Old fashioned train car passenger step stools are designed for a good reason . The corners of the feet are past the outside corners of the step to stop / reduce the chance for a tip over.
what’s with spraying it after u have set the piece. You’re supposed to spray the activator on the opposite piece u glue so that when the activator hits the ca glue, boom it’s stuck. Never seen anyone spray it after when the glue is already covered up.
I just do alot of measuring! Take the total width of the side piece minus the width of the support then divide by 2. Measure and mark that distance in from both sides. That should show you exactly where the support needs to be
I can just picture a new do-it-yourself person getting those legs parallel the way you mounted your support piece . You need to come up with another way.
As long as you take the time to measure and mark the exact location and place it carefully, it should work out, it did for me. Of course You can always make a jig or try to balance the legs on end while you do it...lol I'm open to suggestions, there's definatly more than 1 way to skin this particular cat!
i was looking for a first woodworking project to do with my kid, this is a good start, thank you
He idolizes you! You seem like a really good Dad
Thanks I try!

Beautiful stool and a nice job!
I need a step stool for my high bed. Didn’t use to need a stool, but at age 63, I could use a little help. I’m going to try this. Thank you
How did it go?
Great little project. One question: why did you use wood screws for the stretcher and then drywall screws for the top?
@@benbrubaker7896 they're not drywall screws, just black wood screws

Cool 😎
I would love a video on how to find the exact middle. I see all your pencil lines, how do we do that as beginners?
