The best Balkan area to spend some time to reset your schengen stay is probably Albania. Safe, cheap and the people are nice. I was there this summer and it was an absolute blast. Can't wait to see your adventures. Love your content.
Spain campsite get very busy and quickly at this time of the year, we are in the Benidorm area right now and the winter long stayers are arriving daily. Find a site now in Spain and try to get a long stay booked so you have a base and this will give you time to think and plan your extended stay before moving into somewhere like Morocco

Hi guys, Cyprus is also not in the Schengen zone, if you want the sun and sea but still be in Europe . Also you will need to check your insurance as a lot of companies only cover you to be out of the uk for 90 days per trip.
Some great caves and mountains in Morocco. Not sure if you are outdoor types but there is a whole load of interesting stuff to go at. Probably a load of roads you'll not get that massive van down though.
we had the same thought, been in France for almost 90 days now and the plan was going to be to drive to Montenegro for 3 months. you have 90 days in a 180 day period starting the day you first enter the EU. We applied for a 12 month visa and was denied although we had proof of finances and family with the house over here. Going forward we would now get the Spanish digital nomad visa if we did it again. Also if you're going through down to the south of France the Newhaven to Dieppe ferry would save driving time and remember Gibraltar In the south of Spain is British territory so you'd be out of the Schengen zone without having to really drive anywhere.
Hi there please don't let it put you off as Morocco will be the most amazing place you'll ever visit! There is do much to see and the people are so wonderful. There are so many people doing vanlife trips there. Getting an antibody test to ensure the rabies jab is effective is just to ensure your dog is protected. Yes there are lots of stray dogs and puppies but 99% of them are so friendly and looking for love and food. Our puppyvplayed with them all the time and only on a couple of occasions we had to step in too shoo away ones getting too rough with play. Morocco offers so much and the roads are amazing even through the mountains and villages. Don't miss it! We were there for 3 months but this time we will go fir 5 months - just tell them at customs to get a Visa - my hubby is Moroccan so was easier with language but most people speak English and French too. Campsites are basic and bit tatty but they are cheap, safe and very friendly 😊
It is illegal park overnight or wild camp in Monaco. There is nowhere to park legally overnight, but there is a daytime parking spot for motorhomes just off Avenue des Guelfes in Fontveille (up near the palace). Be aware that you will be fined if you park on the street in Monaco. Also, the winding roads and tunnels of Monaco aren’t very motorhome-friendly and it will probably be much less stressful just to take the train or bus. Most motorhomers visiting Monaco seem to use the Biot Aires and official campsites along the coast towards Nice. In other parts along the Cote d'Azur the police will sometimes move you on- even if there aren’t any signs prohibiting motorhomes. You can argue, if you like, but you will get tired eventually and move along. Again, this happens more in busy summer time in beachside parking, and you should find few problems travelling in the autumn. Although it’s permitted to stay overnight in the Aires at petrol stations, it’s really not advisable at all as there are frequent break-ins, and the facilities are often dirty. Be particularly vigilant near Marseilles, even when just stopping to use the facilities, and avoid overnighting at highway aires where possible.
We had a police escort out of Monaco in Motorhome, don’t go there on Fridays, we parked at an aire in south of France and they stole our kids bikes, France has expensive tolls

We did your route one 2023/2024 and Morocco is fantastic in the winter months in the south and desert areas. We are on your route two now for 2024/2025 but heading to Turkey for the winter. Just to confuse you even more, you need to spend 92 days out of the Schengen to fully reset your time back into Schengen, because your last day and first day back both count. A lot of countries only allow 90 days visa free, so you can run into a problem without a third non Schengen country to use. Gibraltar does not have any places to camp, most people stay at the Marine just outside and walk in, it's on P4N and you will fit in there.
Hi. You can travel on the Eurotunnel with LPG for domestic use, oven, heating, fridge etc, but you have to turn it off when on the train. It’s just cars that run on LPG that are not allowed. I agree with all the other recommendations for watching about Morocco, Roaming Redford, Travelling with kids, The Rucks and True Blue. I look forward to following your adventures

