That a nice flat bed
Use strong magnets with a little hole drilled in the side so that you can pull the cover when you need to.
Keeping the steel guys happy too
Armored flatbed truck, looking good, !
Finger holes and as a locking device a magnet

great job Yuri,Mark, . like the 2 doors on the bed
GREAT WORK GUYS!!! SUPER F550!
Have you thought about maybe a electric door opener? The hinge would open up and drop down into bed with no clearance problems. Just a idea. Use hinge on the inside and slide back into bed. I have never seen this done just a thought. Keep it up and be safe you guys are awesome!
Nice job.
I used those rare earth magnets, for the flap over my gooseneck hitch on my last truck, with a couple holes to stick a booger picker in, just like you guys, worked real well, and it holds it flipped open real nice too, and nothing to get crushed, you could drive something on it in the open position and it wouldn't crush a spring or something like that.
Heavy, heavy duty boys! 👍
ya swan neck hatch needs a simple hinge, a couple of finger holes, and magnets to lock, needs lots of attachments yet, d rings to attach straps etc, tool boxes, which, but again Uri, tiz all looking very sweet
The truck is looking good. nice work guys.
That was slick as shit making the template and laying it on top to cut out the trap door. Nice work.
Yuri is the white Westly Snipes.💪
Killer job per usual
Couple of hydrolic bonnet, sorry hood, openers and a couple of finger holes. Certainly added some extra weight on the back wheels!
Might add some light conduit under the bed to run the wiring for the marker lights and the headache rack. Its way heavy and that to me is kinda counter productive with hauling a load across the scales. Go to the steel place and see if they can roll a piece that will meet your requirements for fenders over tires
Do like patch Mack said do a hideaway hinge and slot it so you can slide the plate off have 2 holes in it and some really strong magnets like door magnets
Great video. I've spent years fabricating everything from race car trailers, ramp trucks, utility trailers etc, so watching guys create things from standard-stock steel (plate, angle, channel, tubing etc ) really gets my mind going as to what to build next.
You need to weld some loops for tie downs on that bed somewhere so you can strap/chain loads down.
hold it in with magnets put a hole in it to lift it out but spray the top with raptor as when it gets wet it will be slick
I SECOND the magnet idea! Rare earth magnets...it won't take many! Hinge on the opposite side.
Hey guys, I would add, just use a small piece of steel...SUPER THIN... That would go between the magnet and the cover piece of diamond plate. You buy strong enough magnets, lol... Once you mount put them in place you will never have to worry about them! You just don't want the magnets to get the tar beat out of them and potentially crack or fracture. You can buy magnets that are strong enough where they would literally CRUSH a finger if it was put between it and metal... Science lesson for the day!
Yes, the beast is finally back... beautiful looking truck.
Should've had Ben lay those welds down. He can lay stacks. Haha JK. Good job Yuri
thats going to be one heavy truck
Very detailed
You guys make it look too easy, appreciate your skills. Great videos!
Awesome job
Very talented
What started as a jigsawpuzzle ended in a beautifial flooring for the bed !!! Excelent welding from the Weldmeister Yuri and is assistens making a great job!! And Yuri when you ever wants a careerchange: Be a Weigtlifter !! Nice video and nice camerawork as always, see you guys the next time !
I suggest 2 holes to open but no hinge, use strong magnets.
Welding away right next to the freshly painted $250,000 Lambo !!!
recessed d ring for pulling the hatch open. you could also recess the latch.
For your hitch door cover look up "180 Degree Extend Tip Out Hidden Hinge in Chrome", "Large Round Recessed Ring Pull", and "Cabinet Locks" that will get you all the exact parts you are looking for. The 180 degree hinge is pretty cool engineering.
Hope you can have a good rest this weekend. That Ford is going to be a one of super truck
Huge props to this talented, hard working fam!!
You guys work so hard .the trucks looking really good fella well done 👌🙏🙏🙏🙏
Groetjes uit Holland 👍👋🏼👋🏼🌹🌹🌹🌹
I never get tired of seeing the creativity, so impressive how it's all in your head and you just make it happen (that steel store is fascinating, and is a battering ram completely off the table? 🤔) The welding is next level, as always! The 550 is like a showcase of talents. Quality work 👌
Fantastic effort, much respect. Yuri, your talents continue to impress. Cheers!
Hey Yuri, Reading Body has ALL the locking latches an hardware you’ll need for that, Do a Google Search an see what you can come up with.... Truck is LOOKING GREAT!!!!! I happen to watch this video 6min after ya posted it!!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍👍👍
So Motorhead.co have nearly finished rebuilding their truck, which is to be used to pick up their wrecks to rebuild, Nice one lads.
