As a french guy, I almost cry when looking at this. Rugby class at its finest. One of the most famous rugby thing, the NZ Haka, pure beauty of tradition, culture, and bravery. And then, facing the world famous Haka that is in the spotlight, you start to hear the anonymous and forgotten people of Ireland, no face, no name, ten thousands kilometers from their homeland, singing in unison, "The Fields of Athenry". The two perfectly balanced, (at 1:00 it is so frightening) just before a great rugby match-up. Defenitively what I will show to someone to proove rugby is something special.

How are Irish fans being disrespectful? I thought it was a beautiful blend of cultures. Their motive was not to antagonize the All Blacks, but show their support for their team. They didn't go into the stadium to watch the Haka, but to support their team. This is not an aul pub song, it is a song enshrined into Irish culture reminding us of darker days in our history and who were are and where we are today. No disrespect intended to the Kiwis at all. They wanted to give their lads support as they faced the big challenge ahead of them. Both the Haka and the fields of Athenry are incredible and wonderful displays of culture.

As this is between players - our fans want to give our players a boost. That song gives me and many others goosebumps. I really hate the thought of Kiwis thinking we're out to be rude and disruptive, that's not what we want and we're not like that. Just focusing on our boys only as the ABs plant down the challenge. The passions was easily seen on both sides from fans and players, the intensity was high that painted a strong desire to win. Then, they went at it, the battle - rugby! Ireland came way short... The mighty all blacks a force to be reckon with...they won in style.

Even though Ireland are a good side, there was no way this Irish team deserved no 1 ranking in the world. The only reason they beat New Zealand twice previously is because Ireland were playing a tired and weary New Zealand team coming to the last games of their season, and Ireland were fresh off the blocks, and they treated these test (challenge) games like a world cup game. But as always when the world cup comes then you generally know how good or bad a team are, as every big team raises the bar. And the media, as always exaggerating, and building them up as if they were the invincibles.

As a South Pacific Islander, I don't mind at all if the fans of the opposing teams sing their traditional songs during the performance of our Haka (NZ), Siva Tau (Samoa), Sipi Tau (Tonga), or Cibi (Fiji). Traditionally, we don't expect our opponents to just stand there in silence, while we're basically telling them we're going to destroy/kill you. In ancient past, a war challenge always expect a response from the opposing side.
