Rest in peace, Amy Winehouse. She had such an incredible talent, it's heartbreaking that she left us far too early.
What's your favorite Amy Winehouse song?
@@kamsismithlove is a losing game
Love that song! I prefer the original version over the remix with Mos Def. Don't get me wrong, I love UMI Says, but it just felt out of place.
@@kamsismith Probably Back to Black, Tears Dry on their Own, or Rehab. How about yourself?
Back to Black and Rehab are really good songs and I'm not too crazy about Tears Dry on Their Own although I love the song that it samples which is obviously Ain’t No Mountain High(the most covered song ever), but my favorite songs are Me and Mr Jones, Love is a Losing Game, You Know I’m No Good, Stronger Than Me, and Valerie. I hope Amy doesn't get the Blonde treatment.
“Since you’ve Been Gone”Kelly is a powerhouse and the lyrics are so strong!
Great list, but i can't believe "Bad Romance" isn't listed.
IKR I was expecting it to be number 1
They probably picked Pokerface since that was the song that launched her into the stratosphere, but yeah I would have picked Bad Romance too.
Should’ve been number 1
I knoooooo…I LOVE that song with a passion.
@@Zodia195 Yeah, they probably looked Poker Face as the one they choose for one song from her, with Bad Romance could have been easily substituted.
BEP- I Got a feeling
Britney Spears- Oops I did it again.
Pink -Let the party Started
Beyonce- Crazy In love.
Nsync- By bye Bye
Lady Gaga- bad Romance
We found love - Rihanna X Calvin Harris
Hung up - Madonna
Sia Chandelier
As it was- Harry Styles
And many More
As iconic Oops I did it again is, it can't be included on the list because it was released year 2000.
This list is for the 21st century that starts year 2001 to 2100.
Bye Bye Bye was also released year 2000
Top 10
1. Toxic
2. Bad Romance
3. Hung Up
4. Tik Tok
5. Blinding Lights
6. Single Ladies
7. So What
8. Say It Right
9. Feel Good Inc
10. Yeah!
thats a great top
P!nk is by far my favourite singer and she's the person I admire the most. So unapologetic, she's always been truth to herself, to her music and to her principles. Her live performances are among the best in history and her songs are inspiring and also a consolation for those like me who have been bullied for our entire life
I love her too, great singer
she's the impersonation of PICK ME cringe.
Pink is amazing. I love her. she's done so much for the music industry. her fans and her family are who she cares about the most. Blue Turtle you're a joke. your whole page is about BTS
I'd like to give a big shout out to Nelly Furtardo's Promiscuous as it showcased her range from wholesome folk pop to smooth talking party girl.
Sure critics may have called her a sell-out, but Nelly's new sexy image showed some sophistication and she was a young mom during the Loose era.
Such a classic!
@@Texaslawhorn IKR? It still goes off to this day, as soon as Nelly and Tim start off with "Am I throwing you off?
Nope! Didn't think so" I am immediately on my feet and shaking what my momma gave me!
@@ryanappleton3653 I also laughed when I heard the story that JT accidentally dropped on by while they were recording the music video and Nelly and Timberland were very chill and invited him to be in the music video, so that's how he had a cameo. It was something like that though, but I could be wrong lol.
My fav Nelly song is Say it Right.
@@Zodia195 JT has very creepy facial expressions in my opinion when he's "dancing". Also if you pause in the video at some points, you can also see Keri Hilson who worked as a songwriter and vocalist for Timbaland and write alongside Danja for Britney's Blackout
1 toxic
2 bad romance
3 firework
4 we found love
5 so what
6 viva la vida
7 someone like you
8 stronger (what doesn’t kill you)
9 you’re beautiful
10 chandelier
Got sick of those but were really famous, so I refuse to rank them
I got a feeling
Happy
Somebody that I used to know
Tik tok
Bad Romance should've been here on this list as well
This list is too simple without:
"Complicated" (2002) - Avril Lavigne
Three drives-Letting you go extended mix 1998😀
"Umbrella" is still my jam! I am surprised Madonna did not make your list.
I mean, where's Hung Up?
Where’s Music?! 🤷🏻♂️😳🙄
I just thought the same thing about Madonna after watching this video...hmm.
She would for the 90's
@@bherrin67 Music was released year 2000
21st century is year 2001 to 2100
Apologies to Rhianna, but whenever I hear "Umbrella", I can't help
but think of Tom Holland's epic dance sequence on "Lip Sync Battle".
