    Sure, a client may want to provide their own backdrop. If not, we have several solid colored curtains that we provide pro bono. Or they may upgrade to a Premium Backdrop for a fee.

    There’s a program where people log in on iPad and enter name and email ,, goes straight to that email 📧 it’s perfect, but printing it out would be instant gratification,, to go put it in a frame

    Quick question... what if they want 5 hours of printing or 7 added to the "all day plan" I assume it's not going to be $1000? Do you then add what ever your 5 hour package rate plus the 300? Or is it that plus a certain percentage off because they are getting a bundle?

    • @selenas04
      @selenas04 Рік тому

      ‘A la carte’ means they give you all their options separately.
      You could say you only want 3 of the options. Instead of them saying, for example, package A comes with the iPad booth ($100), backdrop ($100), printer ($100), and balloons ($100) for $400, but you already have your own backdrop. So instead of it being $400, he could offer what you actually need for $300.

      The same when you go to a restaurnt to eat. `A la carte´ in a restaurant is that you order your food the way you want it. (it's at the top of the menu when you order). Drew's A la carte is the same. You order your foto booth has you want it for your event.

    Me bugging my man everyday trying to convince him to buy a shell from you 😂😂
    We’re so close to making the plunge.
    He works a normal 7-3 job and I do wedding photography.
    It’s hard to convince him that this will do well!
    But I know it will, 😊 I’ve been doing research nonstop and checking out the competition and there really isn’t much. Any time I google my city and “photobooth” ones from Toronto and surrounding areas come up. My smaller town doesn’t have a big Photobooth business. It could be key for us!’

      Especially since I’ve mentioned to him that MY slow season for wedding photography (Nov, Dec, January) are when schools and businesses are doing Christmas parties.
      It seems like it would be a great fit into my business!!
      Do you have a video showing you hooking up the printer and how to do prints? I would ofcourse do digital option aswell but I know for weddings slot of couples like to save money and have the “entertainment” be photobooth and the “prints” be the souvenir gifts for guests, so it would be awesome to have that aswell :)

      Photo Booth is cheap to run. The main cost is the equipment to start up, including the background. First look at what photo booth program you want to use (I use Darkroom Booth). Look at the computer requirements needed to run it, then you know what computer to buy / or if the one you already have is good enough. Then your printer. Most foto booth programs will take most printers. But make sure it's a Sub Dye Printer and not a home printer using inkjet or laser etc. After that your costs are petrol, your time and re buying the media. That's your costs (and any silly props you want of cause). But buying the right printer is very important. This is because your main cost will be media (media is the paper and ribbon for the prints. Do not use inkjet machines). Buy an event printer. Sub dye printer. I use the DNP RX1 HS. The reason I got this printer was because the media is what I will be buying a lot of. This media, for this printer comes in a box of 2 rolls and 2 ribbons. When the paper runs out. You change both the paper and the ribbon. Each roll can do 1´400 2x6 prints!!!! (I don't change the paper that often) That is 2'800 2x6 prints per box. A box will cost you around $200 depending where you buy from. Now the DNP DS620 media is a bit cheaper to buy. But can only print 800 2x6 print per roll. So for the money per print and the fact that I didn't need to change the paper that often. I went with the RX1HS. And I have had it 8 years now and most people I know use this. dnpphoto.com/en-us/Products/Dye-Sub-Printers. I think Drew (the guy doing this video is using the Hiti printer. I haven't looked too much into this one. But he sells everything so will help you. I live in Sweden, so drew's shop is a little closer! But to answer your question. You just plug the printers USB in to the computer. That's it. Now with my program. I have to turn on the printer before I start the photo booth program. Then I double check the settings to make sure the program has recognised the printer. If you only want to do digital prints. Then you have extra costs and need to open an account with something like Twilio. Again Drew will tell you more about this has I don't offer this yet.@@alexischarest378
