Dearest Friends, we all need to thank and support Mr. Persolaise for his fantastic work! ❤️🙌👏👏 He makes it look easy! But wow is it difficult to articulate one’s thoughts about a scent on the spot! Importantly, and after having spent 6 hours basically watching industry infomercials at an event yesterday, we MUST support independent voices like Mr. P who are intelligent, diligent, and honest! Thank YOU for existing and being YOU Mr. Persolaise! ❤️❤️ Our household is grateful!
This was so much fun! What a great idea! Thank you also to the guests who are as interesting as ever and provided me a new longing for perfumes I hadn't heard of before. Please do this again, Mr. P!
What an episode! Watched the recording and loved the live interactions. It really was fantastic to see and hear from the other subscribers. This episode just made my morning. Thank you Persolaise and everyone.
I wore Chanel’s 1932 upon your viewer’s suggestion. Bright and delicious. My spring pick is Atelier’s Cafe Tuberosa - coffee, green tuberose, bergamot… strange combo that just works!
Loved watching the live interaction between Persolaise and followers. Persolaise, you have such a talent for creating community 💖 Love Eau Premiere in warm weather. Wearing Cuire de Chine a lot as well.
Bel Respiro is my choice for a lovely, fresh Spring scent. Like air through an open window and the smell of the damp field combined with grass being cut the first time.
Just watched the playback and this was so much fun both seeing and hearing from your subscribers! I suppose the fragrance I look forward to wearing this spring is the scent of my sunscreen 😂 because it means we’re actually getting sunny weather again! Luckily it is from Nuxe and smells like their dry oil, so orange blossoms and gardenia
A very enjoyable episode and what a knowledgeable bunch of subscribers! I have to agree with the viewer from Helsinki - Le Galion fragrances deserve more attention. My personal favourite from the house is Sang Bleu. Thank you for a wonderful channel.
Welcome back Sir Persolaise, you were sorely missed (hope your vacation was marvelous). My scent of choice this summer in hot desert of El Paso was/is the new Guerlain Nerolia Vetiver. Surprisingly strong & long lasting & very pleasing to the nose. Looking forward to your oncoming shows.
Wow what a brilliant episode Mr. P! And I missed the live streaming of it aaaahhhh 🙈 Cheers to all your participants who so expertly described their suggestions! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻And yessss a Persolaise Perfume Party sounds super! So nice to ‘meet’ your perfumposse this way. 😁 Anyway, had I been present live as well, and with enough courage to join, my spring scent suggestion might have been Divin’Enfant by Etat Libre d’Orange. I think that it was also done by Antoine Lie... A cheeky and uplifting scent to me, with its orange blossom, musk and rose notes. It smells frivolous and naughty I think, and reminds me of springtime having all creatures’ hormones pumped up 🌸😆 Alliage I remember very well as one of my mums scents, love that one very much! Thanx again, and until the next time (live) I hope! 🙏🏻🌸
"Gentle defiance!" I love that description for L'Orpheline. I get so many compliments when I wear it. It also leaves a huge trail. I wore it to work thinking only I would smell it but so many people asked me what I was wearing.
One of my favourites for spring/fall (I live in Australia) is Chanel No.19 Poudre. I still remember when it first came out over a decade ago, I didn't like it (my taste was more 'mainstream' at the time), then Chanel stopped promoting it and I forgot all about it for a decade. Till you came out with your top 10 on green some time ago, I revisited No.19 Poudre realise I love it! Also bought Cristalle EDT blindly (can't find any EDT tester here) after your recommendation (very glad I bought one white I could!). Thank you Mr.P!
Cristalle edt is such a hidden gem! I have tested the edp many times but always find it a bit ‘wet’ (if that makes any sense?), lack of something hard for me to describe. The edt is perfect, it’s less sweet and crispy, exactly how I wished the edp would be. It’s hard to test and buy niche in Australia, so I try to find the best out of what’s available.
What a wholesome and heartwarming episode. Just caught it, I was feeling nervous for you so I scrubbed through all the live interviews first before going back and watching the whole thing from start to finish, haha. All the guests were great, was nice to be able to put a face and voice to some of the usual names from the chat.
Awesome episode!! Really wonderful to see you interact with your subscribers, it was such a joy to watch, very uplifting, perfect episode to welcome spring. 🙏🏽💖 Happy International Fragrance Day, and Happy Spring! 🍃🌷🌱🌼🌿🌸
Persolaise, I loved watching this fabulous video. I wear Eau de Campagne by Sisley a lot in the spring & summer. It is an old fragrance but very classy.
Happy Belated Norooz Dariush, with the warmest wishes for a new year filled with abundance, health, success, love, and joy! I love these top 10s; they are always informative and shape my seasonal roadmap as it relates to perfumes. I find Aliage green and woody, so more of a Fall scent for me; I do LOVE it. I still have a half bottle that's older, and was hesitant to buy a bottle with the new formulation, but you seemed OK with it, so I may have to attempt that now.
