Good video but would have been good to see how you placed the bag in the container and pulled it together, as well as stowing tbe pilot chute. But good video apart from that
Great video. I know nothing about packing but I'm thinking about going to an AFF course. I noticed you put a lot of wraps in the video but afterwards said only 2 because of the break lines. Was all the wraps just showing people how it's done?
I belive I saw a V350 on the d-bag so the only question I have, is what size was that safire. Because I'll also have my 350 and Safire 3 189 when it gets back from the rigger.
Nice spot, you are correct. The container is a V350 and the canopy is a Safire 3 169 but we've had a 189 in there before. It is full fitting but more than safe.
I once packed my canopy inside a maize field. I landed outside on an unfamiliar dropzone and what looked like a field of grass from above was actually a maize field. I chose to pack inside the field because I was worried the leaves would damage the canopy (the leaves edges are sharp and can give you cut wounds). Not the easiest pack job I did.
@@flyjyro not at all like packin a sleeping bag, i was just having a bit of fun. mad respect for your skills, hope to learn it one day :) never heard on a camping trip: “hey boys! i just had to pull silver, i had a gnarly sleeping bag-bag lock!” or maybe a diss for spmeone who is nortoriously bad with tents: “bruh, you could get an umbrella to horshoe..”
Really enjoyed the video, though I had to mute it and use close caption to survive the background noise. I hope you guys wear ear protection. It’s probably too time consuming to dub over the entire video to get a clean version. Thanks for this.
Yeah, we've had a few people mention the noise and music is a little distracting on some of our educational videos so we'll make sure to do better for future vids! Hope it was still informative and helpful.
If you're going to make a packing tutorial you shouldn't be skipping steps. You skipped over the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th line stow and then skipped over the container closure. I need to go watch another person's tutorial now to make sure I see the steps you skipped.
Hiya! So we don't show those particular steps as they are dependent on the container manufacturer and vary greatly. For instance, Vector rigs close differently to Javelin, Mirage have different D-bags to Javelin etc. It's best to check their manuals for how they pack. Hope that helps!
My life is on the line and I’m trying to hear this guy and learn how to pack a parachute but i cant cuz theres some unnecessary music playing in the background for no reason. Please remove this and re upload this video brother
@@PhotoSlash Packers will have a lot more experience packing than most skydivers who just pack their own so it's not that crazy. But I personally plan to start packing my own as soon as I learn how, because then I can give more care and attention to each pack because I'm not motivated by speed or money, I'm motivated by a pleasant and safe experience. I can save more money for jump tickets too.
You know you're seeing a skilled packer when he picks a spanking new canopy to make a packing tutorial 😆
If you know it, you know it:)
This is awesome tutorial !
Thanks for sharing 👍
I’ve only jumped tandem, but I love the Sesame St. reference!
That canopy looks and sounds crispy as hell 😅
It was! But our Chris is a rigger so new and crispy doesn't really bother him these days :-)

2:37 oh man that's a great angle. I am on AFF #3 jump and looking ahead to packing and THIS video is helping further my skydiving experience! Thanks!!
Great to hear!
Looking forward to receiving my new Safire III at the end of the month and being able to follow the packing video, thank for the upload.
New canopy is the best for learning how to pack 😁
Totally! Hahaha
Does that guy have to be using a drill while your are making a video 😂 great video though! Beautiful work. Very thorough
"hey I'm just making a quick packing video could you not sow anything for 20 mins?"... "No."
Our ladies stop for no one! :-D
Didn't see anyone sow. Did see someone sew.
Your video was very helpfull. Thanks alot
Thank you for posting!
Our pleasure!

Recommend me more of these videos

What's the procedure to join as a packet(rigger)
Imagine getting a chute that was packed on a Friday at the end of the day? I don't think I'd want a chute that was packed on a Monday morning either.
..........meh...meheh...he said reach around....mehe...mehe😮......😊

What happens if you get it wrong? That’s scary
that's why you learn, pratice, verify and stay focus whenever you do it. if you do this there's nothing to worry about ;)
so a lot like packing a sleeping bag back in its cover then..
You're not wrong! Although packing a sleeping bag has a few less impacts on your survival rate ;-)

Can you edit the music out? It's irritating and distracting. Thanks
You're a bit (like more than a year) late for that bud. But I heard crying helps!
Bro i cant hear shit
Instructions unclear.. I’m gonna die

This video is a hoax! It's not that easy... 😅
Hahaha! It's really not a hoax! And trust us when we say, we've all been there learning to pack...
Background music is so fucking annoying !!
Noted and thanks for the feedback. We've had a few people mention it, so we'll be making sure our educational videos have better sound in the future.
How to pack ? Give $7 to a packer 😉😉
Yes. That is also an option! :-D
you guys pay other guys to pack it? that insane, damn im not gonna put my life in other's people hands...
@@PhotoSlash yeah what if they dont like you
