I listened to this everyday, it’s completely changed my life. Went from being riddled to depression, lying in bed all day, to taking action.
Congrats

My dad once told me "Tough Times Don't Last, Tough People Do" ✊🙌
damm
You forgot the "Beenrvebrvrvevrvevevrcr"
Joe this hits home for me. I'll be 37 in a month and I've lost everything! I'm going thru a separation, apart from my children, lost my place, lost my job. In 2015 I won $251,000 in the Michigan lottery and I blew it ALL. Now Im staying in a spare bedroom at my sisters house. I've been drunk trying to numb the pain more days than not. I have struggled hard with regret and depression but after hearing this! After hearing your words and the Gods honest truth! I WILL be the success story that you spoke of, the guy who completely fucked his life up and gets it back together. Better than ever. One day at a time, starting with writing down my plan to succeed and doing the work!! Thank you!! God bless 🙏
You can do it buddy. Believe in yourself. Every single second is a chance to turn it all around ☺️
Update????
How are you doing now brother?
So hows it going for you in 2022?
Update?
"Discomfort is your friend"
Bam Jimenez That’s right. Because pain tells you you’re doing something difficult. Difficult means you’re conquering something new, and so you’ll grow stronger.
As, "Comfort is the enemy of growth."
Listening to Joe's podcast and the awesome people he has on, i too turned my life around. Lost 50 pounds, studied my ass of and am now close to finishing college. Videos like these contain very strong messages, but people should recognise there is no such thing as a sentence or a video that will give you the motivation needed to turn your life around, this you can only find yourself when you start the journey to become the hero of your life. But its so important to start it, however hard and unpleasant it is. I'm very lucky to live in a world where you can find content like this because Joe speaks a universal truth here in my opinion. Im not a hero of my life yet, but i went from being a bad guy to a good guy, and am striving to become a hero. You can do it people, believe in yourselves!
!!!!!!
Lessons are learned through struggle that hit home 🏡 🔥🔥
my mom's quote that stuck with me forever, "You're never ready for what you have to do, you just do it and that makes you ready."
She is very wise. This quote really resonated with me so thank you and your mother for the share. God bless
I love that
“Do the thing and you will have the power”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Thanks man. Best advice I've heard in a long time. Your mom sounds pretty bad ass.
Moms are brilliant.
I took this advice after my life fell apart....I got my wife, job, mental health and physical health all back in 1 year.
Thank you Joe
proud of you! always keep pushing and never give up and thanks for the inspiration
👍
Hey Joe this is Travis lenander l just wanted to say I love your videos and I truly am becoming the hero of My Own Story after 17 years of meth addiction 5 months sober been through treatment I'm really working hard at it I have a really strong program and I can't wait to life the Truman take place so I'm pushing it to truly take place cuz I know nothing's going to happen if I don't just sit around and wait
Good on you bro!! Keep pushing, every day is self improvement day!
keep it up the first year is ruff but it gets so fucking easy after that , then the dreams stop. go to NA meeting or church if your the religious type, take care and push
Now that's a movie I wanna see
Tay Tee you also have to redefine what personally defines happiness and success means for you. And not allow a general POV of how society defines those and remember that society’s limited POV’s are the LAST not the ONLY opinions of how success and happiness is defined
It's tuff but it gets easier as time goes by I used for probably 30 years just have a reason like a child or living a long life! Stay away from people that use I know it's hard say hi & bye. I learn when I hang with users I want to use in the beginning.
Something that helps get you motivated when you don't want to do something is visualize your goal and ask yourself,
*If I were motivated, what would I be doing right now?*
Visualizing yourself being motivated to work and accomplishing your goals helps you recall the feeling of being in that state of mind. Even if it takes some time, don't let yourself lose those motivated thoughts. Keep reminding yourself of what motivated you would be doing, you'll get there.
NOW GO OUT AND MAKE IT A REALITY.
The past 4 years for me has been full of chronic illness and injuries. I am finally starting to get everything back in check and its so freaking nice.
Hmmmm. I’ve just realized I have no respect for myself. Took 38 years to figure that out. Thanks Joe. So I guess this is day one then. :)
I believe in you Jason
Same here man! Best of luck to ya on your journey....ya got this :D
💪
Thanks all of you. That’s quite cool :)
@@jasonleech1254 sometimes it's good too be able to talk to other like minded people that dont bring u down or roll their eyes at u because they are bitter. Keep it up brother and dont fucking look back! 💪☝️👊
I listen to this everyday at 4:00 in the morning. Literally has helped me significantly. So thank you for this!!