Hi i use newhaven dieppe its a lot cheaper than dover it's 4 hr crossing and takes you further down in france dogs need to stay in the motorhome.spain portsmouth to bilbo is also good but you need to book in advance to get a dog friendly cabin
We drove from Lanarkshire to South of Spain twice in last 12 months and had some great stops although we drive a car and stay in B&B Sitgea near Barcelona is lovely. Avoid tbe motorway around Paris when in France. Le Touquet is lovely. Again in Spain Costa Orihuela is nice and La Zenia is great and all the dogs can get in the shops etc😊 we probably stopped in about 16 different places between here and Torravieca.
Hi, been travelling from EK to SW France for over 25 years now. Best thing I did was to get a tag for the toll booths, no waiting and sometimes depending on availability, no stopping either. You can get this from a company called Emovis (office in Yorkshire) . There's a very small annual fee and you only get billed for the months during which the tag has been used so you're not paying a monthly fee when back in UK. You get emailed an invoice at the end of each month the tag is used and it comes off your bank account by DD four weeks later. If you've ever been stuck in the queues at the tolls before, you'll really appreciate the difference this tag will make. You' can also check the battery level on your tag before you travel, although they do normally last at least three years. Good luck..!
Follow Touring with the Kids. They just returned from 3/12 in Morocco and also have a large vehicle. I’m pretty sure LPG was a challenge, they also had to meet someone in Spain to arrange the Moroccan Visa’s. I’m sure they would talk you through it. 😊
For the dogs, you can find vets in Spain that will issue EU pet passports. The only problem is that most will only give the rabies for 1 year initially, and as the passports can only be updated by EU vets, you would need to be sure to get the next rabies done just before the 1 year runs out somewhere in the EU. The other option is to get a GB animal health certificate to travel back to the uk with. The AHC you leave the UK with is valid for 4 months travel in the EU. To get a certificate to return, you need to visit an official vet in the country you are travelling from. We travelled to Turkey and we had to get 2 certificates from the Turkish state vets, one to get back into the EU and one to get into the UK. If your dogs have not already had their rabies jabs, you need to get this done as soon as possible and if you are planning to travel out of Europe, check in case you need the serology tests- we needed serology certificates to travel into and out of Turkey and these can't be done until 90 days after the rabies jabs. Hi guys. Weve spent best part of 23 years travelling Europe before moving to NZ for 12 years. Now live in Southern Spain. In Vera Almeria free camping available right on the beach. Along that coast loads spots from Mazarron, Cartagena down to Almeria and beyond. Tabernas has the Mini Hollywood sites lots of fun to visit. One with the zoo best. Little Texas camping in Tabernas is great. Lovely host Eric. Nice pool, showers, sangria and snacks. Cartagena is a lovely city. Alicante cool. Mazarron lovely. Croatia is beautiful. Split is cool. Island of Krk stunning. Bulgaria beautiful. Sofia loads to see waterfalls tour beautiful. Sunny beach aquapark. Romania is very beautiful go visit Count Draculas castle our youngest insisted we go our last trip to Europe before NZ. There was a campsite across the bridge from the castle with a pool. Lugano in Southern Switzerland Italian boarder beautiful. On a huge lake very beautiful. City is all steps to old town. Innsbruck Austria beautiful great cable car up the mountain. Germany great for campervan and motorhomes. Berlin is cool. Nurnberg cool. Koln fab. Great camp ground right on the Rhine just outside of Koln. Italy is breath taking. Stunning country. Rome amazing so much to see but expensive. Venice get the boat taxis much cheaper than gondola’s. San Marco Square expensive to eat. Lake Garda some great camp sites. Lake is huge. Happy and safe travels 😊
Definitely look at the roaming radfords. They recommend a place to get your ferry tickets from Gibraltar to Morocco. Touring with kids went earlier this year to Morocco in a converted lorry and used the same guy for their ferry tickets. He is deffo the guy to look for. Unfortunately can’t remember his name.
Gibraltar is a full on EU border. Just like when you enter France. So staying there does not count towards your 90 days but it is an expensive spot. Also beware that even if leave the EU at one minute after midnight or enter one minute to midnight then those count as full days in your 90.
I have watched The Roaming Radfords on You Tube go through Spain and tour Morocco last summer and they show you where to stop and where to stay. Also the Rucks (Rolling Rucks) went to Morocco during a one week holiday last Christmas!