What a lovely idea! Excellent job of convening, Mr. P, looking forward to trying some of these suggestions. I'm loving my bottle of Chanel No.5 Eau Premiere (same formulation that you have). Sparkly, luxurious Sprite Soda that morphs into a buttery, transparent cloud of Chanel flowers on a bed of Bois de Iles sandalwood. 🥰
That was a wonderful interactive live stream which I enjoyed watching in the replay. I imagined that had I been available for the livestream and had the guts to join the call, I would have mentioned L’orpheline as a favorite spring perfume. Then immediately thought that it was a disliked perfume because no one ever talks about it, so then I thought about my second favorite spring perfume Niki de Saint Phalle. I was so happy to hear you talk about it L’orpheline. It’s great in the spring with that particular spring wind swirling the notes around for our pleasure! You’ve got a great community of perceptive and interested viewers. PS…I love your shirt. Is it semi transparent or is the background color such that it appears transparent? It’s beautiful!! Happy New Year!
Thank you so much. I didn't think the shirt was transparent, but it does seem to have taken on that quality in that lighting. And yes, L'Orpheline is underrated.
I think people were heavily influenced by Luca Turin's savage review in his last book. I've noticed a lot of unfair criticism of SL in the on-line community that I think is based on Turin's acid comments.
Excellent video - really cheered me up (I'm in bed with COVID)! Wonderful contributions, and definitely worth doing again. I've been working my way through the ELdO sample set (your pick from them isn't in mine argh...!). Unfortunately I've not been taken by much yet, although Jasmin et Cigarette, Spice Must Flow and, in particular La Fin Du Monde have intrigued me on first sampling (albeit the construction of the latter two isn't too shocking...I just enjoy them). As for my choice for spring, I still think the weather in the UK feels a bit cold, but I've been exploring Penhaligon's Bluebell with some enjoyment. A bit of an unusual choice for a northern guy, but why should the pearl-clutching poshos have all the fun!
I just got samples of the traditional Chanel No. 5, plus the flanker L'eau No. 5, and I agree that in general that works out quite well for spring. It's a light and bright scent for spring. L'eau has a beautiful powdery dry down that reminds me a bit of Shalimar. My other choice is L'air du Temps, beautiful light floral. When it gets warmer and sunnier outside, I want to put it on. Honorable mention goes to Lucky You by Lucky Brand.
My husband & I were perfume shopping yesterday, and I’m gently nudging him toward a bottle of H24. Green fragrances don’t really suit me, but I would love to smell this one on someone else for spring.
Persolaise, you were SO right about TF Rose de Russie! I really wanted to love it, based on my own fantasies of a rose-imbued Russian leather scent. Alas, it smelled 100% synthetic and confused to my nose. Oh well!
I love Aliage from Lauder, unfortunately the modern reformulation is not as good as the vintage fragrance with was gorgeous. IMO the modern version is a bit flat but when combined(layered) with Mandarine Basilic from Guerlain it evokes the spirit of the great old Aliage. I usually don’t layer perfumes but this combination (2 Spritz of Aliage with 1 Mandarine Basilic) is very convincing.
I really liked wearing bortnikoff vetiver nocturne absolute it has a ton of natural jasmine and neroli and settles down to a lot of white ambergris and oak moss , vetiver . Just have a sample because it’s expensive
Ah... Alliage! As a kid, I loved stealing my mom's Alliage from her rococo dressing table and misting myself with it.... There was only one original Mitsouko bottle and Alliage in a very plain 70s bottle - it just didn't fit there stylistically, I must have found ;-)
You have such a nice, well-behaved class of pupils with excellent taste, Mr. P. You should be so proud! Very enjoyable episode.
Couldn't agree more. Thanks, Caro.

Rachel, this is so, so kind of you, thank you. Let’s all support each other 😊
And yes… some of the ‘info’ produced by brands isn’t exactly worthwhile.
This was so much fun! What a great idea! Thank you also to the guests who are as interesting as ever and provided me a new longing for perfumes I hadn't heard of before. Please do this again, Mr. P!
Yes, I definitely need to do another audience participation video. Thanks for watching.

I really enjoyed this video Persolaise. Seeing the "guests" on your channel during the live with their recommendations was fantastic!
Thank you so much for this kind comment.
Wonderful. I can see this as a regular segment in your channel. I am as excited as you to finally see faces and voices to the words.
Excellent, thank you.
I had so much pleasure watching this video! Hopefully I will catch it live and maybe share my favorite fragrance.

"Gentle defiance!" I love that description for L'Orpheline. I get so many compliments when I wear it. It also leaves a huge trail. I wore it to work thinking only I would smell it but so many people asked me what I was wearing.
Interesting. Perhaps it needs to be classed as an undiscovered gem.
Or a little known gem, I should say.
