@1:41 that comparison is insane! I'm so surprised at the bokeh even at a lower F2. It is not that different from the F1.4. Also, distortion is so controlled. Colors, sharpness is on par with the Sony lens. Thanks for the review.
no offense, but did you really check for chromatic aberration ? because on mine there isn't any (a6600 and a5100), even fully open in harsh contrast situations. that's the outstanding feature of this leans, the new coating.
It's all good. I always test for this stuff. The chromatic aberration is not bad at all, but it did pop up in a few high contrast shots when shooting metal objects, but again nothing major. @@olafkliemt1145
¿Could the videos be stabilized in Gyroflow? You say Catalyst does not allow stabilization but if the camera store gyro data then Gyroflow could stabilize the video.

The photos look good! Also surprised at how well the IBIS of the FX30 worked. Much better than that of my a6500.

For a wide angle an AF lens isn't necessary in normal situations. Only when you want a close up or a macro photo.
This lens isn't great for close up photography, but it's great for landscapes.

I'll give it a shot. The last time I tried Gyroflow, it was in the early days and wasn't very good.