Hi we just started watching your vlogs and love them! We did Europe-Morocco-Europe last Dec to July with our dog and I just wanted to check you are aware of import rules from Morocco back to EU for dogs? You'll need a Rabies Jab by an EU vet entered into an EU pet passport along with a Titre Test result which takes 2-4 weeks to get after 1 month of getting rabies jab. Please double check with a good Vet in the EU so you dont get caught out 😊 Morocco is amazing btw you'll not want to leave! Ifran snowy wonderland to the Sand Dunes of Merzouga ❤

Hi both as a lorry driver that drivers around europe a lot and always on ferries and in different countries if you are going straight to spain I would have a look at shipping out of Portsmouth to Santander as it would be cheaper that using the fuel to drive through France and will save the wear and tear on the truck 😊 If you need any help with Italy aswell including monte blanc tunnel ect let me no! Also tolls is France/italy/spain ect can be EXPENSIVE 😰 Have a look a the natinal roads as will save you a lot of money 👍🏼 if going to Greece you can get a ferry from Italy which will take you across on the stenna line. If going through hungry Serbia border be carefull it took me 20 hours to get through as its going from eu to non eu and when they see english plates they see money signs make sure all paper work is correct fines can be huge! If you need any help just drop me a message ill do my best 😁 all the best guys 👍🏼
I would advise you to speak to travelling with kids on UA-cam. They spend a lot of time in Morocco and the Sahara, they also have a dog, so they will give you lots of advise xx
I went on the ferry to Morocco getting off the ferry Two guards were making advances to my girlfriend so I pretended to fall onto them lol , a transit minibus picked us up and the guards were beating the kids with sticks , a porter took me in the hotel room and out of the corner of my eye I spotted the drinking glass in the bathroom so I legged it found a brochure in the doorway hailed a taxi to another hotel and the guy in charge of the holiday followed me in and told me if I wanted something he would provide my girlfriend peeled their company logos of our clothing, the next day I stepped outside and called a taxi across, £18 for the day , he looked after us but I couldn't wait to return to Spain 😁😎 ps: when traveling just make sure you don't become a tax resident.
Just to let you know and to rule it out, Gibraltar is not an option due to Gibraltar's size and your size of MOHO. Your easiest and safest option out of Europe is Turkey. Bosnia etc are high crime countries so you would need to up your security. Morocco can be a culture shock and is very dirty in my opinion. You will want to factor in toll charges which will be high for your rv, also your mpg / cost given the mileage through France. Consider direct to Spain ferries is Bilbao or Santander which although ferry will cost you more may be a significant saving against fuel/tolls. Bear in mind the huge mileage involved and wear and tear on rv. Try working out your costs down to Dover from Scotland, and thats a short journey!!
I think you should have invested in a newer and more reliable motorhome which would be easier to manage on the European roads. We downsized from an 8 meter motorhome to a 6.5 meter which is far more versatile. If you are looking for space then a large con tiki would have been a good choice. Just my opinion BTW. Enjoy your travels.👍
No Irish granny in the family? The Irish 'granny rule' (grandad as well of course) entitled you to an Irish passport provided they were born anywhere on the island of Ireland. That then gives you visa free access throughout the EU.
Tolls and clean air charges in France in your RV will cost a fortune ! Please do your research on Morocco a lot of areas are not safe for western tourists
To my knowledge it’s 90 days within any 180 day period, meaning the second you hit France your 180/90 days start . So as long as you don’t exceed your 90 days in 180 days it doesn’t matter how you proportion it.
Also Google Camping du Mont St Michel stunning site plus also a nice stop off on way to Spain plus travel all the way down to bordeaux with out touching the motorway then skirt round bordeaux and jump on what us truck drivers call the forest road all the way to the Irun border in the North of Spain
You would need a visa for every EU country you want to go to, there isnt one EU visa. You could get the ferry to northern spain instead, like bilbao or santander, drive round spain and portugal to the south of spain and south of france then go up the coast(la rrochelle side) back to dieppe to new haven. If you are in a camper most of france and all villages have free aires where you can stay a couple of nights.
