I live a half-hour from Kennebunk/Kennebunkport. The first beach you were at is called Mother's Beach, very busy during the summer. The point is called Lord's Point. As much as I love the Kennebunks, I avoid it during the summer--it's insane!!! Our tides change every 6 hours, but if you think these tides moves fast, you should see how fast further up in Maine! The water only gets to the mid 50's in the height of summer. Glad you enjoyed your visit. I LOVE Maine! It's very, very different from Florida.
Ah all the views are so pretty!!! I’m a sucker for saltwater taffy in tourist towns. Would love to do a lighthouse tour all over New England. So pretty!
Saaaame. Love a good saltwater taffy, and they were so good! There were SO many lighthouses in Maine. You could spend all day every day touring lighthouses!
The place to go for saltwater taffy in Southern Maine (if you do make the trip) is The Goldenrod in York, Maine. I highly recommend the peanut butter, peppermint and molasses peppermint flavors.
I'd LOVE to go to Maine one day. What a cute little town! Love seeing this through your eyes. Oh a medicinal ending! Those are some strangely interesting flavors for taffy. That is a really nice sound on the beach. It is a beautiful lighthouse! All this food is making me hungry! I love that Mike's drink came with a flower. Errrrmuhgrrrdd the food!!
I loved Portland Head Light! I bought a gorgeous tapestry purse there with the lighthouse on it. My mom and I did Maine that trip, my first time in Maine. We did a small tour of New England together that year and planned to travel together once a year, but the next year she fell and broke her hip and was never up to another trip with me. I had just gotten a Chrysler Sebring Convertible (my mid-life crisis car lol) and we loved driving with the top down and seeing the sights. Fun memories, thanks for the reminder!
That beautiful coast definitely reminds me of the Oregon coast. The beautiful rocky coastline, the overcast skies, the cold weather, sounds like an august day in Lincoln City lol. Just less seals and whale watching.
Yes! I want to see the Oregon Coast too. I just love that kind of scenery! They do have seals and whale watching in Maine too, but I think we were a little early for all the wildlife.
It totally gives me European/UK vibes over there. The grey skies and the water and the rocks and pebble beaches. :-p But I can imagine that it must be a nice break for you guys from the heat and the tourist crowds in Florida. It all looks so cozy. BUT don't mind me, I can not wait for our Florida trip :-p 241 days till we flyyyyyyyyyyy :p

We loooooved our trip to Maine. You live in a beautiful state! We'll definitely be back someday!
I get rosie cheeks as well from cocktails hahaha all the food looked so yummy! Beautiful beaches 😍
It's so annoying! LOL. I wish that didn't happen!!

That lighthouse with the rocks all around is absolutely gorgeous!
Absolutely! One of my favorite places that we saw on this trip!

Maine was fantastic! Highly recommend it! Oddly enough - we ended up loving the yellow curry taffy. Who knew?!

One of my favorite spots we visited, for sure! The gift store was sadly not open while we were there. Sounds like it was a great time with your mom!
Hi Liz! Loved seeing the lighthouses! There is just something about the east coast that I love! All the food looked delicious!!
The lighthouses were a highlight of Maine for sure. I loved it!

It definitely felt like some of the vlogs I've watched from England! So I could totally see that. Definitely a nice break for us!
Ugh, Moxie. One of the few drinks that make Kombucha seem tastier.
🤣🤣🤣 okay, this gave me a good chuckle!
How could you not get a lobster roll at the clam shack..it’s what they are known for
Who knew?! Thought for sure they’d be known for their clams! 😂
