Where were the C-130s and C-141s based out of. I have some old pictures from this show. Trying to get serials but the search has been futile. Is this all 1994 or is some of this 1995? I thought the B-29, Lancaster, Connie etc came in 1995 for the big fly by of WWII aircraft for the 50th anniversary of the end of WWII?

Awesome. Were you in 3/319th Artillery? IIRC, thats who hosted the jump. I was in 2/504th Infantry, but volunteered to get on the jumps since I was originally from Cincinnati.

That was a fun weekend. I went home to Cincy Saturday night after we jumped and then went back up to Dayton for the Sunday jump. How did the Sunday jump go for you? That was the day of the high winds. Injured my hip on the runway on the Sunday jump and had surgery on it at Bragg, but wasn’t severe enough that had to retire then. Retired in 2010. Hip has developed bad arthritis and will need a replacement eventually, but it is what it is.
      AATW.. 😀

Thanks for posting this! I was at this airshow, and I was about 12 years old! I remember being extremely dissapointed at the Saturday show because the B-1 demo had to be cancelled due to "not enough time." But the Tornado demo was pretty sweet. It was a really hot day too, and I remember being super thirsty walking back to the van!

Thanks, sorry its been so long since I got back and replied, lol. Yeah, we made a jump on Saturday and then another on Sunday. Since I am from Cincinnati, my family came to the airshow to get me and I went home (Cincinnati) for that Saturday night. On Sunday, they took me back up to Dayton to do the Sunday jump, then we headed back to Ft. Bragg, NC. It was a fun weekend!