I would plan to go to the furthest country first then slowly make your way back towards the French border to get back to the UK on your 90th day just to avoid any potential charges if they do checks ect.
you guys have got it wrong,if you spend 60 days getting to Morocco and you spend 90 days there. you can start another 90 days in Spain and France making your way home.
I’d also suggest roaming radfords - and be careful of Africa / Morocco if you use starlink or your internet for working… it might not work…. There’s also videos on going to Brussels re a pet passport - France won’t do it - and once you get the passport in EU you have to return to get the dogs rabies done in 3 years so if you plan on lots of travel it’s worth it. Possibly to late now but my wife is irish, irish passport so no 90day rules for us. Maybe something to consider later if you have any irish or northern irish connections.....
Travelling from Scotland look into Plymouth to Santander. Forget France. You'll save yourself about 750 miles and 2 days Travelling also you'll save on tolls and overnight stays. I'm sure you'll be lucky to get 15 miles to the gallon in that bus. The ferry is overnight and takes 20hours. Wake up in Spain its brilliant.
There's also Portsmouth to Spain but it's a 30hr crossing and because it leaves late at night on the way out its 2 nights onboard. Fine if it's Summer it's a bit of a mini cruise and you can sit outside a lot but in winter it would be a bit boring. There is entertainment on board and you have a cabin. I'd still prefer it to driving through France unless you particularly want to to see France and spend some time there.
When we visit Gibraltar we park in the Marina in La Linea and walk in across the run way into Gibraltar. There is no camper parking and very limited parking in Gibraltar, you might get in at Morrisons for cheap fuel but no overnight.
Can I ask a silly question what will you do for internet when travelling across Europe and Africa if you go there? Does your business not rely on being online?
Maybe this time, just go for the 90 days, stay in Southern Spain, or Portugal. Less stress and more time to see a country. After reading the comments, it would seem you need to do more research.
You've got an RV, go and make your own memories don't go following the other boring UA-camrs, part of the journey is the surprise & not knowing what to expect. Get your AHC from Abbeywell vets in Folkestone, get the dogs rabies jabs first, then, do it all online. Pick the AHC up prior to travel date, cheapest in the country £99, even cheaper for repeats. If you can get Euro pet passports from Spain or France when you're away.
Why not do 2 months in, 2 months out and then another 2 months in. Totally legit. Doing 2 months at a time still equates to 180 days in a 12 month period. If you want a visa best to discus it with a reputable agent. With regards Gibraltar. That would be a no go for you I'm afraid. There's now only two car parks that you can over night in now. One by the light house and the cable-car car park which you would have to vacate every day by 8am. the light house car park are just normal size parking spaces. By day you would have nowhere to park plus the roads are very narrow and busy, you would probably damage you motor home on the stone walls. What ever way you do things, enjoy every moment of every adventure and have the best time ever.
Maybe come back to UK from Santander in spain , the ferry is more expensive than dover calais BUT you'll save on fuel and road tolls , so it will even-out , and you'll gain a week of sunshine
Re pet passports, you need a uk passport, you cannot obtain an eu passport if you are not a resident, so in France for example where I live you need to be french resident, your dog beeds to be microchipped and registered on ICAD and have had its rabies 21 days before travel. To re enter the uk the animal needs to see a vet and have the passport stamped and have flea and worming treatments. A UK dog passport is what you need as the minute a non EU vet signs an EU passport it is invalid and your dogs will be quarantined on arrival back to the UK. Your dogs need rabies at the time of issuing the passport and then wait 21 days before travel, the dates are very important. I strongly suggest you check everything on the governments websites as my understanding of coming from the UK now is that pets need the passport with rabies registered in it, plus the health certificate. You cannot, in any way shape or form get an EU pet passport legally as you are not a resident in an EU country. Brexit, the gift that keeps on giving. I believe the health certificate is £150 per animal plus all the jabs and passport etc, and everytime you want to enter Europe you will need a new one, so if you leave for 3 months you might have to find a government registered vet to give you a new health certificate for entry back in to the EU to get back to the UK. 😢

