is the darkness and how small we are, even if there are some troubles, at the end, the world still moving, and with every new day, we can see how beautiful it is.
Breathtakingly incredible. What a work of art! Such a fantastic blend of seemingly conflicting sounds on their own, yet masterful when edited as such is heard here. Beautiful.
This song is an experience with every listen. The amount of emotion poured into one track shines through and tells a visual story through just sounds. This track is truly amazing in my eyes.
I've written this once before and I would like to do it once again because people on sheepy's channel are all so nice and have a similar taste in music so I wanna share my favourite piece of new music with like-minded people here :) Listen to: Benedict Ammann - The Rules In times like ours, we really need good music to forget all the troubles around the globe :)
I love this so much, it is not just like you are listening to the music, its as if you are on a journey with the character. The artwork and the sound comes beautifully together; this really improved the start of my day
Chilllllls The transition from dream to nightmare and back to dream was absolutely incredible. Definitely one of my favorite songs found on your page Sheepy. Simply amazing.
I know this comment will get lost amongst the 1000 others but I've been in some pressure and really insecure in the last few days. And this song together with this background simply... I dont know how to explain but it brought comfort to my heart and peace to my mind. I love you with all my heart sheepy
My life is passing so quickly... I remember not too long ago i was in school and i had a bad day so i was listening to your music and it made me feel better, i commented and you encouraged me. now its a few years later and i realize that i had it easy and i miss it .-. just reminiscing i guess. thanks for being here sheep, you're pretty great!
I saw 8 minutes, but was only willing to commit 3. Yet I could not click away. This track and its presentation is quite the work of art. I was nothing short of mesmerized through the entire experience.
starting at 5:32, if you listen closely to the piano, you can hear the player pressing and releasing the keys, and a bit later the stool squeaks. Incredible piano performance.
4:28 Makes me want to have a seizure, pull my teeth out, break my legs, set myself on fire and stuff like that... Overall, 5/7, setting this as my alarm.
I highly suggest you put on some headphones, click fullscreen and enjoy this amazing audio-visual experience for the next 8 minutes.
Agreed. On round 4 currently

Beautiful song sypnosis. ♡♡♡
Yep, no doubt there's some kinda story like this to it :)
Oh and it's a guy not a girl. The Daydreamer character.
+Jason Stephen Ah, ok :) I just assumed it was a girl because of the female voice. It fit the story well.
Holy shit, that's actually a very nice little interpretation
This gave this Song a completely new deeper feel to it. Just wow.
4:26 .... that deep silence.... and then..... BOOM....
PUMP IT UP
yeahhhh....
Listen to fellow feeling, you'll like it
Adrian Gutz I've already heard that and its on my most played playlist, thanks though, & more tracks similar ?
***** nyccc.....
Woah, this song is a journey... and I like how it's over 7 mins long
sometimes a song needs to be longer to take it's audience on a journey. Daydreamer did a great job at that :D
+RazorToothMusic I totally agree :)
+Mr.SunsetBeats always looking out for new music. I'll check it out...
Idk if anyone still listens to this i come here every once in a while since it's release. The experience of piece just unexplainable.
It's been a while since a song has taken me on a journey, what a master piece...
This song will always be one of my favs to come back to
I don't listen to it everyday, not even every months, but i always come back to it even 5 years later, and it always feels as good as the first time
same I always come back every now and then, it really speaks to the soul
7 years, never get tired of this song

I would call it a futuristic Nuclear Plant
+Stepas Marinskas You could find it in the description
Description was the 1st thing I checked, no name there, just links to some galleries of the artist. Didn't find this drawing in the galleries either :x Ya Ra
Stepas Marinskas oh ok
That transition from the intro build into the bass, back into the intro melody was truly masterful. Thank you for the upload, Sheepy, and the track, Daydreamer!
I love this so much. How it goes from being so peaceful to so dark. Incredible.
found this after years and years of trying to look for it, man the nostalgia behind this one ggs

This totally describes how i feel right now,
thanks
This has got to be my favourite upload from you!
Kudos to the artist, Thomas Stoop. Love landscape and vegetation, and everything, really.
I can feel it, the raw emotion. Sorrow clouded by anger, by frustration, by fear. Letting go to what we once took for granted is sometimes harder than saying goodbye itself.
Yes!!!
YES! Another experimental week
+MrSuicideSheep Yeah experimental weeks tend to have music I love. Thanks!
A good start already.
when is the next experimental week ?:)
I swear everyone on this channel is always nice and friendly. Everyone, well done I think this has to be the best community on UA-cam
I didn't realize this was uploaded on my birthday, holy brownies. This was so beautiful and so badass at the same time. the most baffling thing about this is that it's already been 4-5 years, and this thing is still in 1 mil

Yeah it reminds me of zelda too omg
i hear sounds
The Zelda game that comes to mind from the scenery in the first minute for me is Minish Cap.
Well what made me think about Zelda were the tiny balls of light following every people in the picture.
Woah the background is MOVING
Woah ! It's a dog ! With fire eyes !
WOAH!!! Mind blown.
It is'nt new !
ABORT MISSION!!! ABORT!
Ah, I remember the first video Mr. Suicide Sheep uploaded with a moving background, I think it was barely moving too and everyone was trippin' ahaha
I love how well the mood of the picture matches up with the music as it scrolls along
Holy hell. That part after 4:20 catched me midwork when I was not paying attention. I wasn't ready for this. Amazing
still one of my fav songs 6 years later...absolutely certified BOP

No offense, but what is Experiment Week?
Isa R. None taken! It's the time when Sheepy uploads unconventional tracks for a whole week. You never know what to expect. They are pretty great! :)
This makes me think about how small is the darkness and how small we are, even if there are some troubles, at the end, the world still moving, and with every new day, we can see how beautiful it is.
Holly shit I'm not the only one who feels this way about this song.