To this day, I still listen almost everyday. It still impacts my life in different stages. Unreal how someone’s words concrete itself in someone’s mind. Thank you again!

Broke my pelvis in the gym 2 months ago being reckless, I started walking again a few days ago, after loosing 8 kilos I'm going to come back better than ever, stay focused and live your life like a movie, great video. Have a great day everyone! Be your best! 😊
Hope you’re well
I had a stroke after working in aviation for over thirty years. I kinda sat around watching UA-cam videos for a few months, then thought its time to get off my ass. It was winter so I started building an airplane in my basement. When spring finally hit I went on a 5000 mile motorbike trip to visit a friend and had the time of my life riding through the desert. I did a bunch of home renos that I didn't have time for when I was working. and now I'm planning a couple other bike trips. Considering retraining but I'm nervous of starting school again at over fifty , funny how I will ride across a country by myself but I'm scared of going to school. Gotta get over that one. Oh ya the planes not done yet but I'm still plugging away.
Thanks for the video
I needed this today. I had looked at porn earlier today, even though I shouldn't (and I've done so many times) but I am trying not to look at it anymore. I don't have a problem with it except for the fact that I'm trying to not look at it as much as I used to.
But now, after seeing this video, I'm even more determined to just get my day back on track and continue with writing my stories that I write every day. 1000 words a day, every day.
Was it a good porn?
Same here! Keep it up every day! Fuck yeah
I 🖤 porn
Da fuck
@@SirVonStein Fuck. Yeah!
For the last 2 years 2017 and 18 I been on my journey of self discipline and discovery .November last year I began playing this every time I work out and it’s heavily influenced me everywhere else in my life in the most positive way possible
Stress creates growth. It's how I handle it. Day 1 a new day today I get to do this life over again. How can I be a better version of me.
When you have tears stream down your face at a job you have to talk yourself into getting out of bed for, just to get there and look around with the sense of overwhelming discomfort knowing you can throw in the towel and walk away at any moment but you won't because that's not you. Sure i need the money but what i really want is the struggle to make me stronger to make the next struggle that much easier. Thanks joe. This is what i needed.
This is beautiful.
You better quit that job because it isn’t healthy for you. A job isn’t everything. There’s so much shit out there. Go out and find it. Crying and having to talk yourself out of quitting every day at work is NOT HEALTHY. Tell your boss the job is toxic and walk out.
Running ultra marathons helped me take control of my life. It changed my life. I devote my life to helping others find that "thing" inside them from my leadership position in my 9-5 to my UA-cam channel. Great video, thanks for what you do! and to all you watching, everything you need is in you, you just have to refine who you are to bring it out. You got this.
That kid running gives me goosebumps knowing that he dosent give one and is going to change is 1000% courage!
I HAVE START TO BUILD A NEW LIFE DAILY, NOT JUST FOR ME BUT FOR OTHERS TO, ITS MAGICAL.
Your mind will always resist taking the HARD route. You have to overtake your natural reaction to avoid discomfort.
I remember watching this when preparing for a very difficult college selection test in Indonesia. I am currently on sophomore year in ITB, my dream college since a kid. A lot of things have happened. Watching these types of motivational videos is where it started
With 1 exception, no comedian has ever made me laugh harder than Joe Rogan. Likewise, I've never been training & had the speaker in the background bring tears to my eyes, LIKE JOE ROGAN. In all seriousness, the past 2yrs have been challenging on an astronomical level...not even counting Covid. Long story short, I ROYALLY screwed my life up, got it back, then jacked it up again. I realize I'm Mr. Nobody from Pittsburgh, but Joe Rogan has brought GENUINE laughter & smiles to my face...one of the few to do so other than Kinison, like he has.
Thanks Joe Rogan this is something that helps me have hope.
I've lived a life many would consider insane (living off grid on minimal means) because I realized that difficulty and struggle was like a muscle at an early age. Recently I have set goals in my body shape and I love listening to Joe Rogan. He makes me feel sane in a world where most people think it is insane to evolve.
This is a really great speech however however I want to emphasize something you said in the beginning the only exception is the exception is sickness and injury I emphasize that because some people that are struggling with an illness and injury they put a 100 times more unnecessary pressure on themselves that it just continues to demonstrate their self esteem.. I've always compared myself to others and my family reminds me it's ok I'm playing on slightly different turf than others
Thank you so much
Just added this to my saved list. I am completely SOLD on learning to love being uncomfortable. Work to make it the norm. Invite it into your life, and laugh at it, as you crush your tasks and continue forward on your path. Amazing vid my man!!