If you bring pets to marocco is not a problem but you must have rabies vaksin. And you must have blod sampel a too show how mutch rabies vaksin they hav in the blod. This test taks a 2 or 3 weeks after vaksine. If you dont have the paper you kan be stop in border from morocco too Spain. Is the same from tyrkia. Marocco is a Nice country too travel in. But manny loos dogs.

Our van has been converted so that it can run using petrol or LPG so I don’t think we can go in it! Thanks for watching and following along ❤️

Hi i use newhaven dieppe its a lot cheaper than dover it's 4 hr crossing and takes you further down in france dogs need to stay in the motorhome.spain portsmouth to bilbo is also good but you need to book in advance to get a dog friendly cabin

We drove from Lanarkshire to South of Spain twice in last 12 months and had some great stops although we drive a car and stay in B&B Sitgea near Barcelona is lovely. Avoid tbe motorway around Paris when in France. Le Touquet is lovely. Again in Spain Costa Orihuela is nice and La Zenia is great and all the dogs can get in the shops etc😊 we probably stopped in about 16 different places between here and Torravieca.
Hi, been travelling from EK to SW France for over 25 years now. Best thing I did was to get a tag for the toll booths, no waiting and sometimes depending on availability, no stopping either. You can get this from a company called Emovis (office in Yorkshire) . There's a very small annual fee and you only get billed for the months during which the tag has been used so you're not paying a monthly fee when back in UK. You get emailed an invoice at the end of each month the tag is used and it comes off your bank account by DD four weeks later. If you've ever been stuck in the queues at the tolls before, you'll really appreciate the difference this tag will make. You' can also check the battery level on your tag before you travel, although they do normally last at least three years. Good luck..!

Follow Touring with the Kids. They just returned from 3/12 in Morocco and also have a large vehicle. I’m pretty sure LPG was a challenge, they also had to meet someone in Spain to arrange the Moroccan Visa’s. I’m sure they would talk you through it. 😊

For the dogs, you can find vets in Spain that will issue EU pet passports. The only problem is that most will only give the rabies for 1 year initially, and as the passports can only be updated by EU vets, you would need to be sure to get the next rabies done just before the 1 year runs out somewhere in the EU. The other option is to get a GB animal health certificate to travel back to the uk with. The AHC you leave the UK with is valid for 4 months travel in the EU. To get a certificate to return, you need to visit an official vet in the country you are travelling from. We travelled to Turkey and we had to get 2 certificates from the Turkish state vets, one to get back into the EU and one to get into the UK. If your dogs have not already had their rabies jabs, you need to get this done as soon as possible and if you are planning to travel out of Europe, check in case you need the serology tests- we needed serology certificates to travel into and out of Turkey and these can't be done until 90 days after the rabies jabs. Hi guys. Weve spent best part of 23 years travelling Europe before moving to NZ for 12 years. Now live in Southern Spain. In Vera Almeria free camping available right on the beach. Along that coast loads spots from Mazarron, Cartagena down to Almeria and beyond. Tabernas has the Mini Hollywood sites lots of fun to visit. One with the zoo best. Little Texas camping in Tabernas is great. Lovely host Eric. Nice pool, showers, sangria and snacks. Cartagena is a lovely city. Alicante cool. Mazarron lovely. Croatia is beautiful. Split is cool. Island of Krk stunning. Bulgaria beautiful. Sofia loads to see waterfalls tour beautiful. Sunny beach aquapark. Romania is very beautiful go visit Count Draculas castle our youngest insisted we go our last trip to Europe before NZ. There was a campsite across the bridge from the castle with a pool. Lugano in Southern Switzerland Italian boarder beautiful. On a huge lake very beautiful. City is all steps to old town. Innsbruck Austria beautiful great cable car up the mountain. Germany great for campervan and motorhomes. Berlin is cool. Nurnberg cool. Koln fab. Great camp ground right on the Rhine just outside of Koln. Italy is breath taking. Stunning country. Rome amazing so much to see but expensive. Venice get the boat taxis much cheaper than gondola’s. San Marco Square expensive to eat. Lake Garda some great camp sites. Lake is huge. Happy and safe travels 😊
Definitely look at the roaming radfords. They recommend a place to get your ferry tickets from Gibraltar to Morocco. Touring with kids went earlier this year to Morocco in a converted lorry and used the same guy for their ferry tickets. He is deffo the guy to look for. Unfortunately can’t remember his name.
Gibraltar is a full on EU border. Just like when you enter France. So staying there does not count towards your 90 days but it is an expensive spot. Also beware that even if leave the EU at one minute after midnight or enter one minute to midnight then those count as full days in your 90.
Agadir would be in winter with decem temperatures.
I have watched The Roaming Radfords on You Tube go through Spain and tour Morocco last summer and they show you where to stop and where to stay. Also the Rucks (Rolling Rucks) went to Morocco during a one week holiday last Christmas!

