@@avenuea5928 just because the show was centered around his character, doesn't mean he carried it. He couldn't have done what he did without a lot of the other characters. Every show has main characters (plural) and the show will go on without them (if that's what it comes down to).
@Corporal Feel no way nothing I said has anything to do with pay. But if you want my thoughts on it, people should be paid fairly regardless of whether or not carry the series(which he did not) , the problem is that he did not advocate for himself.
If I went for a job and they did not offer what I thought I was worth, I would not take the job. If I was already at a job and thought I deserved more, I would ask for more or move onto something else.
Why should we care if he didnt care enough himself. He said himself that he was underpaid for everything he did prior to Power (that's his fault). Unfortunately, most employers base their offer on your previous salary (along with other factors), it's seems that the entertainment industry isn't any different. Even if he accepted it the first season out of desperation (or whatever reasons he may have had), once he saw how popular the show became he should have asked for more.
We don't know the budget, what others were paid, or anything else to say he should have been paid more with out is knowing more is irresponsible.

see people sign these 5-7 year contracts with the network and both parties agree to a number and that number is before you become who you are, some people never become the face of the show so the network tends to lose money most of the time but theres rare cases where they MAKE money, like this situation dude was the face of power and the face of the network, he agreed to a whatever number they put on the paper so its really him no one saw the future and saw how big he could/would have been not even he saw it or he would have asked for a bigger number but thats just how it works, you agreed to x number of episodes for x amount of years.
