Great performance!! It is so wonderful to see Aimi back in her element on youtube after a long wait - but in the meantime, I know she is performing wonders in Japan and elsewhere. Aimi is a world class artist. This is one of the best performances of the " Black Key Etude" that I have heard. May God bless you Aimi and Patrick Tabet would be quite pleased with your performances.
Nice lightness of touch on keys is demonstrated throughout, even in left hand harmonies. Good shading! Better performance than others sampled. I think the lightness is what impressed me most.

Amazing acoustics on the stage as she enters. I took off my head phones to see if the outside world were knocking on my door, but it was only the delightful Aimi wearing her glass slippers crossing to the piano.
I think Aimi has grown so much in maturity since her last performances. She has a soft touch and in a couple of years she will become a world authority on Chopin. She is now 17? but this "black key" Etude lists in my mind as one of the best. Hope to follow her on UA-cam.

Am I the only one who noticed that she wiped the WHITE KEYS with that cloth? Interesting. Wonder it it was some sort of inside joke. We all know that her artistry is no joke, and she is an amazing pianist. But perhaps she's human as well. I've followed her for years, and she's "got it".
Really great performance, and I'm being nitpicky :P but I think she attacked the right hand a little too vigorously, maybe a more relaxed flowing approach would have been better? I don't know, I always sort of thought of this piece as a river.

There are also white keys in this piece, but the wiping before playing is probably a habit.
Etude contains one "white" note as far as I know.