We did Europe-Morocco-Europe last Dec to July with our dog and I just wanted to check you are aware of import rules from Morocco back to EU for dogs? You'll need a Rabies Jab by an EU vet entered into an EU pet passport along with a Titre Test result which takes 2-4 weeks to get after 1 month of getting rabies jab. Please double check with a good Vet in the EU so you dont get caught out 😊 Morocco is amazing btw you'll not want to leave! Ifran snowy wonderland to the Sand Dunes of Merzouga ❤

Hi both as a lorry driver that drivers around europe a lot and always on ferries and in different countries if you are going straight to spain I would have a look at shipping out of Portsmouth to Santander as it would be cheaper that using the fuel to drive through France and will save the wear and tear on the truck 😊 If you need any help with Italy aswell including monte blanc tunnel ect let me no! Also tolls is France/italy/spain ect can be EXPENSIVE 😰 Have a look a the natinal roads as will save you a lot of money 👍🏼 if going to Greece you can get a ferry from Italy which will take you across on the stenna line. If going through hungry Serbia border be carefull it took me 20 hours to get through as its going from eu to non eu and when they see english plates they see money signs make sure all paper work is correct fines can be huge! I would advise you to speak to travelling with kids on UA-cam. They spend a lot of time in Morocco and the Sahara, they also have a dog, so they will give you lots of advise xx
Get the best breakdown cover you can considering the sheer weight of your RV.
Check breakdown cover covers transporting your dogs, lots of companies don’t allow dogs in the recovery vehicles
I went on the ferry to Morocco getting off the ferry Two guards were making advances to my girlfriend so I pretended to fall onto them lol , a transit minibus picked us up and the guards were beating the kids with sticks , a porter took me in the hotel room and out of the corner of my eye I spotted the drinking glass in the bathroom so I legged it found a brochure in the doorway hailed a taxi to another hotel and the guy in charge of the holiday followed me in and told me if I wanted something he would provide my girlfriend peeled their company logos of our clothing, the next day I stepped outside and called a taxi across, £18 for the day , he looked after us but I couldn't wait to return to Spain 😁😎 ps: when traveling just make sure you don't become a tax resident.

Just to let you know and to rule it out, Gibraltar is not an option due to Gibraltar's size and your size of MOHO.
Your easiest and safest option out of Europe is Turkey.
Bosnia etc are high crime countries so you would need to up your security.
Morocco can be a culture shock and is very dirty in my opinion.

have you got your safety vest you need 2 of them and your red triangle in case you do break down please be aware some countries don't like you using your sat nav
You will want to factor in toll charges which will be high for your rv, also your mpg / cost given the mileage through France. Consider direct to Spain ferries is Bilbao or Santander which although ferry will cost you more may be a significant saving against fuel/tolls. Bear in mind the huge mileage involved and wear and tear on rv. Try working out your costs down to Dover from Scotland, and thats a short journey!!

I find that sub 60mph, 50 really does give much better mpg, journey time wise - get up earlier and get going to save on fuel.
I think you should have invested in a newer and more reliable motorhome which would be easier to manage on the European roads. We downsized from an 8 meter motorhome to a 6.5 meter which is far more versatile. If you are looking for space then a large con tiki would have been a good choice. Just my opinion BTW. Enjoy your travels.👍
Don’t even attempt to get into Gibraltar with your motorhome it’s tiny there that’s why there is parking right on the harbour on the Spanish side.

IMO the Balkans offer way more for a three month stay, you will also not be disappointed with the weather.
Why don't you just get the ferry from the south of England to northern spain saving days travelling through France and save more schengen days??

No Irish granny in the family? The Irish 'granny rule' (grandad as well of course) entitled you to an Irish passport provided they were born anywhere on the island of Ireland. That then gives you visa free access throughout the EU.

To my knowledge it’s 90 days within any 180 day period, meaning the second you hit France your 180/90 days start . So as long as you don’t exceed your 90 days in 180 days it doesn’t matter how you proportion it.