Pretty sure I'm not the only one, either.😉
Cant get you out of my head is timeless... i love it!
Still ahead of its time 22 years later!
Love me some Kylie Minogue 😊
Uptown funk in the first place: I couldn't agree with it more! 🤩
Gnarles Barkley's "Crazy" topped multiple lists of best songs of the decade. How is it completely omitted from this list?
I'm guessing it's because Cee-Lo is cancelled. Otherwise it's criminal not to include one of the most unique songs of this century which was also a huge hit.
Crazy is crazy good
"Hips don't lie" by Shakira and "Happy" by Pharrell Williams are my top pics. Happy thursday afternoon, Kirsten. Take care and God bless you, greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Would love to know how you guys chose the songs, units sold? Charting position? Streams? Or personal preference 🙃
Obviously, by her comments, by personal feelings.
Good question. I was born in the early sixties. I'm a fervent music listener and I've heard some great music that was created in the last 24 years. Almost nothing on this list is in that category. So, best songs of the century? If that was true, it would be incredibly sad.
Just a theory... but based on some of the choices, I'm guessing that heavy drugs played a small role in the selection meeting.
“Rehab” is also my number one Amy Winehouse song.
RIP, Amy Winehouse.
Toxicccccc!!! She set the world on fire with that song and it has not recovered since.
Neither has she...
Blinding Lights blew me away
P!nk is so underrated. I hope she gets more attention these days.
Do you seriously think she’s underrated she is one of the biggest star that came from the 2000s she literally has some of the biggest hits to from those years.
no she is not underrated LMAO. She was Billboard's Artist of the Decade 2000s
How the HELL is Usher’s “Yeah” not on this list? That song is top 5 if not #1 worthy.
I do hope Usher sings that at the Super Bowl, its a classic.
@jaclynsanture6643 he has to. And if Ludacris came out I'd start losing it
@@erinehinger956 Ohh, so would I!
Isn't that song considered hip hop and not pop? 🤔
Maybe in your world, but it was only slightly bit in the 2000s. It’s a good song but not top 10
It's tough to pick songs as there are so many great songs. I was totally vibing along with picks and then you gifted me with Kylie Minogue, and I'm like, "Yes, this list." Interesting note, both Can't Get You Out of My Head and Toxic were co-written by Cathy Dennis. Great representation for her!
Why isn't Chandelier by Sia here?
Thank you for the update, MsMojo..!! Awesome collection of the best songs of the 21st century. I don't like to listen to the songs that are popular nowadays, because they don't sound like good songs to listen to.
You almost reached 5.2 million subscribers, MsMojo. Keep up the good work. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks so much!
@@MsMojo have it on good authority that Harry Styles Watermelon Sugar High is simply about being addicted to Watermelon 🍉 . Why did you leave out Miley Cyrus Flowers Or Used to be young ? ♑️✍️🇳🇴🇦🇺
The entire time listening to this list I thought if Uptown Funk isn’t number one that it was useless and you didn’t disappoint.
Wow! Great. Really well done! Loved all of it. Interesting how Toxic and Can't Get You Out Of My Head were both written by early 90s British pop star Cathy Dennis. Another honorable mention could or should have been Say So by Doja Cat.
Me almost thinking Rolling In The Deep was low on the list but then seeing every remaining song on the list making me think it was placed correctly (excluding honorable mentions)
I'd still prefer Get Lucky over Happy. Random Access Memory has a lot of bangers, and although I'm not very religious, I would still prefer Old Town Road over Montero. Old Town Road is a cultural moment smashing records after records. And where is Love Me Like You Do? Just like Toxic, LMLYD is still appreciated especially the new fans. Love it or hate, it's one of the best and biggest Max Martin-produced hit. Where are Royals by Lorde? Born To Die by Lana Del Rey? even Bad Guy by Billie Eilish? Lana's Born To Die was considered authentic by many critics in pop. When Lorde dropped Royals in 2013 it became an instant hit because of its charisma and unique musical productions. It's a breath of fresh air. Bad Guy is also one of the most memorable pop songs of this century. Through this Billie became a huge star and has opened a lot of doors to many upcoming artists born in the 21st century including Olivia Rodrigo. Not to mention, Avril Lavigne's Complicated? She brought back the pop-punk back in the mainstream and influenced a lot of stars in the comings years. Let's not forget NSYNC's music in the early 2000s, Kesha in the early 2010s, and of course Nelly Furtado and Timbaland's hits after hits collabs. And really? Shape of You? Higher than Rolling In The Deep? and Rehab? Shape Of You deserves a spot here but higher than some of the classics here is a bit off. Also, if Britney, Beyonce, and Kylie are here, Madonna should too. her early 2000s hit, Music and Hung Up from her Confessions On The Dancefloors proved that she really is the Queen of Pop.
