It's noticeable that Ponting's got a lot more respect for Maxwell's batting compared to the video they made last year. Maxwell really cemented his legacy as an Aussie great this year.
he's certainly become one of Australia's greats in the last 12 months!
@@kookaburracricket Too bad he never cemented a Test spot. He could have delivered untold brilliance in Tests if he'd made it.
@@oinkooinkagree with you....
Spotted Maxi with the ridgeback stickers on his bat tonight. Looked like his normal bat though
Brings back memories.
I still have and still use an original shape Ridgeback from early 90's with the skinny ridge down the back , still pings of the middle.
He should have had this Ridgeback in his exhausting Double Century in the World Cup like Rick mentions. Make those historic photos stand out!
Yeah, Maxxy’s ok, and I think Punter could bat a little bit too.
Freaks of the sporting world!
Its a beautiful bat. Never ever used Kookaburra equipment, always just gravitated towards Gray-Nicolls my favorite being the Phoenix which Hayden used but had the Dynadrive, Scoop 2000 (which I still have) Optimum, Sabre and Scimitar (which was a disaster) but nowadays I play with a Black Widow which is a beautifully balanced bat made in Cape Town South Africa.
My last bat was a Kookaburra Kahuna. Really nice bat, great middle. Hit the flattest 6 of my playing career with that bat. My all time favorite though, was my old GN Powerspot. It wasn't particularly flash, and I got it cheap at a Xmas sale, but it must have been perfectly balanced for me. Loved that bat. Had a nice Millichamp and Hall as well, that oval shaped handle is really comfortable..
@@darrenjpeters I really liked the Kahuna with the carbon backing. Didnt really see too many in the wild though. The powerspot though was a decent one. I didn't like it though mainly because Mike Atherton used them and I didn't like him at all. Another forgotten GN is the Ultimate, I think David Boon used those. I did have some very nice Hansie Cronje County bats, the Dynablade and the Omega those were great as well and of course I cant forget about my Lara 375, I know it's just a GN Scoop 2000 but it looks so much better than the GN.
@@stevenkeir8103 I never set out that day to buy a bat, was only after a new grip, saw it on sale cheap, picked it up for a couple of swings, and bought it. Every bat I bought after that was the same weight, but none of them quite recaptured the same feel. The Kahuna was really nice though, no carbon sticker on mine either, but probably my second favourite. I actually had a GN Ultimate for a little while, bloody thing broke in half right at the bottom of the splice while playing a forward defensive at training. Didn't go for another one of those.
@@darrenjpeters I had that happen to me with a Gunn & Moore Purist. Paid a fortune for the bat and it lasted three balls and split straight up middle. I have never used a GM again. It really does suck when a bat breaks though
@@stevenkeir8103 Hundred percent. I spent hours breaking that bat in with the cricket ball mallet, and before I even use it in battle, it's firewood. Very disappointing.
Congratulations to Ricky Ponting and Glenn Maxwell on their World Cup win in 2023! Their strategic conversation and leadership undoubtedly played a crucial role in guiding the team to success. A well-deserved victory for two cricketing legends who continue to inspire with their skills and dedication to the game. Cheers to a memorable triumph and the indelible mark they've left on the cricketing world. 🏏🏆 #WorldCupChampions #CricketLegends

Two of the hairiest arms in cricket!!!!
Sir please give me a bat sir please low budget bat please 🙏🙏
The two hairiest arms in cricket!
Can I ask who the cameraperson was? Why can't you use a wide-angle shot for when Punter is holding the bat? Is it just me or is it really annoying to see a close up of him when he's passionately holding the bat. (and picturing how he'd fare now if he were to don this Retro Ridgeback against say Bumrah?) Like how is it not obvious to get the bat in when he's describing the sticker design and the profile? How can you cut it out of the shot? It sort of pissed me off a bit lol
Pleas give me 1kite im poor im realated to Pakistan ( okar 21 GD ) pleas pleas
