Gooood, so the next video is going to be 5 reasons…. but the other way around 😅. Looking forward because I've got me an A6700, very pleased, and I also bought the Ulanzi cooling fan. Although, didn't need to use it at all, yet. Four straight hours of livestreaming inn4K using Auto Framing, worked flawlessly. 😊
great to hear since I have the a6700!
wow really 4 hours mine overheated in around 30 mins and still under an hour in 1080 and i returned it
@@frostgodx Must be a faulty unit. For the record, my 6700 kind of died just yesterday after an hour through ZOOM for some reason. I turned it off and on again directly, all fine for another 1.5 hour. The camera wasn't warm at all so.. dunno. But I'm happy with mine.
Is the autofocus in 4k120 just as good as in 4k24?
I have better audio options (32bit float) than the FX30 handle, but for compact use purposes, I wonder if it has the connector for Sony's digital microphones?
Which mics are you talking about? I’m pretty sure all Sony’s on camera mic systems will work on any of their cameras
Whats the price in europe?
Hey there, in how much time you recorded and edited this video ? using what camera?
Hello. It's been awhile but probably an hour or two to record the talking to camera, a couple hours to film the b-roll, and a working day to edit.
I filmed the talking to camera with the Sony a7SIII and the Sony 35mm f/1.8 and the b-roll with the a7SIII and a couple different lenses--probably the 35mm f/1.8, the Sony 20mm f/1.8 G, and the Sigma 105mm macro
@PhillipRPeck Thank you, I appreciate your efforts. Excellent video, very well explained and very well cuts and edited. I asked this question because I am a film/drama maker and editor from last 18 years for a state channel and I find your video really well edited, and wanted to know the gear you used and and the time it took. Once again I really appreciate your work.
Good luck 👍
@@Jawadshahh I really appreciate the kind words.
Which one has the better image stabilization?
They feel the same to me. I was going to include a comparison but I couldn’t see that there was any difference
@@PhillipRPeck Thanks! I would like to see a handheld test without walking - just holding the camera steady - with different focal lengths and different framerates. I have found nearly thousends of stabilization tests where they are walking and vlogging. Thats pointless because this is not a vlogging camera.
does fx30 have shuttle angle?
Nope
I think the auto-focus A.I. in the a6700 does appreciably best the FX30, though.
Absolutely. I was going to include that in my, "Yeah, the FX30 Is Mostly Better but the a6700 Autofocus Is Fucking Amazing," follow-up video. Gotta work on the title probably
@@PhillipRPeck Granted, the additions of "insects" and "trains" and...clowns? in the a6700's focus priority settings, are features I never expect to use...
Is the fx 30 just as good at low light like a7siii
NO
Not quite! It’s decent but the second base ISO in Slog 3 is 2500 on the FX30 vs 12800 on the a7SIII. That’s a huge difference
@@PhillipRPeck is that feature (low light) why the a7siii is still 3500 dollars after couple of years?
@@ramblr5900 IDK... I guess Sony still sells enough that they don't need to lower the price
You can always put a T1.05 lens on the FX30 and basically double its low light performance while simultaneously getting a more "full frame" look and excellent depth of field. It may still fall short to something like an FX3 but it definitely closes the gap to where the difference is negligible in certain scenes and nothing that post processing can't fill in.
Remember the lens is more important than the body, and understanding how to light your scene is more important than either the body or lens.
Sure-agree, but...1. I love photography and am now just moving into videography a bit, so I needed a camera that is BOTH. 2. I already bought the sony a6700 :). I agree that if you are JUST into VIDEO then this is a good camera. But MOST of us want some level of flexibility, and the a6700 is simply way better than the fx30 for BOTH.

Duh!