“The most spiritual men, as the strongest, find their happiness where others would find their destruction: in the labyrinth, in hardness against themselves and others, in experiments. Their joy is self-conquest: asceticism becomes in them nature, need, and instinct. Difficult tasks are a privilege to them; to play with burdens that crush others, a recreation. Knowledge-a form of asceticism. They are the most venerable kind of man: that does not preclude their being the most cheerful and the kindliest.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche, The Anti-Christ
This video is amazing Joe Rogan!! I want to drive up from San Diego to LA and give you one big fucking hug. Thank you for making and putting it all together.
I fall asleep listening to this
Was bout to give up on my 40 min run and this video pushed me to finish on the last 5 mins I had left
To anyone watching this video and reading this comment, I hope you find it within yourself to be everything that you can be! Always be better than the day before! Achieve whatever it is that you’re working for! 👍🏻
Would love to meet Rogan listen to this man everyday
Literally the most important thing you can do is write a list. I done that in 2016. On the left side it had kill yourself on the right it had things I really wanted to do before I died. I smashed 99% of that list in 8 months. Then at the end of that year I lost my job, my home, my pets and my mum dropped down dead in January 2017 and we wasn't even speaking. I was put on suicide watch, had two mental breakdowns and ended up in hospital. And that's not even a quarter of what's happened to me.
You sometimes just gotta go right down in that dark well to see who you are and how much ya really wanna be here or not. Just remember mental health is NEVER just gonna be fixed! You gotta work on it every day. I realised that VERY recently. And now I have a routine I read and do EVERY single day without fail. I read the same 4 pieces of paper. One of which I wrote myself. And I watch this video, probably 7 times a year to keep me focused and not forget.
Whoever is reading this, just keep fucking going!!! Don't ever give up. Life is already short! Find yourself, then others will gravitate towards you. Don't feel you need anyone to validate you or make you worth while. My dad once said to me. Boy... You gotta love yourself before you can love anyone else. I thought at the time it sounded weird as fuck tbh. I wish I could bring him back to say I understand Dad. Thank you! X
Day 3
28 years old
I quit smoking , Switched to CBD only and for the first time in 2 years I went to my moms grave.
I started jumping rope and working out every morning and I'm committed to being this person til the day I die.
Joe Rogan is like father to me. Love him ❤️
We play a big roll in these type of videos ..,(great videos) ....but are the building blocks
This video has helped me so much through hard times and good times. Love it.
Today is day one of a new and extraordinary life
When you watch this video at least 3 times a week and then realise it’s your cousins channel 🤷♂️ 💪
Joe Rogan is a national treasure
I've seen almost thousand of motivation videos. This is the best ever.
addiction man. keep that shit away and stay strong y’all who have been dealing with it.
I’ve been eating healthy just about to finish my first hard week of exercising trying to lose weight . I have a long journey but I’m gonna do it I know I can .
Impressive. Thanks alot Joe.
Joe Rogan's roundhouse kicks are as beautiful as a psychedelic view of Mt. Everest's snow-capped summit! And his motivational mindset inspires as much empowerment as the feeling of smashing the go fast pedal on a '70 HEMI Cuda! Fuck yeah dude I am pumped! 💪🔥💪
I love exercise, I’m so glad I began exercising again, I lost all my fat I gained after high school and feel so whole, or at least closer to it.
Be kind to yourself,I'm a foster kid ex drug addict and been threw psudo spiritual path but you must own and respect yourself...much love to Joe for this
I have to push through everyday, as no days are easy. Truth is, the day I stop pushing through is the day I give death more ground than it deserves. It will have to fight its way to me and drag me into the next dimension fighting like a wild, untamed, pre-commercialize-collared & trained man in the wilderness.
There’s nothing more demotivating than getting into a motivational speech only to be stopped by an obnoxious UA-cam advert
What are the movies that are shown?
Yes, anyone? What are these movie clips from? Thanks
Rob K darude sandstorm: the movie
Clint Eastwood movie was million dollar baby, forget the name of the movie with jake in it, it was based on a true story tho I think
Allen Richardson one of them is Limitless with Bradley Cooper
Seeing the clips of the overweight kid jogging made me tear up because that used to be me. So proud of the journey I've been on knowing I'm no longer that loser I used to be. Keep hammering
Nice video
Anything worth doing is never easy. This videos timing is perfect, time to pull up my boot straps and put in the hard work.
