Good day everybody, today I will be doing a song titled “Mansion Over the Hilltop” written in 1949 by Ira Stanphill. I was asked by one of the people who viewed the last hymn I sang if I could do this hymn as it reminded him of his mother who used to play “Mansion Over the Hilltop” hymn on her organ. I hope you enjoy this hymn Gerald and the fond memories of your mother playing it. While doing this hymn I was reminded of John 14 verses 1-6 but I will just type the first three verses. “ Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. (2) In my Father’s house there are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.(3) And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am ye may be also.” What a comforting promise that Jesus has made to them that believe on his precious name and have accepted his promise of eternal life through his finished work on the cross of Calvary. Even so come Lord Jesus.
Thank you for the wonderful song, wonderful singing and playing the guitar. Thank you for the blessing. Blessings in Christ. Shawn and Christy
You’re welcome Shawn and Christy, hope you have a wonderful, blessed Thanksgiving.