Well done and that is an extreamly neat job you did on the bed, honestly that is a particularly good fabrication. We see you guys straightening out trucks and cars and bringing them back to life but you know how they should look and I'm not saying it's not difficult to do this as it takes a lot of skill to get those running again but you are kin of following a design that someone else had already made and you can get the parts needed to make it look good again, this is totally different as this is all on you guys your design your fabrication so honest well done 👏.
good stuff
Use magnets to hold it down. Easy, simple and no need for hinges 👍
Really appreciate the fab work guys, excellent skill on display.
Nice. Curious for the end result. Will be awesome.
Great work again, looking good as always. Joe
Make the locking mechanism magnetic. Fix neodymium magnets on the flap and make some holes to put fingers in to pull open. Maybe weld some hinges from the underside. Some butt hinges should do the job. Nice work though!
Ya guys getting her done great job Thank You
Make a frame truss more dense - even from thin square profiles. I welded the trailer myself and after a few heavy loads the floor plate bends
Good job on those welding it takes time and effort to make it look good keep it up
Recessed pull loops for handles to open.
Great job everyone and thank you
On/Off "magswitch" secured under the bed to hold plate closed.
Nice work as usual boys keep up the good work
You've doubled its value with all the metal plaiting... "bomb proof" :)
For the lid check type of lock with key that will be perfect ...
nice strong deck for sure!
i wouldnt cut too much over the rear wheels or it will greatly weaken it there!
if more clearance is needed you need risers between the truck's frame and the deck.
now before this is all done all and i mean all metal needs to be painted or it will rust like mad!
i know tennesse dosent see much salt and vehicules dont rust too badly there! .would be a totally different deal where i live! lol
anyway! great build! looks real good and killer welds!
now i like the idea of a strong and semi truck inspired rear hitch design!
that will be strong and look good!
i love the truck builds!
keep it coming boys!
great content! 💪
I can't even think of 1 steal place in my state! Y'all have like 50 it seems lol! Great progress, those welds are killer!
It will be interesting to see what empty weight will be when all fab work is done
Easy magnetize to keep it in with two reset handles to keep it smooth
4th?Wow.Awesome work guys.
looking dope guys🤟
Put a toolbox on the side underneath the bed
Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo les amis au top comme toujours 👍🙏💪🙏
tnx for the video
When you lift that plate from the centre of the bed it would be good if you could use a kind of buckle lock that you couldalso use as a handle for the flap plus you will need somewhere to stow that full panel when you remove it.
Another great video guys
use magnets its easy and strong
Give the hatch a barn door style
one hole for your finger to lift up and 2 swinging hinges.
Best Heavy duty hinges are made from shelby tubing.
where you guys at?...no new video for 3 weeks.
Magnetic no holes just put a magnet on the flat over lock
Use a lock and just need to make small hole to introduce the keys
Nice 😍😍
Hey what’s going on with you guys haven’t seen y’all or your brother on in over 5 weeks. Wanted to be sure everything is OK. Hope to see y’all back on soon.
Algo
try some magnets to lock the hitch door
Corn cob welds
Yo Yuri, hating on Chevys man. They the best machines on Earth.! you need to talk to your cousin Danny an little Nate they let you know how good them Chevys are . Haha love the channel God bless
💪💪💪
How much wire and gas did it take to weld up this fine piece of custom steel work. Nice 👍
I think he said two rolls of wire, and he still needed more. I can only guess how many cut-off discs and sanding/grinding wheels were used.
piano hinge a big one.
hope everything is ok with you and your family .
It looks great, you could figure out a latch system that runs underneath the bed to the side or back for the hatch. Are you going to paint the bed and are you going to add utility boxes?
It was mentioned some time ago that you wanted to make a camping body for the truck, but the big boss wanted a flat bed. So now that the bed is done, when are you going to build the slide-on camping body so that you have the best of both worlds?
F350 is nice
I love the truck guys but what are you going to doing what with tires and rims? Like are you going to be buying chrome aftermarket rims
Use magnets
1:08 bright sparks? 😎
Get some rust protect and paint on top
u should purshase a steel store
is that truck really that high or Vlad really that short..lol..great job guys
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hey boys did you weld the sheet underneath to the tray framework otherwise the sheet will rattle
Must be nice being rich, Says the guy standing next to a McLaren Lol
Are you guys going to make fender flairs for the back ?
