Varnam
'Varna' means color according to the name it has various shades of Abhinaya, the expressions.
It is a central piece of Bharatnatyam Margam. it is the most intricate piece of the Bharatnatyam Margam which has a judicial blend of Abhinaya, the expressions and the Nritta, the pure dance.

Here Nayika is Satyabhama who is complaining to her Sakhi about her husband Lord Krishna. "Hari is very cunning, he has no compassion towards me, now you don't take any efforts becouse he has never made any of my dreams come true." She continues complaining about him but at last she agrees if Krishna just holds her hand then that would suffice her.
About Apeksha Niranjan
Apeksha Niranjan is a Bharatnatyam dancer, choreographer, teacher from Mumbai.
Her beautiful expressions, rythmic sculptural movements and her dance with precision has always enchanted the audience. Expressions is her fortè and because of her beautiful expressions she is cited as 'Queen of Expressions'. Her dance erased geographical borders when she was the first to incorporate Gregorian Chants (chants traditionally sung in Roman Catholic Churches in Europe) into a traditional Bharatnatyam concert.
Apeksha has been bestowed with many awards and titles few of them are national Best Performer Award by Parthsarathi Swami Sabha, Nritya shiromani Award, Yuva Kala Ratna award, Vengi Kala Ratna Award, Nupur Kala Ratna Award, Nataraj Sanman, Nritya jyoti title, Natyakala Choodamani title, Nrityaranjini title, Nrityashivali titles and many more.
She has played the role of lead actress in several Marathi Films few of them are Zunzar, Mingo, Sang Priye Tu Kunachi, Ata Lagnala Chala, Amachi Didi, Owalani etc.
She is the 1st Indian to perform in DAP Festival of dance in Italy.
She has presented several Bharatanatyam recitals in Poland. She is also the cultural Ambassador of Poland house, a Poland based orphanage for Indian orphan kids in India.
