When I visited China last two weeks ago, My cell phone did not work in China but I was able to use Chinese Bank ATM for cash. In some places even the machine ticket did not work with cash, the employee was very kind to help me by using her own phone to get the ticket and I paid her with cash, very nice this happened in several places in China. Thank you for very dedicated service.
Hi! I’m a student at Communication University of China majoring in International Journalism. I’m currently conducting a research on foreign tourists’ payment problem in when traveling in China. If you would like to talk more on the topic, please let me know. Thank you a lot for your attention and kindness! :)
I am really impressed by the measures the respective Chinese authorities and business leaders have taken and their responsiveness to foreign tourist's needs. I will be visiting China for the first time in November and am already planning another trip in February 25. The 15 day visa free visit makes it easy.
If you go to the city center of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, you should be able to use a credit card. If you go to Hong Kong, don't be afraid, where credit card payment is very developed.
cash is universal still, but china should understand, make life easy for others , attracting more people. use both cash and digital . anyway, printing companies in china can create more jobs, if you stop printing money, then the company closed down.
Yes, cash can still be used but most foreigners are not aware of counterfeit cash. Most people use digital payments for convenience and avoid counterfeit cash, especially 100 and 50 rmbs.
printing can also be seen as a needless consumption of resources like water and whatever materials that are needed to produce paper money. Not to mention the waste that come from these factories.
Being able to deposit money into an account for a pre-paid service is what I've been waiting for. This makes sense as not everyone has credit cards.
Very Good initiatives..
