I don’t understand why Meiko only gets like 1 song in EVERY Vocaloid concert. Especially since she’s the first Japanese Vocaloid. Her voice is really magnificent. Does she not get any love from Crypton?!
Cause ppl don’t know how to tune her. She’s a VERY hard vocaloid to tune. That’s why you always see miku, Ron and lin. They aren’t as hard to tune as meiko and kaito

I think it's because she's the most "basic" looking vocaloid of all the crypton family and her voice is similar to Rin's voice but less nasal so I think that's another reason she isn't used much

I feel like her voice fits this song so much better than Miku's... I like Miku's version too, but Meiko brings so much more to the song than Miku's rather sweet and pop-y voice.

try Odds & Ends from ryo supercell, their Miku is breathing too. But, thing like this, usually that's just like the artist signature though. take for example, KZlivetune on the other hand, he likes miku voice a bit robotic that's why he always kinda auto-tune miku's voice. But if you compare this one with supercell, obliviously this Meiko's breaths will just looks monotone. Still a pretty good job here I like this Meiko.
Meiko is the first Japanese vocaloid, so i feel like they've had more time to perfect her.

Idk, I've never seen *hate* for her.
But I know that a lot of producers just have a hard time tunning her, and a lot of the time the songs end up really low quality because of that. Of course, then there's times when she is tuned correctly (like this) and she sounds *amazing* .
Edit: not to mention she gets (almost) completely ignored by CRYPTON so she automatically gets less popular.

As much as I love Miku, I felt like her version of this song lacked the emotion necessary to convey the meaning of a song like this. Meiko's version of this song does everything that Miku's doesn't, bringing power and emotion to a song that has a lot of feelings behind it. Meiko's voice is more suited to songs like this, and hope to hear you use Meiko V3 more. Very well done, kyaami, as always. Keep it up! ^^

Meiko's advantage to Miku is that her voice has power and clarity.. Also she breathes... Miku's V4 voice bank has also advantage to Meiko... Miku has the smoothness and now has the clarity of her voice, with a little power.. Her new voicebank makes her more "Human" than Meiko but.. Miku doesn't breathe.. lol..Both Vocaloids are great...
Both can, in theory, breathe. However, Miku's breath sound isn't as powerful as Meiko's, which is why it's harder to use. I guess there's someone who'll figure it out eventually ^^
If you want a miku song where miku "breathes" then try ODDS&ENDS. It's not a powerful song, so if that's not your thing, then okay. @Otaku Feevah

Yeah, but it's also no doubt that Crypton has spoiled the heck outta of Miku seeing as she's always been in the face of the company itself and not even the other main 5 are nearly as popular. Though hopefully all of them get equally popular since they all have great ranges and voices, which in that scenario where Miku dominates, I am blown away at how anyone can just love 1 voice and not multiple to even dozens.