4:28 I thought that my earphones were broken for a second
i thought the same too, until i got baffled and flipped mine onto the floor when the beat dropped
This is so sick with the visual, awesome. And Damn son the second drop ._.
The beat dropped so hard it bent the fabric of space and time itself.
Seriously, how does an 8 minute long song feel short?! ❤
Breathtakingly incredible. What a work of art! Such a fantastic blend of seemingly conflicting sounds on their own, yet masterful when edited as such is heard here. Beautiful.
This song has massively grown on me, its insanely good!
That picture is....I have no words even omg it's so beautiful...and the words in the middle sound so emotional.
I have done it, I have seen a Sheepy video seconds within it being uploaded
too~ ^-^
oh no I'm late :(
I'm so late....but yay for you! :)
This song is an experience with every listen. The amount of emotion poured into one track shines through and tells a visual story through just sounds. This track is truly amazing in my eyes.

I know this comment will get lost amongst the 1000 others but I've been in some pressure and really insecure in the last few days. And this song together with this background simply... I dont know how to explain but it brought comfort to my heart and peace to my mind. I love you with all my heart sheepy

The final 2 and a half minutes of this is absolutely beautiful
This was the best summer release you had! .......yet. =3
Incredible track, love how it builds to a drop then switches to beautiful piano melodies. Thank you Sheepy for sharing this!
3 weeks and im still listening to this master piece
Still now?
It's so crazy how this channel and the music have changed my life. Thanks sheep!

WHEN I FINALLY GOT IT I FREAKED OUT AT YOUR AWESOMNESS xDD
Come back! You deserve our laughs and smiles xD
You goddamned...... genius. pure, genius. I applaud you sir
Shouldn't it be, "because you don't have to WEIGH"...... Weight? Does the sentence go well with WEIGHT!
This reminds me so much of Worlds. Especially Fellow Feeling. Very Porter Robinson-esque.
That photo was timed so perfectly at 4:28.
Make every week experimental week, your best songs tend to show up there
Actually, nevermind; InspectorDubplate is mostly experimental, just go there :P
Ok WOW....this one caught me completely off guard. It felt like chillstep, but then that bass dropped! Excellent work.
This pic looks like Badland :D
:DD
Ikr!
that game is do difficult I can't play with it
Such a great game
I saw 8 minutes, but was only willing to commit 3. Yet I could not click away. This track and its presentation is quite the work of art. I was nothing short of mesmerized through the entire experience.
Reminds me a lot of Porter Robinson - Fellow Feeling.
Especially at 4:25
These two pieces of art MUST have been conceived together. Can't be any other way, they intertwine way too well.
Ok,i wont say This=Fellow Feelings. But it got some inspiration from Fellow Feelings.(The vocal, melodic build up then glitchy, hard drop)
Ikr
Thank you!
a lot different from fellow feeling, my dude
+underscorehw Totally agree. I did not really enjoy Fellow Feeling, though my mind is stuck to this one.
Daydreamer = Porter Robinsons Brother
I love that Sheepy gives credit to everything used in his videos and where to find them. You the best Sheepy! 😉
beautiful ride.
starting at 5:32, if you listen closely to the piano, you can hear the player pressing and releasing the keys, and a bit later the stool squeaks. Incredible piano performance.
I feel awesome!! this is unbelievable feeling when I am finishing my new track and I think its my best composition!!
I love Daydreamer's work so much. This was absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed listening and viewing the visuals. What a masterpiece.
Fellow Feeling 2.0
i loved this is an experience, but for future listening benefit, i wouldnt mind a version without the heavy part.
While it isn't as peaceful as the rest of the song, it does fit the picture very much and is in its own way unique
+Martjin Bakker I know right ?!
+Martijn Bakker eh not really unique if you've heard Porter Robinson's "Fellow Feeling", Sakuraburst's or Shadient's work
***** yeah gotta say daydreamer is very PR
Love your profile picture of aang
I love only the first part. at 4:20 that be fucked up
Not good enough headphones :>
Wolfcrossy No. I just doesn't like this kind of music.
Yeah... I guess they call it the drop for a reason. =/ (Ya know... cuz they dropped the ball.)
#420
I think it's incredible!
This is one of the most epic songs that the channel has, the changes of the music are so cool.. Good song mr. Sheep :)
Damn this gave me an eargasm... XD
The music puts the life in the castle a story or a feeling in it that is so amazing
porter's fellow feeling??
One thing to say her ... Love it ... 4 years later ... YT at his best
4:28 Makes me want to have a seizure, pull my teeth out, break my legs, set myself on fire and stuff like that...
Overall, 5/7, setting this as my alarm.
The one and only lord Sheepy has given us a gift. We must cherish it for years and years.
Starts off great, then descents into white noise.
Scrolling through the video previews is so visually pleasing because of the parallax, great stuff Sheepy
Sheepy, do u love me? Cz i love you :3
i
MrSuicideSheep Brightest day of my life! Thankyou!
+MrSuicideSheep OMG love this song so much
Dang, Daydreamer bringing some old good EDM as we love it. 8 minutes of awesomeness. And the moving photo.
Are the legends true that Mr sheep replies to early people?
Yeah
Nope
nice try
Truth be told, it's true but you must be on time
I love how the music changes with the image! It's a great idea, simply beautiful.
