It’s a fun exercise! And an inexpensive way to practice keeping texture in spins! The first time I spun with neps I should have worn protective glasses- they all shot up at my face and none of them stayed in the yarn 🥲 We live & we learn! Thank you for enjoying the spin 💖
Randomly came across your channel while clicking on vids while working on my crochet whip. Super interested in the whole spinning hobby, I never can actually see myself doing it but I love seeing the work and passion you put into this craft. I’ve just been watching video after video now haha.
Aw thank you for stopping in! I have to warn you, I said that exact thing about spinning 3 years ago, started listening to spinning podcasts while I crocheted “for fun”… and here we are now 👀 The fiber finds a way in 🧶
That scrap spin is really great! I’ve been saving scraps for… for something? This might be it. I was thinking to cut them itty bitty and try a tweed, but this might just be fun to try. Enjoyed your video. Thanks Brian
Tweed is super in this season! Trish from FiberLoveDiary is spinning some tweed that way right now, I believe a Christmas tweed! Happy to hear you enjoyed 😄
Randomly found your channel while finding something to watch while working on my current wip and I love your vibes sm! Also the lavender jumper you’re wearing is gorgeous! Do you have a pattern for it?
Aw thank you 🥹 I wish I had a pattern, I essentially free handed it years ago and wish I had taken actual notes when I did! And I didn’t wear it for like a year because I thought I “wasn’t good enough” at crochet yet 🥲 the silly things we tell ourselves!! 💜
I wish I had a pattern 😭 I essentially free handed it 3 years ago, and I was so critical of myself I never wore it! Now I wear it and get so many compliments, I should have taken notes!
I try to enjoy it and embrace it! It can be tough sometimes, especially as a trans person, but I never want to look back at this time as time I wasted!
I really like your scrap spin. You’ve inspired me to dig out my scraps and give it a try! I’ve really enjoyed your podcasts!

I love love love your scrap yarn, need to make some of that. I agree, Ashley is amazing, love her batts.
So happy you are a fellow fan of hers! It is such a fun exercise and the best part is the cost… almost free! Just need some time & patience

@@Wooltogold well it’s gorgeous! I hope I get to a point where I can free hand, my perfectionism however can be very limiting lol.
❤❤❤
What is the pattern for the purple sweater you’re wearing? 2:58 it’s GORGEOUS 🤩

Late 20’s/early 30’s and queer is a wonderful place to be, isn’t it?