You would need a visa for every EU country you want to go to, there isnt one EU visa.
You could get the ferry to northern spain instead, like bilbao or santander, drive round spain and portugal to the south of spain and south of france then go up the coast(la rrochelle side) back to dieppe to new haven. If you are in a camper most of france and all villages have free aires where you can stay a couple of nights.
I would plan to go to the furthest country first then slowly make your way back towards the French border to get back to the UK on your 90th day just to avoid any potential charges if they do checks ect.
That’s a good idea, only issue is the weather is better further south for the timings we plan on leaving the uk

days in Spain and France making your way home.
I’d also suggest roaming radfords - and be careful of Africa / Morocco if you use starlink or your internet for working… it might not work….
There’s also videos on going to Brussels re a pet passport - France won’t do it - and once you get the passport in EU you have to return to get the dogs rabies done in 3 years so if you plan on lots of travel it’s worth it. I’ll find the video re this

Why go to Dover to get across the water? You can go from Portsmouth to Caen and save yourself many hours of driving.

Travelling from Scotland look into Plymouth to Santander. Forget France. You'll save yourself about 750 miles and 2 days Travelling also you'll save on tolls and overnight stays. I'm sure you'll be lucky to get 15 miles to the gallon in that bus. The ferry is overnight and takes 20hours. Wake up in Spain its brilliant.

There's also Portsmouth to Spain but it's a 30hr crossing and because it leaves late at night on the way out its 2 nights onboard. Fine if it's Summer it's a bit of a mini cruise and you can sit outside a lot but in winter it would be a bit boring. There is entertainment on board and you have a cabin. I'd still prefer it to driving through France unless you particularly want to to see France and spend some time there.
Gibraltar is out of the Schengen area, maybe that's an option?

When we visit Gibraltar we park in the Marina in La Linea and walk in across the run way into Gibraltar. There is no camper parking and very limited parking in Gibraltar, you might get in at Morrisons for cheap fuel but no overnight.
But i doubt you could park the van there at all really.

You've got an RV, go and make your own memories don't go following the other boring UA-camrs, part of the journey is the surprise & not knowing what to expect.
Get your AHC from Abbeywell vets in Folkestone, get the dogs rabies jabs first, then, do it all online. Pick the AHC up prior to travel date, cheapest in the country £99, even cheaper for repeats. If you can get Euro pet passports from Spain or France when you're away.

Why not do 2 months in, 2 months out and then another 2 months in. Totally legit. Doing 2 months at a time still equates to 180 days in a 12 month period. If you want a visa best to discus it with a reputable agent. With regards Gibraltar. That would be a no go for you I'm afraid. There's now only two car parks that you can over night in now. One by the light house and the cable-car car park which you would have to vacate every day by 8am. the light house car park are just normal size parking spaces. By day you would have nowhere to park plus the roads are very narrow and busy, you would probably damage you motor home on the stone walls. What ever way you do things, enjoy every moment of every adventure and have the best time ever.
The motorhome is way to big, your both Nieve, It's going to end in Tears Big Time.😮😮😮

Maybe come back to UK from Santander in spain , the ferry is more expensive than dover calais BUT you'll save on fuel and road tolls , so it will even-out , and you'll gain a week of sunshine
Re pet passports, you need a uk passport, you cannot obtain an eu passport if you are not a resident, so in France for example where I live you need to be french resident, your dog beeds to be microchipped and registered on ICAD and have had its rabies 21 days before travel. To re enter the uk the animal needs to see a vet and have the passport stamped and have flea and worming treatments. A UK dog passport is what you need as the minute a non EU vet signs an EU passport it is invalid and your dogs will be quarantined on arrival back to the UK.
Your dogs need rabies at the time of issuing the passport and then wait 21 days before travel, the dates are very important.
I strongly suggest you check everything on the governments websites as my understanding of coming from the UK now is that pets need the passport with rabies registered in it, plus the health certificate. You cannot, in any way shape or form get an EU pet passport legally as you are not a resident in an EU country.

I believe the health certificate is £150 per animal plus all the jabs and passport etc, and everytime you want to enter Europe you will need a new one, so if you leave for 3 months you might have to find a government registered vet to give you a new health certificate for entry back in to the EU to get back to the UK. 😢

If you bring pets to marocco is not a problem but you must have rabies vaksin. And you must have blod sampel a too show how mutch rabies vaksin they hav in the blod. This test taks a 2 or 3 weeks after vaksine. If you dont have the paper you kan be stop in border from morocco too Spain. Is the same from tyrkia. Marocco is a Nice country too travel in. But manny loos dogs.