(Not a fan of Ariana and Sia but I think 7 Rings or No Tears Left To Cry as well as Cheap Thrills or Chandelier deserve at least an honorable mention. These songs have a huge moments in pop this century as well)
My favorite pop songs are No Excuses by Meghan Trainor, So What by P!nk and Poker Face by Lady Gaga 😄💕🎶
“Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” is one of the best Beyonce songs of all time.
For over 15 years, millions of people in general can’t stop listening to this song.
LOL
I remember being at karaoke at an anime con and someone and her friends started doing this song when halfway through the performance after she sang, "Put a ring on it", her boyfriend, who was in the front row, actually got on one knee and proposed right then and there. She lost it and said yes. One of my fav con memories. The guy apparently got con staff permission to do that. Suffice to say, she didn't finish the song, she was too overwhelmed lol.
You forgot to mention I cant stop the feeling by Justin Timberlake ❤ That's a jam!
11:25 The Sunshine state is Florida. California is The Golden State.
Yes, I caught that too.
The 2000s had so many classic songs. While the 2010s and 2020s had their hits too, nothing can beat the 2000s. With Back to Black coming out in 4 months, they either need to give Amy Winehouse the respect she didn't deserve while she was alive or shelf the movie altogether because no one was demanding for a biopic to begin with.
You know why music from the year 2010 or even 2020 cannot beat music from the year 2000, it's because before we listened to music for music's sake. While today the music market is saturated and there is no originality, very industrialized to please everyone without losing its essence by applying it. The music of now is mass music.
@@erickacornu774 You haven't heard the lament of the older generations when 1990s Techno and Eurodance hit the charts 😂
@@fraum3725 If I've heard it, I forgot to include the 80s and 90s in the music.
@@erickacornu774 Do you think music quality improved after y2k and got worse in 2010 again? (I personally like 90s music really much but some of it is just easy to digest pop or alternative)
Definitely think you include Levitating and Dynamite in this collection!
“California Gurls” is also one of my few favorite Katy Perry songs. 😊
“Can’t Get You Out of My Head” became one of my top 4 most favorite Kylie Minouge songs. 😁
I love her
I was just thankful as a college student at the time that she released music here in the US again!

Barring one or two annoying ones, most of these were, are, and will continue to remain, bangers!!! Glad to see one of the frequently overlooked Queens of Pop, Lady Minogue, getting a well deserved spot.
Adele voice is so good and so beautiful love her songs especially Rolling in the Deep and my favourite; Skyfall
My favorite is Skyfall, it won an Oscar,as it should.
What is your background? I mean your grand parents, etc?
More Pink needed
Also Anastacia & Christina Aguilara
sorry, nothing iconic among Christina Aguiler's discography. Good thing she has a great voice.
My personal favorite of Amy Winehouse is Back to Black, but kudos to this list - well done!
Should have been in top 5
I cannot believe Ari isn’t on this list…😭 thank u, next and 7 rings were MOMENTS. She absolutely deserved to be here
It's a loss for the list that Ari isn't there
@@WhoseAfraidOfLittleOldMe-nah this is fine. So many pop stars there before her
Whether you dislike him as a person or not, Justin Timberlake should have been on this list. Sexy Back, Rock your Body, Like I Love You are all pop bangers. Hell, *NSYNC even had a song called POP that could have been on this list!
"Rock Your Body" immediately comes to mind for me.
@@marcus813rock your body is such a banger
It is wild SexyBack isn’t on here.
Thank you for Kylie!
I feel like “Crazy In Love” by Beyoncé should have been in the top 5. Honorable mentions; “One Thing” by Amerie, “Try Again” by Aaliyah, “Bootylicious” by Destiny’s Child.
yea Bruno is #1...he is so talented. love me some bruno
Hips Don t Lie And Umbrella🔥🔥

Where is Say It Right or Promiscuous?
I want my childhood back 😭😭
“Call Me Maybe” is also one of the best songs in early 2010s. ❤

Nice list!
