Thank you so much for this video, I've made parzival my username since I was a child from reading ready player one, but never knew where the name came from exactly. Really amazing I just randomly wanted to learn about it especially recently getting really into jungian psychology, understanding archetypes, and had my own mystical experiences through golden teachers, saw my life in symbols plastered onto stained glass found in temples, I'm ever so grateful on how the universe tends to lead me these unexpected moments that give life to my soul, synchronicities I think.
Great video thank you for sharing. The Salmon myth also carries into the Irish myth cycles of Fionn MacCumhaill, who as a boy is being trained by a wizard or Druid. He catches a salmon from the river and is order to cook the salmon for the Druid but not to eat of it. Of course the boy is burned by a flickering piece of fat from the fish upon his thumb. The boy sucks his thumb and from that the wisdom of the King is placed upon him. The Druid upset as he wished to instill this knowledge understands the will of the event and Wes the boy as king. Quite like the Arthurian legend. A wonderful tale with so much symbolism intertwined in the mythic cycle.
WHY THE HELL ISNT THIS STORY MADE INTO A MOVIE?!?!?!?! One of the deepest most moving stories ever told. There are hundreds of King Arthur movies - but this one - the most powerful of the grail legends, has No Movie?!?!?!
No one ever talks about this movie... The Fisher King!!! With Robin Williams and Jeff Bridges. I just saw it today and it’s why I’m seeing this video now!!! It’s amazing. ua-cam.com/video/igAvHN_g6Zc/v-deo.html&feature=share
"Martial" as a metaphorical reference to the planet "Mars' which is, of course, associated with the God of War. Rage that is martial is looking to enter into combat to work itself out. Hope that helps.
The work of Robert A. Johnson is particularly helpful. I based my own analysis in part on the book by Johnson that explores this myth, "He". I would also recommend the book by Joseph Campbell, "Reflections on the Art of Living."
Thank you for posting! Love this myth. I found it really hard to hear you with the distracting background music. Could you post a version without it? Thanks!
Now he follows his heart, not the herd 💯

3 mins in, I'm realizing I've listened to this some time ago. Will that stop me from watching again? Not at all. A great reminder :)
Thank you!

Could you define martial rage?
"Martial" as a metaphorical reference to the planet "Mars' which is, of course, associated with the God of War. Rage that is martial is looking to enter into combat to work itself out. Hope that helps.
SophiaCycles yes it does! I would like to read more about this. Can you recommend any good books or articles?

Grail Quest. Redd.
What film are these segments from?
The clips are taken from Merlin 1998 (Steve Barron), Parsifal (opera--Sinopoli Conductor, Bayreuth) and Sire Gauvain et le Chevalier Vert (2014).
SophiaCycles Good job! Nice to see something other than Excalibur or Camelot-
