    This was an excellent video especially on the 308 damn this thing is doing some work! I had an Enticer L on my Spear 308 and there's too much back pressure to feed correctly towards the top of the mag.
    Biggest difference I noticed on your 308 between the longer can and the sti was the back pressure, ejection was lookin 1 o'clock vs almost 4 o'clock on the Enticer S which is exactly what I need to slow my hot speed down and feed reliably
    Super helpful video!

    • @SuppressedNation
      @SuppressedNation  8 місяців тому +4

      I am running a Rifle Speed gas block on the AR10. I had it on setting 5 for suppressed, that's usually the setting I run with the Specwar and my normal ammo. But we shot it all up when the PTR91 showed up. So those were 150 and 180gr hunting rounds. I did not move it while shooting so the back pressure difference you see is the cans working. So if you're speaking on the Ar10 and not the PTR91 get that Rifle Speed system on your gun and dial it in with ease!!

      @@SuppressedNation I'd love to but the sig Spear 308 is all proprietary and I only have 2 gas settings to work with lol, but this video did help me confirm that if I want an Enticer to run on this rig it should be the much lower back pressure Enticer S which still does a damn good job on a 16" 308 just as good or even better than some older suppressor designs over the L for sure!

    • @SuppressedNation

    Hows the gas blowback on these compared to other suppressors? It looked pretty good on the semiautos other than the 308s lol

    • @SuppressedNation
      @SuppressedNation  3 місяці тому +1

      I run adjustable gas blocks on everything so I don’t really notice gas on a lot of suppressors. I’m not adjusting them all to the specific can that day but usually have them set for the suppressor I normally have on the gun. I would only adjust it if the gun wouldn’t cycle from being to low of a back presssire or to gassy to my face. Neither have I had problem with yet. It sounds good so it’s got some back pressure no doubt but nothing you can’t fix tuning your rifle.

    • @angelavila8722
      @angelavila8722 3 місяці тому +1

      @@SuppressedNation Thats good to hear! Ive recently become interested in getting a suppressor and have been wondering how much tuning your rifle can mitigate the “gassy” suppressors but i believe that answers my question. Thanks for the reply and the video, DDC is definitely top of the list for my first suppressor!

    • @SuppressedNation
      @SuppressedNation  3 місяці тому +1

      @@angelavila8722 When we were metering and we used guns with adjustable gas blocks we could get almost every can we had out that day to meter within 1 db at the ear. Definitely a fan of a tuned gun over just slapping a Flo can on. To me I can get the tuned set up to perform how I want gas wise and sound wise. But even shooting with no can you still get gas coming back thru the gun. So having the ability to adjust can maximize its performance.

    • @SuppressedNation

      No, in all my years of shooting the only endcap strike I’ve had came from using an ebrake on a nomad. I was told I was stacking tolerances. The hit not only destroyed the endcap but also raised the ebrake up and destroyed the threads on that. Thankfully it did not hurt the threads on the can. I was told to send them in to be looked at and they would replace them. It’s been 4-5 years and no replacement has ever arrived 😔

      Thank you I run a Rode video shotgun mic. You have to play around with the distance from the gun and volume settings on your camera to capture what sounds real. I know when I first got into making videos I was told to keep the mic close and volume low but that made everything sound quiet. When I would speak it would be super low and not real. I’ve gotten experience over the years to the distance and settings I like to capture a decent audio

    Who’s mount are you running on it?

    • @SuppressedNation
      @SuppressedNation  3 місяці тому

      On the single shot its the Hansohn's Ti 5/8 direct thread. On the 10.5 556 its Hansohn Brothers 1/2 Ti direct thread. On the 14.5 556 and ar10 its the silencerco asr. On the 6.5 ruger, AK, PTR and at the beginning where I'm talking its the Dead Air keymo. I think that's all the mounts. I'm working on switching a bunch of the guns I use for videos on the regular to plan b compatible devices. It can be a pain to pull what I normally run on a certain gun to drop a specific mount just for a video. Especially when it's a bunch of guns. So hoping to streamline the process! lol

    I only have 5 cans now, and plan on at least 4 more, but I just can not get excited about the S or K cans.
    For my money, I want maximum hush. I do not mind the extra 2 inches and slightly bigger girth (That's what she said) as a trade to get ear-friendly performance.
    I get the idea of the short cans. They look much cooler, and would be better in CQB use. However, I am not kicking doors or running around engaging anything, so the extra length is not a problem for me. As for the cool factor - I learned a long time ago, no matter what I use or what I do, I am not the cool kid.....😏😏

      @@SuppressedNation My 30cal can is the CGS Hyperion, and it does a great job and both db reduction and a beefier tone. I can highly recommend it. For 9mm/300blk I use the Mod9 (also from CGS) - No, I am not a CGS fan-boy - I just found those two to work the best for me. The Mod9 lives on my .380 and it is back-yard quiet, if you have a slightly above average size yard. (Not as quiet as the Mask in .22 - a little louder, but much throatier)

On rails that are tight to the can I run Superlative and if they have room in-between I run the RifleSpeed. I actually hacked into my 300bo so that I could run a RifleSpeed.