Somebody That I Used to Know not being at the top of this list let alone not even numbered is WILD.
Kylie's CGYOOMH is the fuckin banger! should be in top 5
The fact that you compared "Call Me Maybe" and "Somebody That I Used to Know" and didn't pick the Gotye track for this list is mind boggling. That song is unique and iconic in a way that will not be soon forgotten. Whereas "Call Me Maybe" is just...fine? It's pop, sure. It's catchy and fun but there's nothing particularly special about it.
Great list! I love to see so many of these songs that I sang and still enjoy them. I love to see Shakira Hips don't lie. 🎉🎉🎉
MsMojo - where is Madonna's "Hung Up"?
Teenage dream? Perfect pop song. And more Dua Lipa 😊
My top pics are dynamite bts, shake it off and lady Gaga bad romance
Think you could do a Top 20 Eurovision songs of the century so far?
O love call me maybe and uptown funk
Two glaring omissions from this list: Hung Up (Madonna) and Crazy In Love (Beyonce) - two perfect pop songs
I'll just say this...."Hey Mama"!!!❤🎉❤
Oh, you also can't forget the current 3.6 billion views Katy Perry Dark Horse!
Just give me a reason deserves a spot 😊
What is your background? I mean, are you Hispanic...?
Rocketeer (2010) Far East Movement Ft. Ryan Tedder underrated and underappreciated check this song out
The MsMojo talkshow as usual!
I’m missing a bit of Usher, Carly has some better songs but def not as big so i can get that, and Taylor Swift I’m not sure i’d go with Shake it Off, otherwise it’s okay i guess
Pharrell Williams’ song “Happy” became one of the best in 2010s. 🙂
Great list. I would have found a way to add a Miley Cyrus in there…maybe Wrecking ball…
You left out Madonna and Michael Jackson! Their impact on Pop and record sales was undeniable.
Wow Amazing
Where the hell is We Belong Together by Mariah Carey which stayed 14 weeks atop the Hot 100 charts, during the airwaves era? It was even proclaimed as the song of the decade (2000-2010)?
Exactly. It should have been 2nd if not the first.
It's rnb?
I don't wanna be a hater, but i will.
I don't get it how Single Ladies and Can't Get Out Of My Head was placed BELOW Blinding Lights...
The list is all of my play list while I was in high school!
I think I like hit songs before. I like K-pop more. There is a new song called ABCD by Nayeon from the band Twice. Very good!
All on my playlist AmaSING
Pop music always shapes the culture cause ranks from fun tunes to literally new waves of art and even style just awesome all around
HIPS DON'T LIE is the STANDARD
Despacito should of been in top 3 for sure, Its ICONIC🤦🏻♂️
my most favorite number one it's uptown funk ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ umbrella with Jay-Z and with Chris Brown hips don't lie by Shakira roar and firework by Katy Perry ✨✨✨❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ hot n colt 💖💖🎶 also but the most make my heartbreak 💔💔💔💔 it's wreaking ball by Miley Cyrus
His whole list just made a dope playlist ❤
Wow Billboard's Song of the Decade winner: We Belong Together (by Mariah Carey) did not make this list 😮
And, before someone says it's more R&B than pop, don't forget Work It from Missy Elliott was included (more hip hop than pop).
My fav is Kylie Minogue Her song is a masterpiece
Hung Up or Music by Madonna
unbelievable how a content like this can have so many intellectual followers
Honorable mention to Katy Perry, with her other song, dark horse featuring Juicy J
The fact that Max Martin wrote and/or produced like half of these 🤩 Swedish legend!!
Beautiful by Christina Aguilera is more meaningful that all those 20 songs in that ranking.
23:52 I knew Uptown Funk WOULD be number 1! It’s now 10 years old too! And so is All About That Bass too! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Yessss
It made me so happy to see BTS in this even if it was only an honorable mention. I genuinely do not understand why they aren't included in more of these lists, because of their contributions to music as well as the fact that they are way more than just kpop and should be in more conversations. So thank you for finally including them in a non kpop list 💜
I was pregnant when umbrella came out and I listened to it so much. I ended up naming my daughter Daniella without even realizing this song probably contributed to her name.
Good song choices but Pink & Taylor all day!!
Madonna & lady gaga should’ve been in top 15
Also gaga & rihanna had there era which was 🔥🔥
Wait... not even an honorable mention for Chandelier?..
My mum's ring tone has been uptown funk for years she loves it 😂
