    Easy to forget just how insane these guys are when you only watch them ride against each other. They're all just that much further ahead of us mortals.

      @Speedman There is no way you actually believe that. The only differences between these bikes and production bikes are horsepower, weight and the material used to make the brakes. What differentiates normal riders from the pros is their skill

    Not only do you need years of training to acquire this riding skill you must have absolute trust in your tires' grip and have zero fear of crashing at whatever power level the bike can achieve. I have little to none of the above.

      Redding now 29 has been on two wheels since he was a toddler. He first entered 125cc MotoGP paddocks when he was only 15... Try decades.

    So much skill that goes into this sport quick reaction times high speed slides into the corners fast pass at all times These bikes where made for this and these riders throw them around like it’s nothing. I love this sport nothing else like it.

    Great footage. Learning a few things to try next time I am at the track. 1:17 his butt never hits the seat on straights. He perches his ass where normally the passenger seat is. My guess is so the transition to either side is quicker, and less work on his legs. He can "fall" to either side, vs having to pick up half his weight to either side with his legs.

    The little shake of scotts head into that right hander after overtaking..tells me he wasn't happy about something,his entry or perhaps being held up in the previous few corners,either way he just poured on the gas and went at it.

      From the camera perspective, he basically put it in park for a moment to let that guy have the line, the slower rider probably should have given way but may not have expected someone so much faster than him at that moment.

      I’m thinking that’s just the way the power comes on the BMW…violently. The V4 of the Ducati seems slower and more linear and the Yamaha cross plane jumps with torque off the corners. We know Redding is very fast but is struggling to finish top 5. That instant full power on/off light switch Throttle can’t be good for either the tires or lap times

      It's because the video is in fast forward. Even still, he's being pretty smooth if you listen to it. Just comes on much faster because the video is sped up.

      Nope, just a pro doing their thing. Also, the angle makes it look faster because you can't see straight ahead.

      He left Motogp due having no ride, after Aprilia basically ruined his career.
      Went to BSB and won the championship
      Went WSBK finished 2nd and 3rd the championship with Ducati, now with BMW.
