Have seen this twice here in DC and twice on Broadway. Going to try to see it in DC one more time before they leave Washington. Gosh, this show is addictive. ❤️👑
Were you allowed to film this? It really frustrates me that Equity is being so stubborn and strict about filming the megasix here in the states when the creative team wants to allow it.
Technically it’s illegal to film the megasix in America. For some reason, the Equity won’t allow it, even though the megasix can be filmed in the UK and Australia.
@@dylansmith1833 It honestly depends on the place. In some smaller places it may just be a rule placed by the theatre. But in most cases, when buying a ticket, you have an agreement with the theatre that you will follow their rules and conditions, which include not recording the show. By filming the show, you are breaking that agreement.
@@redfirefixfox9611 the MegaSix isn’t part of the show. It’s an encore performance that the queens want you to film to share your experience. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Unions need to chill out when it comes to these rules. They are not necessary. I film curtain calls all the time on Broadway and on national tours. Never had a problem except with SIX and Hadestown.
@@dylansmith1833 I definitely agree with what you’re saying, the megasix should be allowed to be recorded. In other productions, Cleves literally says “Get your phones out you’re gonna wanna film this” but they changed it to “I wanna see everybody clap your hands” in America. But that’s something that the Equity has said can’t happen and that’s out of the producers’ control.
They are really underrated I swear and they are really good when I saw them twice in chicago.

@@redfirefixfox9611 I think “illegal” is overstepping it a bit.
