I've never heard this version until UA-cam tossed this up during a Bongwater binge today. I love it. Trademark Ann Magnuson over the top hilarious monologue larded with Bowie song titles and lyric fragments. I hope he got to hear it.
If you listen to the whole song, I think that it really evolves from the beginning & builds to better, it is a very unique version of the Bowie classic, unlike MOST covers of songs, that, overwhelmingly, are mere, redundant, pointless, imitations that offer NOTHING new, this one, IMO, like it, or not, DEFINITELY is a creative, entertaining, inspired, interpretation...
The woman can really sing! Anything she can't do? I wonder. What a talent......