Just got back from the gym. Rewind an hour and a half, I was laying in bed on youtube deciding whether or not I wanted to go. Found this video... 7 minutes in I got up and went :) I feel like I just won the day.
Man Joe,
Shit Hit Home forward for real.
Thank you for restart button.
Experience is what you got when you didn’t get what you wanted
sometimes no art is art
I listen to this on the treadmill before I go hard in the gym
Day 1 was yesterday. Everything I decide to go for is going to be a complete success or a fail, next. I will become renowned for DRIVING STRAIGHT THROUGH adverse variables and strategic miscalculations. I am going to be an Ice Road Trucker for real in 2019.
awesome!!!
LOVE THIS
Procrastination is opportunities assassin...
My 2021 motivation. The next 3 weeks I’m gonna be lazy as heck
This video changed my life
Can you do this one without ads. I get motivated then some bozos trying to sell me soap.
Within the next 24 hours I'll accomplish kickflip. Been trying all summer. Getting close, get frustrated and give up. This feels like the cherry on top of that cake I've been baking since starting skateboarding (again). This past June.
Joe Rogan is so damn sharp man !!! this literally ga e me chills ... #joerogan is the real deal ... love his work ..
If you are not willing to risk the usual, you will have to settle for the ordinary - Jim Rohn. I don’t want to be filled with regret when I get older.
"You lessen the stress of regular life." So true.
You are sincerely crushing my heart as I listen to this man
All these ads in the middle of this video are super motivating
PERIODDDDD omg I needed this shit..with the curse words and Everything! 💪💪 I do daily walks/jogs and today I didn't feel like doing it BUT I MADE A MYSELF A DO IT! then I hop on UA-cam and I hear this! 💪🙌 Thank you for this video! This is a DEFINITE "go to" video whenever I don't "feel like" doing something to improve myself.
U kno wat? I need this, these words you're sayin. I dont hav any1 that motivate me. I motivate others. I motivate myself but its nice 2 hav sum1 pump me up. My capabilities r limitless. Im Gin da Amazon. Raahhh!
Just got out of the hospital 60k in debt, lost my job... I needed this.
Minus the embarrassingly bad audio editing, this resonates with me. I'm a natural born fuck-up. The one thing that has kept me up though is not giving a ripe fuck about people liking me or not.
Now I'm a musician. I'll never achieve mainstream success but I'm fucking great.
Watching this before work. I'm ready now. Thanks Joe!
Every time before a work out! Any other good ones fellas?
Got to love hearing a motivation speech getting pumped and get a advertisement blast in your ear.
Drew Cummins guy how do you think the guy who makes these videos gets compensated for his time?

Most inspirational video ever
Joe Rogan for president
Can anyone recommend other personalities similar to Joe? Talking with no filter, no bullshit? I love him but feel like I’ve watched everything I possibly can of him lol
Dan Pena. The Ultimate Warrior. Actualized.org.
There’s so many of us that have talent in something but for whatever reason, found an excuse to to pursue it to the max.
I just worked out for the first time and weeks after listening to this
Thats the 2020 mindset right there
Rogan go hard!
Joe is talking about the book “The war of art” for anyone who is interested. It’s about defeating procrastination or as the author calls it “Resistance” awesome short book and it’s very cheap 👍🏼
I put this on then do abs every day. 17+ min of Joe Rogan telling me not to be a pussy. Telling me to seek discomfort. Telling me not to be average. Telling me to be the hero in my movie.
Still listening 💯
Im gonna stay at the job that keeps me away from my family, it pays pretty good and pays bills somewhat comfortably...… bottom line im wearing thin and left with praying I stay strong as im sure things will get better..... im gonna do a good job not a fast one.
having a wonderful time
Great video but ads killed it at some really good points for me.
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Habakkuk 2:2...
So refreshing to get a motivational speech without the screaming and crescendo back ground music. So loud you can hardly hear the screamer. Rogan's messages are realistic and fluff free.
I work at a job that I hated. But I was to scared to leave because I knew the job I've been there for awhile. I had fear of going to a new job because what if I wasn't good enough. That fear kept me at a job I hated because I was comfy there. But I woke up one day getting ready for work and on the drive to work. Something just came into my mind enough is enough. It took some time to train my mind to get all that fear all those negative thoughts out of my head. I work hard to get what I needed to apply for the new job. Now I have a better paying job, I like the supervisors and I like where I work for the first time in my life.
Joe Rogan your words are powerful...💯
God i love that. live your life like your the hero in your own movie
