Could you imagine, what would be the rock history if people like Ritchie Valens did not have died and did have continue with his music? Which destiny would have rock music?
@@ederrocha7758 Actually, it did. It existed before that too. Ramones and the Sex Pistols are two examples of punk from the 70s. Ramones are considered THE first true punk group. Then there's also the Clash, often considered THE pioneers of British punk, especially thanks to their album Combat Rock (an album FROM the 80s). Bad Religion, Misfits (you'd know them from that black shirt with the skeletal smile), and Social Distortion are other well-known punk groups from the 70s. I'm telling you this because all these groups were active in the 80s too.
The pick for the 70s was the best, but I think there are better songs to choose for the 80s than Van Harlem’s Jump; Livin’ On A Prayer, for example. Also, fun fact, Smells Like Teen Spirit was originally written as a satire of classical rock but ended up being one of the most iconic rock songs and recognisable songs ever, full stop. What’s doubly interesting is that depending on which list you look at, Smells Like Teen Spirit is the most recognisable song of all time, whereas other lists put Bohemian Rhapsody as the most recognisable.

90s with Nirvana, long live Punk Rock, this band and masterpiece shall live forever, this band just marked my childhood listening to it when I was only 5, this isn't just music, it's art, masterpiece and a golden memory
Not even the best grunge band lol
❤️🔥80’s❤️🔥
Led Zeppelin and Elvis Presley left the chat.
1970s and 2010s are my favourite easily
Could you imagine, what would be the rock history if people like Ritchie Valens did not have died and did have continue with his music? Which destiny would have rock music?
Richard Steven Valenzuela... talented kid. Until the day the music died.
Kiss/AC DC/rolling stones/guns n rose were iconic too
80' s Hard Rock: good times. 👏👏👏
Nope Van Halen sucks
i was born in 92 iam 31 years old and i love old rock music the doors. rolling stones. led zeppling . guns n roses . nirvana . aerosmith...ex
It changed so much dude like holy crap
2020 is Rock?
No i wouldn't call that particular song rock, but King Gizzard has been making some of the most exciting rock music for the last 10 years
It’s like pop rock
Is like R&B.
Rammstein. They hold up the average😇
@@Nick_ID_1VFXArtist_und_Cutter electronic metal
For Gizzard you literally could've picked the dripping tap, one of the shreddiest songs of the past ever
90s had the best punk songs!!
@@DiSapiens08 Punk didn't even exist in the 80's..
@@ederrocha7758 Misfits?
The pick for the 70s was the best, but I think there are better songs to choose for the 80s than Van Harlem’s Jump; Livin’ On A Prayer, for example. Also, fun fact, Smells Like Teen Spirit was originally written as a satire of classical rock but ended up being one of the most iconic rock songs and recognisable songs ever, full stop. What’s doubly interesting is that depending on which list you look at, Smells Like Teen Spirit is the most recognisable song of all time, whereas other lists put Bohemian Rhapsody as the most recognisable.
Rock and roll ❤
When arctic monkeys came in i stopped singing along till the end of the video☠️
The arctic monkey aren’t that bad the first 2 albums are amazing
@@Polleke0304 okay but they’re indie
Van Halen instead of Led Zep or AC/DC?
Van Halen is the goat!!!
AC/DC is garbage
It's not too big of a deal, all are rock icons loved by many and each and every one of them represents the eras they come from gracefully
AC/DC?
@@KendrickMegaFan should be Sgt meathead
Awesome 🔥
"Only the Sith raise everything to the absolute". 🤘
Obi-Wan Kenobi
The 90s are the best music, I think.
no
No
Geez mans cant even have a opinion without getting jumped on...
I love the 70s 80s and 90s all the same
Yes.
60s and 70s
1970 Queen
1980 Van Halen
1990 Nirvana
2000 Green Day
Controversially, I think Olivia Rodrigo should represent Rock music for the 2020s. "Good 4 U", "Get Him Back", and "Bad Idea, Right?" were all great rock songs and it's from an artist who's on the pop charts which seems to be all the younger generations care about. It brings rock back to that so-so-important part of this Spotify TikTok generation so it's like a mix of both worlds sorta thing, ya know?
*If you can't get behind THAT idea (bad idea, right?!), may I suggest Royal Blood, Maneskin, Ayron Jones, Circa Waves, and The Warning?
EMO people 1950s 😒 EMO people 2000 😎🤟
2000s was the Arctic Monkeys mate. WPSIAMTWIAN and FWN are absolutely bangers
yeah
literally every song of their first 2 albums were bangers
80's were like a step back
no security breach theme
Wdym a step back it was the best era for rock music or just music in general
@@phantom_wolf5274 It was the best era for pop. It wasn’t the best era for rap, prog, metal, or even R&B.
It became more pop, later Grunge came back with the power up to 11 in the 90s. Now we got whatever this is in the 2000s
@@phantom_wolf5274hell no
Best era for Rock is 60s and 70s
80s just 🗑️ compared to previous dacates
Stones still playing same rock for decades, best band.
AMAZING 💓
2010 and 2020? I think that was people in 2010 and upper years call rock 🤣🤣🤣
Now i miss 80s and 90s era.
Gatekeeping rock?
Nah 90s and 70s, not so much 80s
King Gizzard is objectively better than every artist you listen to. Unless you listen to Boris, Ween, or Swans. Then they aren’t.
The noticable drop off...
The last one is not rock, it is sand. 😀
I’m still waiting for led zeppelin
exactly
nothing is better than the 60s
Right!
The 70s were better, like ya sure the Beatles and Jimi were awesome but there were so many more great bands in the 70s: led zeppelin, Queen, van Halen had their first and best album, AC/DC, Boston etc
@@Mr.bottle_episode i respect your opinion but have to disagree… beatles, jimi, the doors, yardbirds, the who, cream, beach boys, byrds, the dead, jefferson airplane, CCR, simon and garfunkel, velvet, monkees, zeppelin and floyd got their start in the 60s.. yes a decent number of these bands made it beyond the 70s but they got their start in the 60s … i love that twangy bright sound of 60s music.. shits stimulating
50s elvis
60s beatles
